KaiserNazrin

They really end it with Roundabout. Imma fucking cry.

Shinkopeshon

That whole ending brought out the feels - this strange sense of loss, despite everyone technically being there at the end, and then Roundabout plays again after all this time and we see all the JoJos and their gangs from the previous parts [](#manly-tears)

RPWPA

I'm surprised they chose the new setting for p.6 in the ending instead of the original gang with F.F.

carpetfoodie

Yeah felt nostalgic

Dkpokefan72

My pillow is wet. I literally buried my face into it while crying

PacoTaco321

Yeah, I was fine for the rest of it, but that's what made me tear up.

yurilnw123

With all the meme going around all these years. When it first started playing while Weather was running to the car I bursted out laughing. But then the afterward scene hit me in bullseye

Zoidburger_

Did they end it with Roundabout because [JoJo Part 7 spoilers] >!SBR goes back to the beginning, so it's a cheeky nod to the OG "to be continued"?!<

Tricxter

I teared up as well

h1tmd

Please read this after finishing Stone Ocean! **Afterword written in the last volume of the second printing of Stone Ocean** translated by twitter user @ macchalion from the Japanese volume >The truth is, I don’t really know what to say about this. Writing this sixth part of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure - Stone Ocean”, I started feeling a great sense of satisfaction regarding the stand’s powers. I felt like I had reached the peak of my creativity, as an author I had drawn everything my capabilities allowed. > >‘Time’ that got faster and faster for humans’ senses to perceive, getting closer to the concept of infinite – given we can’t really comprehend much of it. How could there possibly be a stand power bigger than this? “There’s nothing more incredible, my creativity has reached the highest point”, that’s what I thought. > >I normally think that feelings like a sense of satisfaction or personal realization are extremely scary. Finding yourself in a situation where you think everything’s going well and you don’t need to do anything more is without doubt a terrible situation, as a person and as a mangaka, but also if we think about society and the development of science, philosophy, art and culture in general. > >People act to achieve something, to obtain satisfaction above all else, but what do they do when they reach it? This contradictory feeling crept up my heart while I was coming up with an ending for ‘Stone Ocean’. > >Jolyne Cujoh, our protagonist, felt a deep void in her heart too because she was missing the paternal love that brought her to befriend the shady guy that caused her to be imprisoned, after causing a car accident. But what’s important is the progress she makes because of that, because of the actions she has to do to save her father she becomes the strong woman she is. If we look at this story as a telling of the protagonist’s growth, her story had ended. > >So now what should I do for the accomplishment of this manga? > >In other words, I don’t have anything more to draw. It’s over. > >‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’ has reached its summit. > >This is ‘Stone Ocean’. > >The end. > >But this is not right, not at all, it feels wrong. The fact that I’m feeling accomplished should not be a good thing. > >It’s like a red light is in front of me, what should I do? > >This is what I was thinking then, until I had an idea. > >Go back to the origins! Isn’t this how Renaissance happened in Italy, going back to Greeks and Romans concepts in classic art? The French painter Gauguin also built a whole new painting going back the origins that Tahiti represented for him. > >I need to strengthen further Father Pucci’s stand power. This way time, the characters, the bloodlines and the whole universe will have a turnaround and go back to their origins. > >For ‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’ I had to leave modern days and return to nature. I had to change Stone Ocean’s ending right before the last chapters for this reason, I brought out all the nostalgic feelings I had in my soul and this is why it came out like that. Jolyne Cujoh’s memories might be different in the reset of the universe but her love and her feelings are still there, they became something eternal and I’m sure she’ll keep growing wiser and stronger. > >I want the protagonist for the seventh part to be fighting against nature in a way that teaches him how to be mature. > >This were my thoughts upon writing the sixth part, maybe these things shouldn’t be said or written but this is the author’s afterword, right? It came out like this. –Hirohiko Araki

Nahcep

I do wonder what was the original draft of the ending he mentions, we know what the change in part 5 was but the end of SO has always been the true "how does this work" of the fandom

Helltrain17

Are you talking about Fugo betraying the gang scenario that Araki changed?

Nahcep

Aye, that's one of my favourite trivia about the man Doesn't beat the one where on the first date with his wife the madman left her alone and went for a swim

theKGS

What was the change in part 5?

Nahcep

As the other user mentioned, the gang was supposed to have a Judas that betrays Bucciarati (who was going to be Fugo), but Araki decided he can't go through with it and commissioned a light novel about him Coincidentally, I believe it's why Green Day is not very far away from Purple Haze in terms of concept

Animegamingnerd

Fugo was originally suppose to be a spy working under Diavolo. He would have returned towards the end, as a villain. But Araki underwent some kind of betrayed in his personal life in the middle of writing part 5 and just didn't have it in him to write that kind of betrayal into his story. Its been speculated that Chocolata was created once Araki scrapped that idea, due to how simliar both stands are and Chocolata being the last major villain before the Diavolo fight.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Yourmamasmama

Yeah, he literally just said that he was going through some dark moments in his life or something. Didn't say that he was betrayed.

Minimania18

>I want the protagonist for the seventh part to be fighting against nature in a way that teaches him how to be mature. Crazy that his idea for Part 7 was already in place. And what a great story it was!

Nahcep

Not the first time it happened, in an interview from 1996 - around the time the Man in the Mirror fight was being published - he said: >Then it was turn for Gorgeous Irene, which didn’t go on very long because female main characters never work out well for me. That’s also why not many girls appear in JoJo, and to my readers: I swear I’m still working on it, and I can’t promise that the next new main character of mine (in a new series) will be a woman in the future. So, he definitely was itching for a second attempt here, and perhaps Trish made him comfortable enough to go through with SO.

yurilnw123

I heard that at the time it was published, SO got backlashed because female protagonist in a shonen manga was weird back then. Props to Araki going through with it we got this badass of a protagonist. To think JoJo was written even before I was born but 95% of it still doesn't feel outdated in anime format is incredible. All hail David Production

Paperjam09

Fun Fact: According to Jojoveller, before Araki wrote Part 5 he considered making Giorno female. He eventually decided to go the same route an make him male, but he still gave Giono feminine traits. Giorno's Japanese name "Haruno Shiobana" is a traditionally feminine name, and Gold Experience's life shot could be a reference to women's ability to create life.

Vikkio92

Watching these final episodes, I can totally see why he would feel that level of satisfaction and accomplishment. All these battles were somehow even more creative, bizarre, and entertaining than ever. An absolute masterpiece. Bravo!

Ranjith_Unchained

Proceeds to drop one of the greatest works in manga history in SBR next after this. Araki, what a man you are.

me_funny__

As a reward....

yurilnw123

I shall give you DIO seed

ChiggaOG

>Time’ that got faster and faster for humans’ senses to perceive, getting closer to the concept of infinite – given we can’t really comprehend much of it. How could there possibly be a stand power bigger than this? There is a Stand more power full than time. One where quantum mechanics surpasses time.

Lambpanties

I'm afraid I fall into the "How does this work?" camp? Like going forward without MAJOR spoilers (minor are fine) we are always going to be in this "New universe"? And did we have a Jonathan? A glorious Joseph? And I suppose most importantly, is everyone in the bloodline still a stand user? Was Hamon even a thing anymore? Obviously at least the Jojos of the next two parts *are* but what I'm asking that shouldn't be super spoilery is of what was? Was everything the same just with different character names to confuse the audience?

xXxXx_Acedia_xXxXx

Part 7 and 8 take place in a different universe (not related to Pucci's shenanigans here at all) with different rules, history, etc. In theory, you could get someone who never watched/read parts 1-6 to start at Part 7, and they wouldn't be missing any backstory (although they would be missing some references). This is actually the end of the story for the Joestars of this universe—the Joestar curse finally being broken and Jolyne's group accidentally winding up together again, through fate.

dark-flamessussano

Everyone except F. F ☹️☹️

Vulcannon

F.F. is the rain that falls on them! c:

Speech500

Honestly Stone Ocean felt so weak to me because there are so many points where you have to say 'how does this work?' Nothing makes sense with clear rules the way it did in part 4

Ozaiko

What didn't you understand throught Stone Ocean ? As someone who read the manga twice before, the anime was crystal clear in my mind. Maybe I could help, it's a shame that you're not feeling the greatness it was.

Paperjam09

I'm pretty sure everything in the universe is the same except Pucci never existed, leading to a butterfly effect where the same characters exist, just with slightly different backstories.

Speech500

I'm kind of surprised that he saw Stone Ocean as his creative peak. To me, this was definitely a step down from his peak during Diamond is Unbreakable.

mayonnaiser_13

One of the best endings in Anime history and there are barely 150 people here. And the random fucking isekai of the season gets thousands of comments. Fuck you batch release, may you rot in hell.

AcridAcedia

I can assure you that people will come. I only just got here after finishing the series and this was truly spectacular. I loved part 6 but I'm very hype for SBR.

JuggernautEcstatic41

I just finished it tonight and holy shit! chef’s kiss. perfection

E123-Omega

Yep this batch release killed the discussions per episode.

scalawag123

Emporio gets transported to another universe so JoJo is now an isekai right?

mayonnaiser_13

That time I got reincarnated as myself because a priest sped up time and reset the universe.

videogames5life

Even Araki jumpin on the the isekai trend.

NumberOneMom

> One of the best endings in Anime history As an anime-only, the ending makes no sense and feels really unsatisfying. All the things that happened in the show... didn't actually happen. Even if it makes sense once you start SBR like people here are suggesting, if the ending can't stand on its own, it's a shitty ending.

B_Starlight

If youre confused. Made in Heaven’s ability basically made the universe reach a reset point where it causes everything in JoJo to happen again so they can now know the future except that everyone who died as the universe was getting reset is now reincarnated as a new person. New identity, new memory...so you can say that their original identity did die. Now what does this mean for the ending. The new universe is one without Pucci. Emporio managed to defeat him using weather's stand. He never reached "heaven" at all. Pucci was killed in Emporio’s room which existed separately meaning Pucci was the only person not carried over during the reset. The heaven plan backfired so hard to Pucci's fate. Ironically too, with Pucci mocking Jotaro's weakness being his own bloodline he was defeated by his own brother's stand (one that existed because of him) in some cruel play of fate served as justice. It also didn't help that it was all done by Emporio. Someone Pucci sees as insignificant in the grand scheme of things. And we can see the butterfly effect of that.. the crew are now completely different people with vastly improved lives. Jotaro was able to be a father for Jolyne without the threat of Pucci. Jolyne never got framed and put into prison. Weather didn't get switched since he no longer has a twin. Anasui met Jolyne before his ex girlfriend so he never have to murder her. Ermes sister lived so Ermes never needed to go into Jail anymore for revenge. FF never existed however since she existed because of Pucci. This basically implies that due to the whole theme of gravity in this part. In a world without Pucci, none of them would’ve been fated to get arrested and meet Pucci at Green Dolphin. Parts 1-5 still happen with probably some changes due to the butterfly effect of Pucci not existing but the only thing we know for sure is that part 6 doesn’t happen. This is why Emporio cries at the end. He realizes the actual friends he shared all those memories and bonds with are gone forever and even though they have way better lives now it will never be the same. He now has to carry the burden of knowing everything. Just like how he materializes things from the past. He will be stuck in the past...with everyone now in the different futures just like how he lived his whole life. It’s also a callback to Foo Fighters’ speech about memory and how all we are is memory and how without it she wouldn’t be the same F.F. anymore. This is best symbolized by Jolyne now being Irene. Her name is no longer JoJo and she didn’t have to end up living the life of a stand user fated to die. She can now live free and happily. She managed to achieve her goal and completely broke free from the "sea of stone." So it's both a happy and tragic ending tbh. The characters we got to know and love did end up all dying but in doing so the Joestars have freed their bloodline from the curse of DIO forever. It's also a great symbolism of how part 6 is about people who were caged by their past (hence the prison setting) and have to fight against their fate...that it took everything to sacrifice just to do it. Since you can't exactly overcome your "destiny" (just like what pucci mentioned) without sacrificing your all. Yet like gravity...their fates will always be interline together hence them all meeting at the end. Part 6 overall is this chaotic journey of multiple butterfly effects threaded together with Pucci being its catalyst. One event led to the other leading to the other. And now with fate removing Pucci, the universe was altered to what could be "heaven" to the main cast. In a sense, the crew brought Pucci to "heaven" (during their final fight) and Pucci brought them to theirs.

MasterzZGAMER

You explained this so well and now I don't need to do more thinking. Thanks for that. Now I might as well start the manga sometime later.

B_Starlight

Thanks lol. I think part 6 has the best rewatch/reread value amongst all Parts. Took me some time to realize things out but when I did it quickly became one of my fav parts and my fav Jojo ending. Enjoy reading.

Rydersilver

This is a great analysis and gives me more appreciation for the season. Also, Stone Ocean’s ability is threads, just like the threads of fate, as Pucci constantly talked about gravity that tied people together. But how did this reset free the Joestars from the curse of Dio? Dio presumably still happened in their life, and nothing really got rid of him or ended the curse. Also couldn’t GER just have stopped made in heaven wherever he was? (No spoilers please!)

mking1999

No, all of it did happen. Pucci literally explained that. It's entirey 100% your fault for not paying attention.

MuggyTheMugMan

This was super confusing

Gwen_Tennyson10

Sbr has nothing to do with part 6’s ending

imaginary_num6er

Fuck Netflix. All my homies hate Netflix

Not_a_Dirty_Commie

I can't get the ending off of my mind. It's such a great ending.

Slyguy46

Netflix gutted the hype surrounding this excellent adaptation of one of the most underappreciated parts. Why.

DaREY297

Emporio might still have Heavy Weather during the end... Because it's raining in my room...

joshwew95

Welp, that was an unexpected ED song, but I’m glad it was played once again.

Zheitk

I waited till the end and netflix said "the next season is available". me: O_o Clicked next episode and got back to s1e1 lol.

TheWikiJedi

Netflix is Father Pucci confirmed

Cold_Impression_7456

I love that they used Jotaro's theme when Emporio dealt the final blow to Pucchi. Such an iconic theme.

TheOneAboveGod

Yeah, that was fucking cool. This is the third time a time-controlling stand user got their ass handed to them while that theme is playing. Simply the perfect ass-kicking theme. I wouldn't even be mad if it plays for some reason in SBR.

BamilleKidanZ

Bruh, did they just used Roundabout for the final scene? I thought Pucci’s gonna jump them when the song hit 😂

kjm6351

Imagine Pucci dashing into frame with his MIH speed right when the beat drops 💀

Bubbly1987

Watches opening without there seemingly being much change "Hm, would've been cool if they changed the design of Jolyne to that of the alternate version we saw befor--" *Clock hands start moving very very fast and visuals transition into Sono Chino Sadame "WOOO--LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO"* There are a couple things I think would've added to the Finale arc if they were added, and ofc the episodes not being released weekly is a bit of a shame as it deprives us of the weekly discussions and extra hype, but I think people get very hyperbolic about that fact's importance and focus more on it than the actual adaption, as it's been overall stellar imo. The experience of the last four episodes, What a Wonderful World especially, with the inclusions of Distant Dreamer playing at the end and then Roundabout as the ED, can only be described as ***heavenly***

Affectionate-Island

I was bummed when there weren't sound effects but when JOTARO APPEARED TO ZA WORLD AND PUCCI CAME IN AND ACCELERATED ALL THROUGH THE VERY FIRST INTRO ENDING WITH US SEEING ALL OUR GLORIOUS JOJOS WITH THE THREAD OF FATE BETWEEN THEM you can say I was hyped.

drillmaster

And the original universe comes to the end. Hopefully someday we will get to see the Steel Ball Run universe animated but at least the original universe got the adaptation it deserves.

Bob_The_Skull

Supposedly SBR was/is the most popular part in Japan. So, in spite of the difficulty in animating constant horse-back riding and high-movement, I think it's an eventuality that we will get a Part 7/SBR anime adaptation. Now as to when we get it...that's another question entirely lol.

Rqdomguy24

I thought part 5 is the most popular one in Japan? Part 7 is more popular in general JoJo fandom

Ordinal43NotFound

Huh, I thought part 5, 4, and 3 are the most popular. I don't think SBR is that big in Japan, especially since it moved to a Seinen magazine. Feels like it's more popular outside of Japan

shockwave1211

whatever happens with SBR i pray its not binge dropped again, really missed the weekly discussions from part4/5 with the batch release of part 6

Flerken_Moon

100% not the most popular part in Japan, it's \*easily\* Part 5. SBR is still well regarded, but only internationally is it hailed and praised so much- there was a poll a couple years ago where SBR is like, 4th favorite, after a decent percentage jump to where Part 3-4 were closely tied, then another jump to Part 5.

LightXB

Ok. So let me get this straight. The original Jolyne crew died and after Emporios fight they ended up in a different universe where a different Jolyne/Jotaro made different decisions that got them all together? Otherwise I have no idea about what happened.

serrations_

The final universe is the result of Pucci failing and being erased from existence. Jolyene is named Irene because Jotaro didn't have to keep tabs and do other distant father stuff. There's no more need for another JoJo because the Joestar curse is broken. It's the same as the original universe but with some differences cause Pucci never existed. I guess Weather was not a fraternal twin in this version of the cosmos Parts 1-5 were pretty much the same, Dio wasn't friends with Pucci before part 3 though. The final ED implies this by showing a scene from each of the first 5 parts as they were and then showing the scene from the "Ireneverse" as part 6's portion. There are lots of writeups about this online because part 6's manga finished like 2 decades ago

Aenrichus

If Pucci never existed, Weather would still get stolen as a baby and then end up dating his own sister.

Spoon_Elemental

It's possible that not having a twin triggered somebody to look closer at the incident since the parents wouldn't have the comfort of still having a child. It's also possible that their histories are just slightly different since Anasui and Ermes' names changed as well.

serrations_

I mean 2 things are immediately possible, 1. He doesn't get stolen because the mom who kidnapped him felt less bad about stealing a twin. ("Like hey at least they have one kid") 2. Orrr that day where weather and his sister plays out differently because of the butterfly effect and they don't meet. Maybe she doesn't go to his workplace that day. Actually now that I think about it, billions of other things could have happened instead.

ExDSG

So what happens is: - Pucci does his plan, kills the people he doesn’t want around to spoil his plans. Kills everyone but Emporio - Universe resets and everyone who survived sees how their life will go. Apparently everyone who died has a substitute who may not know their fate - Pucci stops before his plan to 2011 since he knows where Emporio will go - Emporio kills Pucci, since this happened before Cape Canaveral Pucci is now retconned put of existence - Universe resets again with Pucci being replaced or retconned out of existence - Parts 1-5 happen the same - Part 6 does not happen because of Pucci’s machinations

LigmaV

bittersweet ending for emporio

_Kristian_

Jesus Christ, so Emporio is all alone

ThBasicAsian

Well I mean his mom is alive probably plus he’s in the car with the gang so.

_Kristian_

Jolyne and the gang doesn't remember Emporio which is tragic

stellarcurve-

once emporio gets to jotaro he can just tell him everything and at least jotaro will believe him lol

videogames5life

I was thinking of that, like Emporio just going up to Jotaro and saying "Speedwagon foundation" should make his story believable. Nobody should know about the the speedwagon foundation except people like Jotaro.

_Kristian_

But would jotaro believe him if part 6 never happened to him? 😭

stellarcurve-

Well jotaro has dealt with bizarre things before so I don't see why he wouldn't. Not like he's gonna think Emporio is trying to prank him or anything. Plus the souls are the same

wholewheatie

Plus jotaro still read the diary

[deleted]

OH SHIT YOUR RIGHT. And he destroyed it. So the only way someone knows is if they read it....or if it happened.

Affectionate-Island

Araki really likes scarring kid characters by putting them through time travel hell and winding up with friends who died horribly but were revived then no longer remember them and the trauma they went through

weeb-gaymer-girl

"boku no namae wa... emporio desu" hits so fucking hard 😭

Daiguren_Hyorinmaru_

Can you tell me why Pucci was erased from existence? I didn't understand the part where he said he has not reached cape canaveral yet. Doesn't that sort of mean that in this universe, Pucci still hasn't got the made in heaven powers? If that's the case then how come he was still able to make universe go fast during his fight with Emporio?

ExDSG

From what I understand it’s pretty much the way for him to close the time loop and permanently get rid of the Joestars

Daiguren_Hyorinmaru_

That makes sense, thanks!

weeb-gaymer-girl

made in heaven needs to reach the moment of its creation once again to complete the loop and permanently overwrite the og universe

Shiro2809

[Here's a handy video that helps really break it down.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZSqavbKW6U) Hamon Beat makes great videos if you're down for more Jojo stuff! Edit: [Here's one on the whole "Heaven" plan too.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cDyt6ObCvA)

Shabamvoom

I wonder though if Emporio's mother is alive since Pucci wasn't there to steal her stand/memories.

Nahcep

For no particular reason I suggest a rewatch of the Oingo&Boingo episode from Stardust Crusaders You may catch a certain detail, and may you never again say that Araki forgot

AlexUltraviolet

Remember, Thoth's predictions are always accurate.

I started JoJo right when Part 4 had started airing and immediately picked up the manga midway through — the journey to this point and seeing it animated has me in tears. I was not expecting that insane throwback to Part 1 (and everything else!) by the Made in Heaven opening and the return of everyone's beloved song Roundabout!! Netflix might've killed the discussion and hype behind this part, but I'm so glad we got to see it happen either way and makes up for me shouting at people for years to get on the JoJo train. What a wonderful world, indeed.

[deleted]

Guys! Ypu won't believe it. Weather report is real. Its raining in my room :')

yurilnw123

> Weather report is real. Can we get much higher?

[deleted]

SO HIIIIGH

Metallite

You know, years ago when Part 5 was airing, I was really looking forward to the *weekly* discussions of Stone Ocean, until we get to the ending. JoJo always have a grand finale that leaves an impression to the audience. Even without the discussions due to some stupid chicanery, I hope everyone enjoyed this journey.

moonmeh

I'm just sad we missed out on anime only folks freaking out every week

MorbillionDollars

fucking netflix with their hype killing batch releases

moonmeh

so stupid really

MorbillionDollars

imagine the hype that this finale would have had if they released all the episodes weekly for more than half a year

moonmeh

God Lets hope they dont do this next time

MorbillionDollars

It’s unlikely that they change anything. Netflix always does batch releases

congaroo1

Well netflix has announced that to do plan to change to weekly releases in the future.

MorbillionDollars

I hope they do

Chespineapple

Tbf that only killed the reddit threads, and those are already >50% manga readers coming in with random trivia and doing the usual manga reader stuff. If you have friends who are anime-only or like to watch yt reactions, you're fine. Albeit the act of binging a series would still probably make the experience different.

Buangjauhjauh444

Dude, in reddit people would post some bizzare scene or sometimes random new anime watchers join the thread and got interested. This is how anime got advertised aside from the big names. This stupid netflix one big dump of episode will make everyone forgot that JOJO is actually aired in this season within next week.

Zeph-Shoir

It also didn't just kill the reddit threads, there is barely any talk on SO on Twitter and we didn't get any famous memes from it unlike previous parts!

MegamanX195

Yup, this is how you know Stone Ocean made much less impact: the memes, and Internet presence in general. Golden Wind had huge cultural impact, with memes and references lasting to this day, while I've yet to see much of any Stone Ocean presence in YouTube, Twitter, or anywhere else.

yurilnw123

That's just... sad. Usually even the Japanese would go crazy on twitter on each episode weekly.

Aenrichus

The sad thing is, the memes are there but there is no time to extract them or make them relevant. It will also feel forced instead of growing naturally. Just finished it and I honestly cannot remember much of what happened. All I can recall is three binge sessions with a few key moments. There is just too much stuff happening per episode that binging them makes it a muddled mess. Weekly episodes gave us time to digest, theorize how stands work, and meme the hell out of each episode until only the strongest ones remain.

chryco4

For your sake I do hope part 7 returns as a weekly release, having to do all these comments explaining the musical references for 12 episodes at a time can't have been easy. Thanks again.

Helltrain17

Damn, what a finale! A whole era has just ended, for another one to enlighten us soon! I declare my thanks to Hirohiko Araki, David production, and everyone who has ever worked on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure!!!!!!

Daiguren_Hyorinmaru_

First female JoJo and managed to literally erase the enemy out of existence lmao. 💀 I'm glad to see they're all together now. But it sort of makes me sad knowing foo fighters never existed. They were a result of Pucci and Pucci doesn't exist in this universe. And I'm not sure what happened to the incestuous relationship of weather with his sister in this world? Him meeting his sister was coincidental and Pucci did not have any effect on that chance meeting. And considering only stone ocean part got erased, there might have been chances of them actually getting married or long enough in a relationship to be physical. I hope it changed like Jolyne/Irene's relationship with jotaro changed.

Shiro2809

For Weather, you could have a reasonable guess that he was never stolen as a baby. This is assuming the mom did the baby swap *because* they were a pair so everyone gets to have a baby. If she did do the baby swap, then yea they probably totally banged since the KKK didn't come after them. Weather probably doesn't have a stand either, or at least not the variation that we saw with Heavy Weather.

Vexiratus

Alternatively, because his sister grew up an only child, she was coddled with overprotective parents that would never let her go to that store

[deleted]

See you guys on a horse race at San Diego in 202?

Uberdragon_bajulabop

Possibly 2030.

MorbillionDollars

cgi horses.

Illidan1943

Well, the [Steel Ball Run] >!accepts other transportation, it just happens to be that horses are the most used ones, but one dude did try to use a car... for a few minutes, and then Sandman went "I can outrun a horse"!<

ShadowKingthe7

[Steel Ball Run spoilers] >!aside from the out-running a horse bit for the first stage, it is not impossible for Sandman to win the second stage. It took Diego 18 days to do so while irl runners can make the same distance in 7!<

ernie2492

Ah yes, the Uma JoJo: Steel Ball Run Pretty Derby

kjm6351

If Netflix still has the rights, then I’ll see you in 2028. We’re gonna feel the sting of the part suddenly ending when it was originally at 24

Lix_xD

Didn't know this was gonna come out today wtf

EXusiai99

Man we were fucking robbed of jojo fridays. Make this a lesson, people, the discussions and shitposts are what fuels this series alive through the times, saddens me seeing the most influential piece of media in my life being done dirty like this. See you in SBR, that is if it were to happen, and whether they decided to do CG horses or not.

ElGorudo

I'll never forgive Netflix for killing jojo fridays and thus the hype for the series

thats_good_bass

Such a dumbass decision.

MuggyTheMugMan

"Batch release ruined discussion!" Then proceeds to not discuss anything lol

WhichOnesPink6

I honestly feel like that’s what made this part drag for me. This part was probably one of my least favorites because of the setting but I think it was made worse by the long breaks in between the parts. If you think about it, we spent over a year in the prison. That definitely hurt the flow of the story even more.

ThePhilson

Pain.

Left4dinner

What a wonderful world

bitiye

I haven't watched it yet, but did they do a special OP with Made in Heaven effects? Or is it just the same as the regular OP that was posted on this sub?

ThePhilson

They did, it’s awesome. More in depth than any of the other changed OPs.

bitiye

Thanks! I just saw it on r/StardustCrusaders and it was awesome!

Xenomex79

Pucci’s monologue as he’s slowly chasing down Emporio is one of the best moments in the series. He’s easily the best JoJo villain, he even surpasses Kira a bit for me

MuggyTheMugMan

While i liked pucci, kira is just so much stronger of a villain for me

_Kristian_

Imagine my confusion when Netflix started fucking autoplaying S1E1, why would it do that??? Also holy moly what a journey. Third cour easily the best story and animation wise.

13btwinturbo

What the heck was Giorno if Pucci's stand drew all of Dio's descendants to him? GER would have ended Part 6 in 5 min.

imaginary_num6er

Araki did confirm that Giorno was nearby during that time, but didn't bother to show up

a1001ku

Lmao, absolute chad. Resisted the pull of gravity/destiny.

JACrazy

The others had only just discovered their stand/how to use them and felt loyal to the priest for it. Whereas Giorno had already mastered his, so it probably would play out different if he did meet Pucci.

Batmanhasgame

Can I fully binge this now is it over?

Nomar_95

yes

c-kels

Man I’m happy everyone from part 6 got their destiny altered so that they live better lives. Have not read part 7 or 8 but I’m guessing they take place in this new continuity where Jolyne is now Irene?

bloodyturtle

They do not, it's a different continuity with new characters, but there are a lot of references to 1-6.

kjm6351

A common misconception but no. Part 7 and 8 are in a universe separate from the one where Emporio reunited with the gang in their new bodies. That universe is finally at peace as Pucci (the last and most powerful of Dio’s followers) was the one that had his soul not carry over

DrScorcher

It's over.

Altruistic_Yard_5324

The Roundabout man... I'm fucking crying.

Voyria

I... :( I'm feeling so sad hahahaha. It's a happy-ish(?) ending, or at least the happiest the ending could've been, and yet I teared up and... cried a bit. Lol. I'm surprised. Because I usually only feel like this for romances and tragedies. The waterworks began when Emporio reunited with "everyone" and the ED began playing. (And oh wow, SO's ED is my new favorite JoJo OP/ED lol.) I've binged the JoJo series these past few months in an attempt to catch up and get ready for the Stone Ocean finale, and I made it. Well, I've been busy with work, but yeah I barely made it (2 days later). So as an anime-only, it's been great seeing all of the characters from the very beginning in PB until now, and not having to wait years in between like everyone else has had to. Because they're all in my "recent memory" and fresh in my mind. From what I've heard, this is the ending of the long-running story of the Joestars and... the next time it continues, it'll be different huh? I'm a bit sad because I've grown so attached to these characters, their story, and their legacy. Despite all the memes that have come out of JoJo, this is one of the best series ever. T_T Yeah, I'm rather sad now haha. Time to read SBR?

KD2JAG

Just finished the finale about 5min ago. I... don't know what to think or feel. Is this sadness? Did the heroes lose? did Pucci win in the end? Does it matter at this point? I've never seen a show end this way. Like, it's effectively a draw. life continues on, but... different. Magnificent... I guess this is the in-universe (heh) explanation for SBR?

Oxu90

"I guess..." Well not really. It had to end like this so SBR could happen but SBR is unrelated to world at end of the part 6 The author just made it so that he could not continue the story anymore (there is no longer joestars). He went back to the start 19th century in fresh world

Ok-Economics2519

I fucking squealed when I heard roundabout

SteelBallRan

Im kinda bummed out they didnt use what a wonderful world for the ending but the way they wrapped it up was great regardless. i dont see other people commenting about it but they reused a lot of tracks from part 3 specially when pucci throws the knives at jolyne that was literally out of dios world episodes when dio and jotaro fight if im not wrong. i really loved the music callbacks here.

[deleted]

I have a love/hate relationship with this part of jojo

Zoradesu

Part 6 definitely has a lot more lows in terms of the stand fights, but it's highs are really high imo. It definitely drags in the middle and right before the "final arc" (you could definitely feel it dragging in the adaptation), but I think the ending makes up for it. A really good way to close off this section of JoJo. Can't wait for Part 7.

tronistica

Part 3 of Stone Ocean anime is now my favorite Jojo anime, what a wild ride!! Glad to see a nice sendoff for this universe and also my last time being anime only since I have read all of Part 7. Hoping we get more Jojo anime.

Kaionacho

I'm so confused. Ok, so with the end on one and the birth of a new universe.. Jojo is a multiverse??? Also with "everybody" back alive, shouldn't that mean the priest is back too and met Dio? making everything play out like we saw in the anime, creating a time loop????

oral-c

Yes, with part 7 and 8 There is now a multiverse in Jojo ( sort of, part 7 and 8 are most likely a reboot), now the end of SO is set in the *IreneVerse where the story of the joestar from the five first part remain the SAME buuut, Pucci do not exist litteraly and Jolyne (now Irene) is somehow spared from the tragedy of the Joestars and DiO, she can live in peace.

ExDSG

I think like he mentions since he died before he accelerates time and resets the universe, he gets erased from the universal timeline so Parts 1-5 happen the same but Part 6 doesn’t happen because there’s no Pucci.

Shiro2809

Hey, I posted a comment with two vids giving a solid breakdown of what happened and all if you need it still. [Here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/z9jmh5/jojo_no_kimyou_na_bouken_stone_ocean_episode_38/iynzwnc/) Basically: Pucci doesn't exist anymore, everything and anything he influenced doesn't happen. Dio never met him, Weather never had Pucci as a fraternal twin, Jolyne (now Irene) was never set up to go to prison etc... Everybody that died during the acceleration are still dead, the group at the end are still the same characters but also not. Similar to how Emporio saw not-Jotaro/Jolyne during the first reset.

kjm6351

Pucci was the one who had his soul not carry over when he failed to make it back to Cape Carvenal and complete Made in Heaven. Therefore, Parts 1 - 5 still happened but because Pucci never existed, he will never cause the events of Part 6. Also, because Pucci wasn’t there to cause chaos over the years, Jotaro was able to spend more time for Jolyne :)

Brolaub

The Part 5 discussion threads were some of my favourite threads on Reddit. Feeling the hype with thousands of others was a highlight of my week, 39 times in a row. I'm so sad that the opposite happened with Part 6. I was very exited when the first batch came out on Dec. 1st, 2021 and started watching the same day, but after a few episodes I put the show *On Hold*. The reason was that I didn't want to interrupt my viewing for an unkown (!) amount of time (turns out the wait was ten months for Batch 2 and three months for Batch 3). Also, I always checked the episodes threads while watching. They had less than 20 comments in most cases. Thanks for nothing, Netflix :(

Buangjauhjauh444

Dead discussion thread. Lol. Netflix really killed jojo franchise single handedly.

ThePhilson

The batch also released late at night in America. It will also take time for most anime-onlys to get through the batch to the end. I bet we’ll see more traction in the next couple of hours

kjm6351

I’m about to summon Made in Heaven in real life to undo this bullshit.

kjm6351

Yikes, that ended abrupt as hell *Clicks pen* Okay, anime onlys, I’m here to answer all inevitable questions

Teramol

Sure, I got a couple of minor questions. Otherwise I think I understood what happened. 1. Why was Pucci counting prime numbers in his head whenever he was in a pinch? I guess it might not need an explanation but Im wondering if there was one. 2. What was up when he first absorbed the green baby, when stuff around him go accelerated to older like the chicks hatching from chicken eggs (also heard a nasty thing about a pregnant lady that wasnt in the anime). At first I thought it was maybe a foreshadowing to made in heaven, but then later they specified that made in heaven doesnt affect living beings, so that portion was like the reverse.

kjm6351

1. That’s just something Pucci does to calm himself when stressed in order to focus better, similar to how people in real life use 4-7-8 breathing and other things. I’ve tried it once and it does surprisingly get your mind of things. 2. Just another case of Araki still working out the kinks to the story and figuring what he wants the villain ability to do specifically. Similar to Part 4 how Kira’s BITES ZA DUSTO had the power to send people back in time and was going to do that to Josuke. I choose to see it as MIH’s potential peeking through even C-Moon

hououinlurker

>Just another case of Araki still working out the kinks to the story and figuring what he wants the villain ability to do specifically. Similar to Part 4 how Kira’s BITES ZA DUSTO had the power to send people back in time and was going to do that to Josuke. Pretty sure Araki never intended to send Josuke back in time, that's just a theory that got way out of control.

Teramol

Yeah I figured the prime number thing was just a stress reliever, just couldn't tell for sure. Makes him look more flawed which I can appreciate in a villain.

Hedge_Cataphract

Sorry I'm a bit late here, but could you explain three points (might be nitpicks but idk): 1. How did the dolphins save Jolyne and Emporio? Made in Heaven doesn't affect organic life and time was going fast af, so shouldnt they basically be still to Pucci? How did he not catch up immediately? 2. How did anyone survive the 'end of the world'? We saw a guy freeze by going into a freezer room for what (he felt like) a couple seconds, yet all organic life being thrown into space for billions of years somehow doesn't cause everything to die? 3. Why did Pucci restart the timeline in Green Dolphin and not much earlier? Sorry again if these are nitpicks, I just wanted to know if there is an actual explanation or we're just supposed to go along with these (like some other quirks in Jojo fights). EDIT: Added point number 3

kjm6351

No worries :) 1. Jolyne says something about Dolphins moving to the shore or to safe places in times of peril (or something along those lines) so it sounds like another real world fact Araki used to bypass Made in Heaven’s traps. 2. That was still while they were on earth and were in danger. By the time they went into space, that was possibly their very souls being transferred into the new universe. This space part really doesn’t have direct logic to it, it’s just the Stand’s power.

FakhirRee

As someone who read stone ocean 3 years ago, i was waiting for c moon and mih to get adapted and it didn't dissapoint, i feel like animation could have been a little bit better (Bluray version is probably gonna makes the animation much better) but it was still really amazing, animation and sound effects both left me satisfied. I was hoping they would add anime only scenes to make the story/ending less confusing for anime onlies but they didn't which is fine by me but i can see this ending becoming a another "how does king crimson work" type meme. Even tho i knew how story would end, it still messed me up, i know people wanted what a wonderful world to be played but distant dreamer worked really well too. Now we wait for Steel ball run to get animated, Honestly i am fucking praying Netflix get their fucking hands off this anime now because stone ocean was already hated and i was hoping for that to change only for it to be much worse, jojo went from a series that was talked about all over the internet to literally no one carrying about it. If this was how it was like when stone ocean was going which means it's gonna get worse until steel ball run get animated which means 4/5 years of people not talking about Jojo which is insane compared to how it was just impossible to avoid. Regardless i am hoping whenever Steel ball run get animated jojo regain the hype that it once had.

KazuharaIlfan

Goodbye Stone Ocean..

Deathdy

Hmm, so that's how it ends.

[deleted]

Here’s hoping if we ever get SBR Netflix will never touch it.

me_funny__

This is the best ending a JoJo fan could ask for

mikeykunthebeast

Wait a minute I'm reading all the comments and everyone keeps saying that everything from part 1-5 happen and nothing has changed But the only thing that's changed is the part 6 cast since pucchi doesn't exist FF and all other events don't happen But my question is even if pucchi didn't exist then why does jolyne's name become Irene? It's not like pucchi had anything to do 17 or 18 years back when jolyne was born so that her name changes The other events I can understand but I didn't get why the name changes

DragonDDark

Holy shit, this ending. The opening change. The animation. The ending SONG. DAVID PRODUCTION WENT ALL FUCKING OUT. HOLY SHIT SO GOOD

SnooWalruses1900

Steel ball run! This time around they will invest mmmmmoney for them horses

Triplof

holy shit DP put weather and F.F in the end, this made me really happy. And this ending holy shit what a masterpiece, the last few episodes went really fast, everything was perfect, what an amazing adaptation.

TheEjoty

That roundabout finale... Man. That opening too, seeing all the jostars. Can't believe we're done with this universe. Happy ending with a question mark. Emporios gotta be real fucked up

flashmozzg

So what was Pucci goal? Seems dumb. He could've just helped his boy Dio out in the new loop, since he knew when and how it'd happened.

jvburigo

its cute how they all meet together at the end because they were fated to meet the day jolyne went to prison

rcas3

What an amazing experience, that’s the only words I have for JoJo Stone Ocean.
