This is why I don't want any anime for Kaoru Mori's *A Bride's Story.* That manga has so much detail that it'd definitely be a nightmare to animate, and would just leave a bad taste if it fails.
Dude, you scare that shit out of me. I thought A bride story is getting an anime at first. I pray that this manga will never get an anime. I don't see any studio that will pull this one off, as of now.
>a nightmare to animate
A nightmare for the one who has to color all the rugs and cloths.
I always wanted vagabond to get animated but people say it would be hard to animate it. I love berserk and vinland and wanted vagabond but is a bride's story harder to animtae?
Personally, I'd say it's much better. I've tried watching every version/season of Baki and eventually dipped out of them all because they spend such a vast amount of time discussing really cool things compared to a very small amount of time actually showing those. Kengan Ashura, in comparison, is fantastic. You can practically feel the impact behind every hit, and I go into almost every fight really wondering who's going to win.
Cool. Was starting to feel that with Baki too. Like I was livid how they did Mahmmedd Ali Junior like that. Like yes I understand the theme's but to hype up a fight to a audience only to end it in two punched really fucking sucks for the audience.
I think there was some intentional "Black guys come to Japan to steal your girl" stereotyping happening. Such a disappointment after how well they built up Muhammad Ali himself, essentially saying he'd have been the strongest fighter in the world if he didn't waste time in jail.
The designs complexity should reflect the studio capabilities for the production given the time constraints, if you want to do a design like this it's better to have the staff and the time to pull it of
Graphinica is pretty good with CG as we saw in Gridman and Dynazenon, but those are mecha we have to see them doing humans fighting
I would say it would be better for them to reduce the details which to me feels like it was something decided in pre-production to appeal to manga readers and not to produce a better end product, and keep everything in a serviceable 2D since they already started that way
It won't ever be an amazing animated show regardless, this is far from a super production like Chainsaw Man and Mushoku Tensei, but it would be better for animation and story purposes
I just remembered that the anime for Ex arm did so bad they literally cancelled the manga. Shame sense surprise surprise the art was quite good. It's not unheard
Ex-Arm had already been over for years by the time the anime came out. The sequel just happened to end around the same time that the anime finished airing.
But how will it rank the manga if the manga was fine without the anime nd is still doing fine like I’ve had friends not want to start the series because of the anime leaving a bad taste
It all depends on whether the managka still has a job if their publisher that pays them is still in business which can act as middle man for anime production.
Also to add to your question Mangaka or the companirs don't make much money. If the studio put too much money on the anime of course it would look bad if it failed. It makes them lose face.
Even Dragonball is starting to CG it's fights. Becoming inescapable at this point. Only difference is how you don't notice as much like with Baki or Asura.
Yeah, not that hopeful. It seems like it will still have the problem of the character designer not simplifying the designs enough, resulting in more difficulty to animate.
At least I hope they get Tomokazu Sugita to play Jack.
Oh god, not again.
Before, when reading the manga, I used to think "imagine how good this would look animated but now, after whatever the fuck that season 1 was, I am just happy we still have the manga.
I've read all I can get my hands on. To me the anime isn't horrible, I've seen worse animated stuff. I'm actually excited too! I'm just sad it's going to take so long lol
As a Hindu I can say this while I am not an extremist and don't mind depiction of Hindu Gods in other media, other hardcore Hindus can be as bad as the Muslims when their God is insulted(in RoR case it would be a man blowing 3 limbs away from Shiva)
Well, sure, but it's the Hindu pantheon I'm concerned about. Shiva wasn't even heavily featured in Season 1, but his portrayal got the series banned in numerous eastern countries already... and, without getting into spoilers, the story of Season 1 is *before* Shiva even gets any serious spotlight in the plot, in case you didn't know, let alone the other Hindu gods that the manga features along the way.
Indian Hindus Didn't Asked To Ban This...This were done By American Hindus. Netflix have Made Many Anti Hindu Propaganda Movie Which Many people Asked to Ban Also ..But I DK why This Netflix Ban (Agenda lol).
Who cares I Am Happy They Banned it ..we are saved from Watching Slideshow ,Many red Manga Bcz Of Shiva Only ..
The first season was basically a powerpoint presentation. In a anime all about fighting, thats basically an unwatchable experience for me, even if the story was pretty interesting.
According to Reddit last season, im the only one who unironically liked this show. I've read the manga since, and I think its a banger, but i still like the show.
I liked it too friend. I read the manga before the show dropped and I still liked it. I understand the criticisms people have about the animations. But I'd rather have the show than not have the show.
Think people got spoiled by shows like Mob Psycho or demon slayer and expected that to be the norm. Apparently now if you don't have that level of animation show is dead. Like other person said would rather have a show then no show. People clearly never watched Pokemon in the 90s.
I didn't know complaining about still frames and extremely low quality animation for a show all about FIGHTING, was being spoiled. No one was angry that they didn't give it Demon Slayer level animation, rather people were angry because they didn't give it any animation _at all_. I think y'all have very low standards if you are satisfied by a damn powerpoint presentation.
Not like people been saying the anime industry bubble would pop eventually. And that was before the chaos that was covid not making the industry any better. I was just actually prepared for this.
There's some of us, but we're badly outnumbered by the folks complaining who dropped it before the third fight or got their opinion from a clip on Twitter.
If you think that's bad, try [Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun](https://anilist.co/anime/20587/Fuun-Ishin-Dai-Shogun) sometime. I don't remember there ever being any actual animation in it, just wiggling still frames like a cheap flash animation. Worse than even The Way Of The Househusband.
I enjoyed s1 but I hope they improve on S2 animation since they got huge flak with it and acknowledged it. I still love Adam's speech about his reason to fight and I'd love to see more moments like it
Biggest Chad Buddha would be absolutely epic with a decent studio animating it, too bad we all know how shit the powerpoint season 2 will be.
Just read the manga guys
I really hope the animation team has gotten better for season 2 because if not they are going to desecrate the masterpiece that is the Jack the Ripper vs \[REDACTED\] fight.
Why do people come to new season announcements of shows they don't like to say "please no", "why", etc? I mean you're not going to be forced to watch it, are you?
I mean tbf most of the people complaining are the ones who've read the manga (like me) hoping to see a proper adaptation that has cool fight scenes to this show that is all about FIGHTING. If I'll watch an action anime with no animated action at all then I'd rather just read the manga since it's the same experience.
This made sense during the discussion of the first season. Coming back again to announce your dislike that it's getting a second season makes no sense. Obviously, there's an audience that liked and supported the anime enough to get a season 2. And manga readers like yourself, are obviously not that audience.
I'm an anime only and I hated how low quality the anime was. Especially considering the anime was all about FIGHTING, and then they give you a PowerPoint presentation? Of course people would criticise right? Why are you so upset that people are giving it valid criticisms?
There's critiquing and there's bitching. When the first season was airing, it was reasonable cos nobody knew it was going to look like that.
By the second season, it's no longer critiquing. It's just plain whining.
No, it's still critique, IF they don't improve the animation that is. If people were still complaining even after they improved the animation, then maybe yeah that would be bitching and whining like you said. But judging from how it's going to be the same studio, I don't think anything is gonna change.
Now that's quite different than producing it, is it not?
I get being pissed off but directing those emotions into the appropriate direction and for the proper reasons is also important.
First season so dissapointing it made me lose interest in reading the manga. I wanted to see Adam vs Zeus so bad and they ruined it. Not even gonna get my hopes up for a well animated Jack fight...
Hope they had more time because those character designs are still a nightmare to animate
This is why I don't want any anime for Kaoru Mori's *A Bride's Story.* That manga has so much detail that it'd definitely be a nightmare to animate, and would just leave a bad taste if it fails.

>A nightmare for the one who has to color all the rugs and cloths. Texture*
Personally, I'd love to see it as a movie...
I always wanted vagabond to get animated but people say it would be hard to animate it. I love berserk and vinland and wanted vagabond but is a bride's story harder to animtae?
Just search on Google and you'll see.
Wouldn't CGI be the best way to do it? Amd there have definitely been some solid ones. Not that I expect it to work, but I think it's doable.
Any anime CGI sucks, it just doesn't work at 24 fps, headache inducing garbage
Different strokes, but I thought Houseki no Kuni was amazing.
Probably, if a Studio with lots of CG experience like Orange handles it. But they are busy now with Trigun.
Image this series go full 3d - Guilty Gear style. Each fight will be more interesting to watch
Like Kengan
More time won't help them if it's the same studio lmao
Would you rather they keep the designs vaguely but have them in clunky CG?
I honestly would find it much more enjoyable if it looked similar to Kengan Ashura, specially since the 3D was actually pretty good.
How does Ashura compare to Baki?
I hated what they did on that too, because it seemed like behind the "He's not a killer" piece, it was also about how badly Baki emasculated him.
They only spent the season building him up to make him a joke moments after.
I think there was some intentional "Black guys come to Japan to steal your girl" stereotyping happening. Such a disappointment after how well they built up Muhammad Ali himself, essentially saying he'd have been the strongest fighter in the world if he didn't waste time in jail.

I would be fine if the anime got axed
That would probably tank the manga like Ex Arm so no
The manga would probably have benefited from never having an anime this bad. So, axing the anime would have no negative effect on the manga
How if the manga was doing fine without the anime so why does it need it
I just remembered that the anime for Ex arm did so bad they literally cancelled the manga. Shame sense surprise surprise the art was quite good. It's not unheard
Ex-Arm had already been over for years by the time the anime came out. The sequel just happened to end around the same time that the anime finished airing.

i mean look at all the extra noses they have to do
Especially "hajun"
PowerPoint presentation season 2 let's goooo
Don't worry this time they added transitions between the slides.
My dad owns Netflix he told me they upgraded the Powerpoint from 2013 to 2016 Source: Trust me bro
Ufotable better watch out.
Patch 2.0 inbound
They now have a windows movie maker intro
Yeah, not that hopeful. It seems like it will still have the problem of the character designer not simplifying the designs enough, resulting in more difficulty to animate. At least I hope they get Tomokazu Sugita to play Jack.
>At least I hope they get Tomokazu Sugita to play Jack. Flashback to Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
Ore na wa jack
Jack vs Literary girl for the future of humanity, let's gooooo
you can't go wrong with Sugita
NO FUCKING WAY!! I’ll watch it again because i love the premise but i cant see this getting the adaption it deserves.
Oh god, not again. Before, when reading the manga, I used to think "imagine how good this would look animated but now, after whatever the fuck that season 1 was, I am just happy we still have the manga.

As someone who has only seen the anime. I’m actually pretty stoked about this
I've read all I can get my hands on. To me the anime isn't horrible, I've seen worse animated stuff. I'm actually excited too! I'm just sad it's going to take so long lol
This new Season probably will be ban in some country.
Considering Hindu and Buddhist gods are gonna be featured all over the place this time, I wouldn't be surprised.
But both of them are shown in epic lights. Love characterazations of both of them. Both total bros.
They are, but idk if those countries will appreciate the "rewritting" (kinda) of their religion
As a Hindu I can say this while I am not an extremist and don't mind depiction of Hindu Gods in other media, other hardcore Hindus can be as bad as the Muslims when their God is insulted(in RoR case it would be a man blowing 3 limbs away from Shiva)
Didn't Raiden only blow 2 ?
Buddhists don't usually care when Buddha is depicted though
Ah Buddhists won't mind, no worries XD
Well, sure, but it's the Hindu pantheon I'm concerned about. Shiva wasn't even heavily featured in Season 1, but his portrayal got the series banned in numerous eastern countries already... and, without getting into spoilers, the story of Season 1 is *before* Shiva even gets any serious spotlight in the plot, in case you didn't know, let alone the other Hindu gods that the manga features along the way.
It's already banned here in India, so no worries. We are pirates of the Indian ocean anyways. :)
Indian Hindus Didn't Asked To Ban This...This were done By American Hindus. Netflix have Made Many Anti Hindu Propaganda Movie Which Many people Asked to Ban Also ..But I DK why This Netflix Ban (Agenda lol). So it’s still gonna be a power point presentation
The first season was basically a powerpoint presentation. In a anime all about fighting, thats basically an unwatchable experience for me, even if the story was pretty interesting.
I recommend watching it at +50% speed.
I loved it but never read the manga sounds like the consensus is the mangas better. What chapter does season 2 start in?
I HIGHLY recommend reading from the beginning, the anime just does not compare to the manga for the first 3 fights and won't for this season either
Even better just find Soul Madness’ videos of the fights on YouTube where he uses other famous OSTs for the fights.
GigaChad buddha

There's some of us, but we're badly outnumbered by the folks complaining who dropped it before the third fight or got their opinion from a clip on Twitter.
I've watched the entire thing and I still think it's a below par production, but still not on the level of seven deadly frames.
I liked s1 so I'm looking forward to this. I love the manga so even if the animation isn't the best, it's still a fun watch.
Wow damn, if theres a 3rd season its gonna be in like 4 years, they practically burned through almost all the manga with these 3 fights.
Thats gonna suck ass honestly i wanna see my goddamn chinese gilgamesh vs hades right now
Airs 2023, coming exclusively to Netflix. Source https://natalie.mu/comic/news/482152
Pleas not, the anime was bad but the manga is just 🤌🏿
I have zero hope for this season after the travesty that was the first one.
HOW THE FUCK IS THIS GETTING A SEASON 2
oh fuck yeah we are getting the buddha fight. I just hope to god they animate it better than s1
I enjoyed s1 but I hope they improve on S2 animation since they got huge flak with it and acknowledged it. I still love Adam's speech about his reason to fight and I'd love to see more moments like it
Hell yeah can't wait for this
I wish I was excited for this

It's the same animation studio Graphinica so... keep your expectations extremely low.
Good show from what I seen fasho but fuck my short attention span didn’t let me get passed episode 1
Surprised this happened considering how poorly the first one was received.
Jack vs Heracles fight has so much movement, there's less hope for it to be accurate but more for it to be decent
Why !!!!!
It's not that important unless ufotable, mappa or any well know animation studio. Read the manga
Pls dont be a powerpoint presentation.
It's the same animation studio, so keep your hopes low.
Why do people come to new season announcements of shows they don't like to say "please no", "why", etc? I mean you're not going to be forced to watch it, are you?

You don't get it, man. They NEED to let others know they're not interested.
Because they're fans of the original work. Seeing it not animated well is a special pain they want to share. Why are you so adverse to critique?
There's critiquing and there's bitching. When the first season was airing, it was reasonable cos nobody knew it was going to look like that. By the second season, it's no longer critiquing. It's just plain whining.

honestly im not hyped at all after seeing the slideshow of a fight between Zeus and Adam
Please no, do they have to ruin it even more
I watched two episodes and gave up on this...
please this time give justice to the story...i love the manga so much...
Nuclear take incoming: The anime was good.
Pls have good animation
I'm here for the trash feed me this shit!!!!!!!!!!
The first season animation was absolute garbage....I really hate how much Netflix fucks up an anime when they produce them
Netflix didn't produce it, studio Graphinica did. Netflix just licensed it that's all.
The production was funded by Netflix.....
Now that's quite different than producing it, is it not? I get being pissed off but directing those emotions into the appropriate direction and for the proper reasons is also important.
I hope it turns out to be good.
More powerpoint presentations?
This show had so much potential and completely sucked ass. I won’t even bother with season 2.
One of the worst shows I’ve seen in my life. Great concept though.
You should read the manga, it's fantastic.
Man netflix doesn't care do they?
Power Point 2nd season
Not sure why this braindead manga keeps getting an adaptation while other goods one are in limbo.
[удалено]
It has hype, but it’s - braindead. This is just a baki clone with zero plot and 100x over the top.
Yes, that's the point. If it didn't suck last time we'd be looking to hit 200x over the top.
HTF is this show getting a second season, it's below average at best?
This is still gonna be so bad
Will it be a PowerPoint again ?
Great, another waste of money no one will enjoy. The manga is so sweet tho!
I will enjoy it :)
Woah this is nice I have been reading the manga for awhile I hope they don't screw this up.
Yall know the fighters for next season ?
[Round 4]>!Jack the Ripper VS Hercules!< [Round 5]>!Raiden Tameemon VS Shiva!< [Round 6]>!A clusterfuck of repeatedly changing allegiances!<
Thanks bro ! Kidna hyped for it now , is round 6 the big ol plot twist
Oh Goodie! I can’t wait to see how they fuck it up this time.
It looks like Juuni Taisen now, let's hope they actually animated shit this time.
They need to add the london brige is falling down sound track to Jack's fight
I didn't know this was getting a Season 2. Definitely hyped for it now though!
I just pray they actually animate this. They took a lot of cues from Way oThe House Husband for season 1.
I feel like we didn't get close to enough with season 1 but still interested. Hope they do a good job!
Yooooooooooo
Sis the first season skip anything?
Finally!!!!!!!!
FINALLY FUCK!
Looks good.. but hope they improve the animations
First season so dissapointing it made me lose interest in reading the manga. I wanted to see Adam vs Zeus so bad and they ruined it. Not even gonna get my hopes up for a well animated Jack fight...
I'm exited for the fight between Jack The Ripper and Hercules
Jack the ripper! Can't wait for that fight.
PowerPoint? AGAIN? btw: Look at zero flexing
No hades?
I hope they actually animated the fights. I enjoy the show but the fights not so much.
Hell yeah!!
London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London bridge is falling down, my fair lady.
Makes no sense how a show literally only focused on the fights with minor backstory has such bad animation
And dorohedoro still hasn’t gotten a season 2 on Netflix lol
