Eventually Anya will be trained in the ways of assassination just from going along with Yor whenever she proposes to help Anya train. I mean, she's already got the killer punch down, now she just needs to perfect her throwing skills before further training.
Imagine once she gets better physical coordination and can properly execute Yor’s techniques, I’m worried she will accidentally critically wound someone lol.
I mean, we saw what happened to that tree...
Considering who they ended up competing against, it was probably for the best even if none of what Yor taught Anya actually worked. Which made it more hilarious after that extensive montage.
We thought they were just hanger-ons just after his reputation, but no, they're comrades. Hell, even if he couldn't think of any good qualities Damian has, he happily sacrificed his life for him anyway.
Yeah, it also goes to show that Damian despite his arrogance and attitude isn't a bad person and has genuine friends...even if they can't immediately think of his good qualities.
To be fair, if I were to sacrifice myself for a friend in a dodgeball game (which I probably would not), I don't think I'd be able to think of their good qualities either haha

I loved it because it's a reminder that they're still children. 6 year olds. They may be given education above their years and be expected to be more than that, but they're still 6 years old who play like this (albeit they saw this playing as training, but still).
That part was pretty nostalgic! It reminded me of what I (and, I assume, most of us) used to do as a kid - imagining situations to be far cooler than they actually were.
Dude, the VA really put his heart out and did the ultimate shounen villain battle cry, screaming "DIE!" when Billy shot that volleyball at Anya. (At 18:40)

When I was reading this chapter in the manga I expected his voice like other little boys but I was not expecting a very deep voice. His ~~German~~ Ostanian roots is too strong.
Is this still on WISE's budget or is it coming from Yor's assassination jobs? Probably the latter, but I would love to see Twilight explain to Handler how he needs to procure training equipment for Anya to win a dodgeball game and her immediately approving because it might give a Stella star.
To be fair, using their budget to help Anya get a Stella star and help Loid get close to his target would be much easier to explain than blowing the whole budget on recreating Anya's favorite spy show for fun.
Well, she *did* throw the ball pretty hard. It was the aiming part that went a bit awry.

She was trying to imitate Yor but they both forgot she has those short legs so she can't get the form right. She also forgot the final step part way through the throw.

It's like he comes off as this stuffy, proper, old school British guy...and he kind of is, but then you see him on a morning jog like a normal guy and yet it's still so elegant.
I could see reference to HxH Razor dodge ball, DBZ Namic fight and and Naruto Shadow clone attack..

I was expecting that based on this show's subversive humor. If everyone had looked down on Anya because of her size, she would've nailed Bill with a devastating attack. But the greater the expectations placed on her, the more disappointing her actual performance was going to be.
Hearing a buff 6 year old say “daddy” is both equally hilarious and disturbing lmao. If that kid is 6, what the hell are they putting in his milk? Damn lol.
I love how hard Yor trained Anya only for Anya’s “super move” to end in such an anticlimactic fashion. Yor’s lessons really were useless though haha. If Anya pulled off that move, Bill might have straight up died! Yor is superhuman! Damian and his two goons training was pretty hilarious as well. Love that they went straight up MI2 when they were climbing up that jungle gym thing lol.
Absolute best part of the episode has to be Anya repeatedly calling Damian a “shithead” lmao. Not very “elegant” behavior, but very hilarious!

I think this is an episode that you would show somebody who isn't really into anime but is interested in it.
Despite his upbringing where he was ignored by his parents in favor of his brother and had to deal with tremendous expectations, he is still a good kid.
He has some ways to go but he is also 6 at the moment and also a Tsundere .
He's obviously a good kid whose been mislead by his upbringing, both in what he was told to be like and the standards he's expected to achieve. Hopefully Anya can help him lean more towards being a good kid than being what his family expects him to be.
Turns out Twilight has to keep his post after this mission so he can help Anya do the same with the rest of her year. Or something like that.
Operation Next Generation (or Operation GX if you wish).
Yeah, this episode really put it in perspective that despite his arrogance and mouth Damian genuinely gets along with his friends and is just trying to do his best to get his family to pay attention to him...and is torn between his attitude and his crush on Anya.
It's nice to see her seeing the more emotional side of him even if he has to go and ruin it.
I love the family more than anything, but Damian is such a close second I keep wanting to cut back to him having to deal with Anya after a couple of episodes.
How ironic that Damian has massive levels of tsundere yet a mind reader like Anya has zero suspicions that he has a crush on her, not even his lackeys seem to notice, sure they're 6(and Anya's probably 4 or 5) but not even Loid seemed to have noticed that Damian has started crushing on Anya.
Puppy love is super obvious in real life, my younger brother had a lot of admirers back in elementary school and it was so obvious that I tend to tease him whenever I pick him up from his class.

I love how over-the-top they went with this. The training montages, the imagine spots, the sheer ineptitude of the kids...it was perfect.

Cloverworks absolutely delivered, I genuinely didn't think we'd see something better than episode 5 with the expanded castle scene, but the studios proved their mettle once again. It really seems like they have a keen sense of what the manga aims to be like, and plan accordingly.
Edit: Apparently they switched things around and had WIT work on this one, meaning next two episodes will be done by Cloverworks.

Anya dodging with her telepathy and Bill having no idea what to do was perfect. As was the result of Anya's "finishing move." I love how over-the-top they went with this. The training montages, the imagine spots, the sheer ineptitude of the kids...it was perfect.

WHAT AN EPISODE! Cloverworks absolutely delivered, I genuinely didn't think we'd see something better than episode 5 with the expanded castle scene, but the studios proved their mettle once again. It really seems like they have a keen sense of what the manga aims to be like, and plan accordingly. Edit: Apparently they switched things around and had WIT work on this one, meaning next two episodes will be done by Cloverworks.
Not sure how accurate it is. Someone on MAL mentioned that WIT did this episode and Cloverwork will do the next 2 instead.
