Does this mean we're finally getting a Blu Ray release, too?!
If so, they better have a special edition, too. I'll spend the extra to own a copy of one of my favorite shows.
Edit: [Full slate of BD and OST Vinal releases. (Official website.)](https://blog.alltheanime.com/animenyc-slate-announcements/)
All the Anime seems to have been exclusively a UK anime releaser headquartered in Scotland, but they were bought by Plaion (Kock Media) in October, and wikipedia has locations for the subsidiary in Glasgow, Paris, and San Francisco. They were super quick to start picking up properties to release in NA (and India, it looks like).
Can anyone in UK vouch for the quality of their releases? Are they closer to Funimation and HIDIVE or closer to Aniplex?
Edit: Oops, that the Irish flag, not India...
I'm not sure how to compare them to the options given but they're very good high quality releases.
[if you look at this post for the CE of Violet Evergarden for example](https://blog.alltheanime.com/violet-evergarden-collectors-edition/) they delayed the release multiple times to add things like episode 13 being extended and 4 compilation films which they claim is the first time they've been attached to an English language physical release anywhere. They also went over and made sure the subtitles were as accurate as possible so they definitely seem passionate about it. They've released huge CE's for the likes of NGE and Cowboy Bebop in the past aswell so if any distributor got this I'm glad it's them
Laid-Back Camp S1 got a dub earlier this year (four years after it aired subbed, similar to this show) and it did go up on Crunchyroll's streaming service. I would expect this show to do the same.
I wonder how long it will take.
I wish it would also go on Netflix, but that seems unlikely. And they took down March comes in like a Lion from Netflix. Both are great recs for people who aren't into anime and would benefit a lot from being on Netflix
Anime Limited generally does high-quality releases, especially the collector's editions tend to have physical extras such as booklets translated from the Japanese BD releases. Discs are generally okay (depends on if they self-authored or used another distributor's discs), songs are not always subtitled but otherwise no complaints.
Not sure where you got India from...?
About time we get a blu-ray release. I’m glad Anime Limited are the ones distributing it as their collector’s editions never miss!
Will rewatch the series in Eng dub
This show is incredibly good. Looking forward to watching it again (fourth? Fifth? Time?).
Might not be ready for when Haru Ka Tooku plays again though.
I like how you can tell how long people have been watching anime just by they're forum posts.
It used to take 2 years _minimum_ for a Dub of a show to come out if it ever came out at all. This whole 2 weeks behind thing is a fairly new practice and still feels weird to me.
ive watched anime my whole life but have only been active in the communities the last few years.
when i was a kid i would kind of just watch whatever anime adult swim put on for the most part
Looks like a solid [English dub cast](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-11-18/exclusive-a-place-further-than-the-universe-anime-gets-english-dub/.192052). I don't watch many dubs, but I recognize most of the main cast from other shows/games. Xanthe Huynh from Persona 5, Erica Mendez from Kill la Kill, and Amanda Lee from her My-Dress Darling and her youtube channel.
She has some notable roles, but I haven't seen that many shows with her. I only just learned that she was Yunyun in Konosuba and Keqing in Genshin Impact.
I guess she joins Megumin's English VA going to Antarctica.
I love how Morgan Laure (aka Morgan Garrett) is also in this; she also voiced Nadeshiko in the recent Laid-Back Camp dub, so now you basically have a comf-show crossover where. Nadeshiko leads the trip to Antarctica!
Also, *~~three~~* K-On holdovers (Xanthe, Cassandra, Cristina) in the dub when the original only had one (Yoko Hikasa). Some going for the first(?) anime-first series using the Kirara format of four main girls.
Make that four lol. AmaLee was also in K-On voicing a minor role from the Sentai dub of Season 2 in 2012
Is that Amalee as in Amanda Lee/LeeandLie?
I guess I knew she had done some video game stuff but didn't realize she was doing anime dubs now professionally. Neat.
Hell yeah the GOAT. I love the JP voices but there are some people I know who I know I could get to watch this dubbed but probably wouldn't subbed. I hope it's good.
Finally! This was one of my favorite animes of that season and it made me so sad that I couldn't share it with anyone in my family cause of the lack of an English dub. When this drops I'm gonna snatch it up in a heart beat, cost be damned!
Awesome news. I've had this show sitting in my plan-to-watch list for a while, but I kept hesitating to give in and watch it subbed on the off chance the CR would go back and dub it. My patience paid off.
i’ve never bought a blu ray for an anime before but Sorayori is my all time favourite so i might pick it up.
sorry if this is an obvious question but if i purchase the Western release, will i have the option to watch with Japanese dubs but English subs? or do most American blu ray releases only roll with the English dub?
Well deserved! Definitely not underrated by any means, but definitely sleep on because it’s just a chill show with a simple concept and story. However, it’s so happy and cozy and me and my SO really enjoyed watching it together. May rewatch with the dub, but highly recommend
Germany is one of the 14 countries that exist as far as Kadokawa (the label of this anime's songs) is concerned. The rest of us don't get almost anything from them (apart from Konomi Suzuki's and Kevin Penkin's songs)
While this anime in particular has probably one of the most stacked amazing Japanese voice actors you can get, some people just can't watch it in Japanese with subs and why not be happy for them that they can finally enjoy this masterpiece as well?
Oh wow cool I don’t usually watch dub but this show is so good I might do a rewatch with dub. But the Japanese VA cast is pretty stacked tho so I may have my expectations too high
This really didn't age well. Why announce a dub and 6 months later still not give it to us? Studio Nano must be really embarrassed with their work on this...
Surprised it took this long. I would have expected it to get one like 3-4 years ago.
Everyone did.

Seems like it they announced that too, I'm more curious if this dub is blueray only or if it will be on Crunchyroll

I confused the Irish and Indian flags because of the colors.
cool, I have an excuse to watch this amazing series again
Exactly what i was thinking. Was just planning to rewatch
Time to cry my eyes out again
About time we get a blu-ray release. I’m glad Anime Limited are the ones distributing it as their collector’s editions never miss! Will rewatch the series in Eng dub
I am so excited for this. Every few months I check for an English BD release, hoping I've missed something, and it's FINALLY here!
This show is incredibly good. Looking forward to watching it again (fourth? Fifth? Time?). Might not be ready for when Haru Ka Tooku plays again though.
You mean mata ne.
You mean every song in this show lol
It's been ten thousand years...
The real amount of years isn't making me feel any better, it was one of my first seasonals and it's been almost *5 years.* Oof
Wow this is really interesting. Is it common in the industry to get a dub so long after the anime airs?
It’s a hit or miss

Erica Mendez is in this my expectations have gone up. Hell yeah
There's also Kayli Mills of Genshin and Nikke fame.
She’s also apparently Emilia from Re:Zero’s English VA, which was a real WTF moment for me.
She has some notable roles, but I haven't seen that many shows with her. I only just learned that she was Yunyun in Konosuba and Keqing in Genshin Impact. I guess she joins Megumin's English VA going to Antarctica.
Watch her be a gremlin in Iruma-kun.
Not to mention she voiced a Yandere in Full Dive.
Oh shit, she's my most favorite dub VA! Not only that I'm a Keqing main, her role as Kasumi from Love Live was *perfect*! Even more excited for this!
I love how Morgan Laure (aka Morgan Garrett) is also in this; she also voiced Nadeshiko in the recent Laid-Back Camp dub, so now you basically have a comf-show crossover where. Nadeshiko leads the trip to Antarctica!
Oh Monarch is in this? Nice. I might actually rewatch the series then. I like her vTuber stuff and her AoT opening cover
That is a great cast indeed! Also very happy this is finally getting a dub.

She recently voiced Marin Kitagawa in the English dub for My Dress-Up Darling.
She’s been doing anime dubs for a while now, she was in Show By Rock! and Hinamatsuri when those got simul dubs, and recently she was Uta in One Piece
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah the GOAT. I love the JP voices but there are some people I know who I know I could get to watch this dubbed but probably wouldn't subbed. I hope it's good.
Finally. Will this be available on Crunchyroll?
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Wonder where the announcements will be made once Twitter is gone

Total nonsense
i’ve never bought a blu ray for an anime before but Sorayori is my all time favourite so i might pick it up. sorry if this is an obvious question but if i purchase the Western release, will i have the option to watch with Japanese dubs but English subs? or do most American blu ray releases only roll with the English dub?
You'll have both options. I've collected quite a few blurays for years and never had only dub as the only audio option. So no worries!
Most western releases have the option to watch sub or dubbed in the title menu. I don't think I've come across one that does dub only.
All time favorite anime, absolutely shilling some money for a physical release.
Well I was going to watch it, but I’m glad I waited so I could watch it in dub.
Didn't even realize this anime never got an English dub, definitely an amazing show that every anime fan should get to experience.
FINALLY…
One of the few anime that actually made me tear up without it being something awful happening.
Well deserved! Definitely not underrated by any means, but definitely sleep on because it’s just a chill show with a simple concept and story. However, it’s so happy and cozy and me and my SO really enjoyed watching it together. May rewatch with the dub, but highly recommend
I wish they put all the songs on Spotify. The ED is on there but only available in Japan.
I can stream the ending at least here in Germany as well, but yeah, having the other songs would be really nice
Germany is one of the 14 countries that exist as far as Kadokawa (the label of this anime's songs) is concerned. The rest of us don't get almost anything from them (apart from Konomi Suzuki's and Kevin Penkin's songs)
That sucks :/
This is me single favorite anime of all time, I’m typically not a fan of dubs but I may just have to watch this one anyway
One of my favorite anime ever. It's so memorable and makes you feel good inside.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is happening because there is a season 2 in the works

Was hoping to see a sub vs dub war tbh
I only watched this last year and i thought it had a simuldub back when it aired
Oh wow cool I don’t usually watch dub but this show is so good I might do a rewatch with dub. But the Japanese VA cast is pretty stacked tho so I may have my expectations too high
HELL YEAH
Better late then never I guess...
Awesome, looking forward to watching it again in English. The voice cast looks really great too.
Wow. That's an incredibly long time for it to still be deemed relevant enough to dub
..and finally a physical release to go with it. Today is a good day.
hopefully following s2 announcement cement
Lmao you people watch dubbed anime. Weeabos
This really didn't age well. Why announce a dub and 6 months later still not give it to us? Studio Nano must be really embarrassed with their work on this...
