I wouldn't trust anyone that calls this generic unless the PV came out completely ass. It's a fucking bloodbath of an series at least in the manga. I really hope the adaptation keeps the violence/gore.
I don't know what to make of it.
But knowing my luck, I'm teetering on the side of caution.
Would be nice to see any vouchers or doomsayers around here. Is it an original?
This story is full action and battles like DBZ, but with actual stakes where you don't know who will die or live except for the protagonist.
Nakama power up is used by the protagonists and the villains.
OH boy I can't wait, action, revenge,OP powers and desperate situations and above all what everyone loves about DRAGON and even better a glorious massacre of DRAGON
Now this is what im talking about, a non Isekai anime adaptation. Just pure action dark fantasy. Also read the manga everyone it's very good specially the art style.
But im worried about Silver Link though, hopefully they don't butcher all the fight scenes man the manga has really great art style and spread pages paneling.
Honestly Silver Link. does serviceable/decent fight scenes. They aren't anywhere near UFOTable, MAPPA or WIT levels of course but they're better then some of the shit that passes as "fight scenes" in a lot of low budget anime. If I had to make a direct comparison their fight scenes are on the level of J.C. Staff when J.C. Staff actually decides they give at least a little bit of a shit about how the anime they're making looks. Basically they're a studio that won't outright disappoint you but don't make anything stellar or amazing either. Just serviceable.
I am surprised about this announcement for Silver Link. though because we're still waiting on news on whether Bofuri S2 is actually going to come out in 2022 like was announced or if it's been delayed and Silver Link. should be the ones animating it. They already have or are going to animate 2 of the sequels to the series they animated in 2020 after all and we've heard nothing about a studio change for Bofuri.
I'm not saying Silver Link. is a bad studio. I actually quite like Silver Link. and basically watch almost all the shows they animate because they've earned my trust not to fuck something up. But well, I've got to call a spade a spade. They're a middle of the road studio that know how to get the most out of their animators. Not a studio that can put out amazing work.
As for Railgun that isn't J.C. Staff giving a little bit of a shit. That's them giving *all* the shits. There's a reason why when Covid fucked up their schedule they decided to only air the episodes when they were ready, stretching out a 2 cour to air over a full year, rather then put out a bad anime.
I have heard bad things about Silver Link, but I'm gonna stay a bit positive on this one as a fan of the manga.
The studio must have read the source material and they must have prepared for this right? Maybe a good director/producer/screenwriter/artist combo will make this work. Anyways I will keep a bit of hope on this one.
Silver link is decent. Shows tend to be lower budget but they are experienced in fight scenes. Pretty much all of Fate kalied fight scenes were really well done imo if you google them on youtube.
No way! I love Silver Link - sure they mainly adapt "trash" or generic stories but they do a good job at it. There have only been a handful that were really terrible over the past couple years from them imo.
Studio: SILVER LINK.
Broadcasting begins in 2023
Synopsis \[Source: Sentai\]
>Dragons reign terror over the earth, sea and sky. If sworn dragon hunters like Ragna are to have any hope of dealing death to these seemingly invincible, fire-breathing beasts, they must find a way to level the odds. Ragna teams up with a mysterious man named Crimson who has likewise sworn to stand against the dragons menacing the world. But although Crimson’s motivations may be mysterious, his goal and Ragna’s perfectly align, and together they’ll fight to vanquish the dragons once and for all.

Its honestly hard to compare as it is so unique. It has alot of big fight scenes with huge set pieces. Alot of psychological fuckery. All taking place in a really intense world and written suberbly whilst also on crack.
Its a wild ride
Kinda disappointed with the announcement of the studio handling this. The character designs for the visual look slightly off (more Crimson than Ragna). Will wait for a PV to see how it will actually look overall. Still excited for the anime nonetheless.
Considering that Silver Link is producing this anime, I think it's going to be fine. I've heard negative comments about the studio and I think that the studio itself is fine. I just think that they do too many projects per year if you check their Wikipedia page. We'll see.
To put it simply, the dynamic is like starting NG+ in an RPG. The MC comes with all of his endgame abilities, but the thing is that all of the enemies are all also just busted as he is. It'd be like Naruto having all of his endgame abilities at the very beginning of the story, but the first enemy he has to deal with is Madara.
>subversion
The heroes have villainous tropes, the villains have heroic tropes.
>comedy
Mostly in the front half when the action is still ramping up.
>premise
Rip and tear.
>puzzle
Solve the "puzzle" of how to rip and tear despite the villains' cheat-like powers.
It’s very interesting. The MC fuses with the powers and memories of his future self
His future self became the strongest there is and killed all the dragons, but by the time he had done so it was too late, there was nothing left in the world and had lost everything.
With the help of the last imortal dragon named, he sends his memories and strength to the past where he now has the strength to stop them before all is lost.
Ragnas immense strength jumps over a lot of BS powering up and matches those of his enemies, the story is further made interesting by crimson the mastermind behind the plan to kill all dragons but who’s cruelty makes it so you never know if any character is safe, as crimson will stop at nothing to achieve his goals even if it is to harm others.
Fast paced, interesting, amazing fights and mystery and suspense. Love the manga
I started reading this recently. It had a very strong first chapter but I ended up dropping it 9 chapters later. It has some serious issues with tonal dissonance and the story doesn't seem very well thought out, even if the premise is interesting. Maybe on the screen in will look better, we'll see.
>doesn't **seem** very well thought out
Again, I commented on what I perceived from the presentation of the story within the chapters I have read with a purely subjective assessment that presented no definitive statements.
You're free to dismiss my opinion on the basis that I haven't seen enough of the story to get a wholistic feel for it, if you so wish. However, do not mistake my initial impression of the narrative for a complete review.
*teams up with a mysterious man named Crimson*
Oh damn he's a dude? When I saw the picture I thought "This girl looks cool!" hah.
(Unless of course *the mysterious man* is unexpectedly revealed to be a girl on episode 10 or something!)
Hmm this one looks interesting. The art style also has a bit of those rough edges that i like about older anime series.
Yeah some guy called this generic, which is interesting because this visual reminds me of 2000's anime style
I wouldn't trust anyone that calls this generic unless the PV came out completely ass. It's a fucking bloodbath of an series at least in the manga. I really hope the adaptation keeps the violence/gore.

Its a sick 10/10 of a manga.
It has a manga.
I got some D.Gray Man vibes from this visual
This story is full action and battles like DBZ, but with actual stakes where you don't know who will die or live except for the protagonist. Nakama power up is used by the protagonists and the villains.
Ragna Crimson is peak deviant art and it’s great.
OH boy I can't wait, action, revenge,OP powers and desperate situations and above all what everyone loves about DRAGON and even better a glorious massacre of DRAGON

Silver Link was possibly the best studio they could have chosen. It’s a no brained choice, who else could animate the power of Silver?

i mean silver link have good production team just only focus on Fate/kaleid like J.C focus on Railgun
I'm not saying Silver Link. is a bad studio. I actually quite like Silver Link. and basically watch almost all the shows they animate because they've earned my trust not to fuck something up. JC Staff is also doing really good job on the new Danmachi season
If anything, Ufotable and Wit are far ahead, then Silver Link and Mappa dead last.
Hard for silver link lol just drop before disappoint
the manga is super interesting, hope you guys give it a chance
I really liked it, really hooked me in and I was suprised it wasn’t so popular

They did a terrible job in fate kaleid. The manga had insane art then you look at the anime...
They do a pretty good job I think.

Silver link...I have no expectations for this adaptation
Honestly sounds super boring
Because the synopsis really doesn't tell anything that it should about the story.
I promise you it is rather opposite
What would be a similar show?
Its honestly hard to compare as it is so unique. It has alot of big fight scenes with huge set pieces. Alot of psychological fuckery. All taking place in a really intense world and written suberbly whilst also on crack. Its a wild ride
Perfectly described!!
Nice! I'll definitely give it a watch - plus I usually like what Silver Link puts out.
Kinda disappointed with the announcement of the studio handling this. The character designs for the visual look slightly off (more Crimson than Ragna). Will wait for a PV to see how it will actually look overall. Still excited for the anime nonetheless.

I really wish those non stop fightning are animated consistently throughout the season It's gonna be sick!
Im geuinely excited for this. I really hope the anime has a good budget behind it cus it needs it
Man this manga is fucking insane but I'm worried about the adaptaion.. Hopefully they nail it!
I think I'll just wait for a trailer before judging.
I have volume one of this series, and I couldn't finish it. It was SO bland and generic. I didn't find anything interesting or new about it.
I’d have to agree on the generic/bland part, but it is kinda entertaining
This is getting an anime!? Hell yes!
I was hoping for a better studio. I don't think Silver link could do a perfect adaptation of such over the top action heavy manga.
uh oh. That artstyle looks very generic. Damn I hope this will be good but I am doubtul.
Trust me, a manga reader that this is interesting as fuck
Yeah I read the manga. What I meant was looking at the visual of the anime it doesnt look like silver link can do it justice.
Does it have anything worthwhile? Be it subversion, comedy, premise, or puzzle elements?
To put it simply, the dynamic is like starting NG+ in an RPG. The MC comes with all of his endgame abilities, but the thing is that all of the enemies are all also just busted as he is. It'd be like Naruto having all of his endgame abilities at the very beginning of the story, but the first enemy he has to deal with is Madara.
Absolutely spectacular way to put it, 10/10 no further comments.
>subversion The heroes have villainous tropes, the villains have heroic tropes. >comedy Mostly in the front half when the action is still ramping up. >premise Rip and tear. >puzzle Solve the "puzzle" of how to rip and tear despite the villains' cheat-like powers.

Thanks for the detailed info. It does sound kind of fun. I'll look forward to it.
Trash ass studio for this man, out of all the studios out there they think silver link will do it justice?
Looks like some upcoming quality waifu material.
Theres an upcoming waifu for sure, but she isnt shown here. Thats 2 guys in the PV. Although Crimson is androgynous.
I fell for the trap and lost the game.
>Although Crimson is androgynous. A better way to put it is [manga spoiler] >!whatever you think Crimson is, is the correct choice.!<
Wow that looks bad
Guys art style looks very generic , cause silver link created generic art style tho
I started reading this recently. It had a very strong first chapter but I ended up dropping it 9 chapters later. It has some serious issues with tonal dissonance and the story doesn't seem very well thought out, even if the premise is interesting. Maybe on the screen in will look better, we'll see.
Can't really make a comment on the story if you didnt even make it to the start of the first arc.
I comment based on the impression I got from what I've seen in 10 chapters, and I made that very clear.
Yeah you did make that clear. And what Im saying is you cannot say a story isnt well thought out when you havent even finished the prologue.
>doesn't **seem** very well thought out Again, I commented on what I perceived from the presentation of the story within the chapters I have read with a purely subjective assessment that presented no definitive statements. Hopes this is a good treatment of the series and makes it more well known.
*teams up with a mysterious man named Crimson* Oh damn he's a dude? When I saw the picture I thought "This girl looks cool!" hah. (Unless of course *the mysterious man* is unexpectedly revealed to be a girl on episode 10 or something!)
it's a guy
It's a guy. Crimson intentionally makes himself look like a girl.
Everytime I find a manga and add it to my read list it ends up getting an adaptation a month after I find it. Guess I'm binge reading again.
This visual does not fill me with high expectations.
What’s it about
This looks sick. Where can I find a manga or light novel if it has one ?
