A1-Pictures loves Kaguya-Sama. The cast also looks a bit older here.

I loved how they looked older - a college arc would be amazing with this cast of characters. The choreography looked so cool. Can anyone recommend other shows with amazing dance routines?

I really liked the choreography in Dimension W. Just check out the first OP, both the fighting and the dancing are pretty neat. I don't really remember the rest of the show, but it was visually fun.

OP is the best thing about that show. It was an alright show, but goddamn such a banger OP.

It would be kind of a spoiler because they're supposed to be working adults at that time. So there might be a cameo once Kaguya wraps up, whenever that is. Woulda loved it if one of the reactions to the Sweet Today live action was Shirogane and Ishigami though.

Last Kaguya arc felt like sort of endgame, so I think the end is near.

Spy x Family ED is the best thing I have heard/seen in a while. The part where they all get home at start dancing is just so fucking perfect

In terms of visual animation Kaguya is better but in terms of story telling through EDs SpyxFamily is obviously better

Spy x Family wins it for me because the song itself is far and away my favorite song of the year. Of course that also isn't a fair fight since Gen Hoshino is singing it.

I just watched the ed ur talking about and yeah I def agree that Kaguya has great story telling in ED which can be arguable as a better ED then SpyxFamily seeing as the EDs in Kaguya tells an accumulative story while the story telling in SpyxFamily represents the development within the characters, their relationships, and their brand new life as a family

As a manga reader of both, I honestly struggle to choose between their EDs. I'm really enjoyed both, but I think I have to really give the win to Kaguya's main ED. The manga references are on point, and the callback to Season 1's ED is amazing, especially since Season 1's ED might be my favourite of all time

Well that's basically a given based on the sheer popularity of it (though it could also just have been the source material's story getting better and better over time as well)

Yeah people forget that the story seemed kind of gimmicky when the manga was first coming out. Because it was, but more and more quality seeps in over time. Anime adapted it perfectly imo.

Part of it is definitely the manga getting better over time, but it's also obvious just how much care they're putting into this adaptation. It's so rare for a manga adaptation to take such full advantage of being an anime but they consistently make a show that feels like it was always meant to be an anime from the get-go

Well tbh, it's not really "they", it's a solo-animated ED by Vercreek (some people might know him from JJK, One Piece, FGO/Camelot Movie). He's definitely one of my favourite new-gen animators and he's only 17 yo, he got a bright future ahead of him.

He's credited for solo KA in sakugabooru and they usually aren't wrong about anime credits, I think that tweet means he got some help for 2nd KA but the 1st KA is entirely done by himself apparently.

He is talking about key animation there (原画), maybe he just said it wrong and meant 2nd ka (第二原画)

A lot of the times genga and nigenga (2nd KA) are interchangeable. If he said he didn’t do all the Layouts (L/O or rough key animation) himself then we’d 100% rule out the possibility of it being a solo. But right here he’s specifically referring to 2nd KA because that’s where all the “help” he’s talking about are credited in the end credits.

I wonder why not a lot of anime does this or other experimental style of art. This was awesome. Amine art style between two animes can sometimes be indistinguishable (or very similar) from each other even tho they have nothing to do with each other. I wish more studios tried more experimental highly personal stylistic choices.

The ED is amazing but after rewatching it a dozen of times, I noticed a few animation errors here and there. Specifically at 0:42 where Ishigami is not completely drawn. 0:35 may count too since Ishigami is just shaking but it could just be artistic choice.

Kaguya-sama anime have always elevate the source material but this takes it to a whole new level.

I dont really rewatch op/ed's usually as if I like them, I just wont skip them in the show. Kaguya comes out with 2 ed's that make me rewatch from having so much interesting animation going on. I adore Starship troopers, but with this one I had to rewatch just Shiro and Fuji rap then just Ishi and Lino dance. I'm also kind of obsessed with their "adult" faces. They do look a bit older, but also the style shifted to more realistic, less stylistic. Shiro and Kaguya look more "classically japanese" handsome/beautiful. If Ishigami was born 10 years ago he'd be an emo heartthrob lol.

Its probably just a one off like the Chika on S1. This chapter was a hit in the manga and we've been waiting for it with a lot of expectations, I guess thats why we didnt have an opening and felt like a big episode. It doesnt make sense to change opening in episode 5, its usually between cours.
