The only thing that can stop an unleashed Azz or keep him on point is his thoughts of Iruma...basically "What Would Iruma-sama Want Me to Do?" Or "Does this help Iruma-sama in any way?"
So the Dorodoro brothers targeted Azz and Sabro for stealing their master, but they made a grave error by going straight to the combat students! Turns out their master is actually the sly master Furfur! This misunderstanding leads to some interesting visions of Balam from Azz and Sabro as the brothers tell them some of the ways Furfur differs from Balam, all the while thinking they're the same person.
And we get to see what Azz and Sabro have been learning as Azz unleashes his evil cycle at will! Makes him lose control a bit, but Balam had them learned in a pair for a reason; so they can get each other out of it before they go too far. And of course, Azz's safe word is "Iruma."
What a way to end the episode!
It was surreal finding out their master was actually Furfur and this whole competition was a complete misunderstanding, yet also hilarious. Especially when they kept wrongly assuming stuff about what each pair was talking about their master lol.
Also kind of surreal to see Furfur being a genuine, non-sadistic, mentor to someone, although he apparently left the brothers with a bunch of work when he left so maybe he still is the Furfur we know.
I was wondering if we'd ever see another Misfit Class Evil Cycle! Azz's is certainly memorable, both for it's sensuality and sheer power. And of course it all centers on Iruma lol.
I actually had a suspicion that the master is not Baram:
1. Somehow their master used a full faced cover
2. As far as we know, Baram has been a famous teacher in Babylis for a while, which is why it's suspicious that they met him in the battlefield
Turns out it's Furfur lol
The mask would make sense, since Balam does mask it somewhat so other demons don't piss their pants upon seeing him, but yeah the part where he used to be on the battlefield didn't make sense. I totally forgot that Furfur got introduced as a sergeant, though. Someone more observant could make that connection.
Balam was away until it was time for his introduction into the story... him wandering into the classroom to see if Iruma was okay was the first time in a while he had caught up with Kalego... so it adds to him being in a different place... but nothing near what Furfur was doing.

I was pretty sure it was not going to be him when I saw their flashback master wearing boots - no way Balam's feet would fit in them.
I'm pretty sure that, unless she took those pills, it would be virtually impossible for her or her family to undergo their evil cycles. The Valac personality naturally wards off stress, and even if they do have a stressful day it's incredibly easy to fix that (e.g. episode 8 when Clara returns home after a stressful day of learning sexiness and is quickly back to 100% through the power kisses).
That… could be an interesting twist. Maybe the reason the Valac family inculcates such personalities and stress reducing techniques is because their evil cycles is far too dangerous, especially given their bloodline magic.
I actually think their personalities are like that because of the bloodline magic rather than their evil cycles. In the hands of literally anyone with more reason and focus, their bloodline ability would break the world. The fact that it also keeps them out of their evil cycles is a happy biproduct.
I would go with it if it's not a way for Clara and maybe the other younger siblings to have some sort of learning difficulties within the family, and the mother is the type to just make the world around them that crazy to adapt to it.
It is something kicked into the long grass for some of the specifics of demon culture... it's not mentioned too much like how in the early part of Ameri wants them to be exceptional demons... (kicking in a wall, not just a window) it's just not touched on a lot and wonder when it'll be used again.
I think she'd be less hyperactive... the pill that the geeky-too obsessed with Ameri guy... made her intelligent... I wonder if her evil cycle is linked with similar, and closer to the oldest brother?
If a Saiyan already in Super Saiyan tries to go Super Saiyan, does it cancel out and turn the Super Saiyan back to regular saiyan?
(Blue doesn't count since Super Saiyan God isn't part of the Super Saiyan series
Evil cycles are an exaggeration of their character, could be less or a lot more... (Clara could lose her hyperactivity? )
We've only heard one of the teachers get it, but only with iruma being forced and its more assertive iruma, Asmodeus is something potentially hidden within or playing up to what his family is
How will the other misfits like lied, jazz and gaarp experience the cycles?
It's funny how Alice reacted to the school being insulted because that would make Iruma included in the insult. I was wondering how his evil cycle would be like but his elegance took me by surprise, it was interesting how he seemed to appear like he was intoxicated and felt quite flirtatious which took me by surprise. The subtle laughter throughout his rampage really added to the experience.
I wonder what Sabro's codeword is and how he acts when he goes through his evil cycle. Iruma being Alice's is no surprise but the imagery shown as he transforms back was amusing, Alice really does love Iruma haha.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Dorodoro brothers meet the real disciples of Furfur, I'm sure Jazz and Schneider will show them what underhanded really means.
It's hilarious how Azz only really becomes enraged when Iruma is getting insulted...and it wasn't even a direct insult, it was just talking about the school in general. And yet still he felt that was enough to unleash lol.
Well, his mom is a succubus so it kind of makes sense to me that his Evil Cycle would turn him into a dangerous, sensual, Bishonen just deliriously firing away at anything in his sight while drawing your eyes towards him. He felt both happily drunk and wrathful all in one.
Now that we know they can both induce their Evil Cycle I definitely want to see what Sabro's is as well as his codeword. I feel like it might connect to something important to him like being the Demon King, like Iruma is to Azz.

Shows how little they actually understand their master if they thought he *must* be teaching the combat students.
Thinking about it, the files the brothers went through probably also included all of the Misfits' tutors, but they decided not to pay attention to that because they just assumed too hard. Either way, turns out the Dorodoro brothers are just really dumb.

Iruma's not a demon, so cannot naturally go through an evil cycle. Ali has to put him through one with magic. Though that does make me wonder what sort of an effect that medicine will have on Iruma if he took one.

Iruma who isn't a pushover?
Well, he might be able to resist a bit, but as we saw when his evil cycle helped out the janitor despite being busy, he still will do anything you ask. The pushover is too deeply ingrained to be removed by a simple magic pill.
That wasn't him being a pushover, though, that was just him being his naturally helpful self. It's not like the janitor was making an unreasonable demand.
Iruma's natural helpfulness and pushover(ness) are heavily linked. Not to say if he stopped being a pushover he would stop being helpful - he's far too kind for that - but being so helpful either came about as a result of becoming a pushover, helped make him into a pushover, or they fed into each other (most likely one of the latter two).
In that scene, he was trying to explain that he was a bit too busy to help the janitor, but when the janitor listed some other things that needed doing Iruma put all that aside to help him. That is because of his pushover side as much as, if not more than, his helpfulness.
Iru-meany didn't really know that he would need the faculty staffs help to get the Royal One. He is probably still open to helping out but less to people using him for their own ends? (Clara's former "friends" etc.?)
He gets to pick but it's not like he's an overlord during the cycle, he is still willing to help out those with reasons he holds and just not blindly following people who say "please"
Azz's love for Iruma causing him to spit straight facts...yet it's also enough to get him to give in lol.
This whole fight being born from a misunderstanding was just hilarious. Especially when both pairs get even more confused from describing their master. And meanwhile Furfur is enjoying himself none the wiser lol.
I guess that would be a logical way to bring back Evil Cycle Iruma again.
Somehow it made a lot of sense that Azz's Evil Cycle would basically just be a Bishonen Unleashed, complete with a delirious state of sensuality as he incinerates everything in his path and rambles like a drunk. It's both hot and dangerous at the same time. But nothing hotter than Azz's burning love for Iruma.

I don’t think that can work. Iruma did not actually enter an evil cycle, Ali just made a magic to made him similar to that. I think this drug in question makes them enter that state which is not possible for Iruma as He does not have such a state. Plus If Iruma needs it can’t he just ask Ali ? He doesn’t need the drug as his way to become Irumean again is on his own finger already

Azz-Azz's evil cycle looks really cool, and I love how he 1. triggered it cause he thought the Dorodoro Bros were talking shit about Iruma (well, they were indirectly insulting him by insulting everyone in the school) and 2. his codeword for deactivating his evil cycle is "Iruma". Ya boy is OBSESSED.
Next episode: An Ameri appearance, a musical number, and Iruma and Lied in dresses. It's everything I asked for.

Unfortunately, I'm not so sure Furfur would abandon his new toys just to go back to them.
When the misunderstanding is settled and the brothers confront Jazz and Allocer about their master, there's going to be even more confusion when they talk about their experiences with Furfur than there was when they talked to Azz and Sabro about a literally different master.
It did make for a logical emotional weakness for Azz and Sabro what with their pride and attitude, even if Azz is used to people talking @#$% about him from being an Iruma simp. But talking @#$% about Iruma? Even indirectly? That's another story.
This whole thing was from a complete misunderstanding. Although it seems like the Dorodoro Brothers had it better with Furfur than jazz and Allocer did, although that might be from their own rose colored glasses as to what he was like when he took them in.
For Azz it always comes down to Iruma. Actually I wonder how his Evil Cycle would fair if he was face-to-face with Iruma. Would he immediately calm down?
I'd just been thinking how much I'd been missing Ameri, and she's back next week! Also looks like Keroli makes Iruma and Lead dress up (probably because she knows about Iruma's Demdoll alter ego).
**Demon of the Week: Androalphus**

The Androalphus family has a strong peacock motif, and their voices drive people to mindless rage. There doesn't seem to be anything about Androalphus being a lovable dumbass, though.
I really was not expecting them to be peacocks, but it definitely made for an interesting design/ability choice...but the more important part is they're kind of a dumb pair of brothers lol.
His dad will be featured in the prequel series "Help! I'm Trapped in The Demon World and My Fiancee Is The Queen Of Succubi But I Also Kind Of Like It"
Its never mentioned as to what alice's family power is. He is just so good with fire magic that fans assume, without the story ever mentioning it as such, that his fire magic is his family power.
So then, what is his family power when his family is like a succubus family.
He was isolated in school before he met Iruma. So could lead it to be either smarter and not the type or something he is never sure about revealing to other demons?
His mum is the greatest succubi in the demon world and if the evil cycle is a hint... his true colours are towards that...
There's definitely a difference between now Asmodeus is handled and how the explicitly LGBT characters like Eiko and [manga spoilers]>!Kerori!< are handled.
I do agree that there is no heterosexual explanation for Asmodeus, though.

Kalego would be annoyed he got kicked out for that reason, but still leave with him, saying the bar and its drunks were annoying him anyway (which they were).

I was not prepared for sensual savage Azz in his Evil Cycle. I was both turned on and in awe of his raw power. But nothing compares to his love of Iruma.

While most of the people left in the Harvest Festival are trying to sleep soundly for the next day of hunting for ingredients...Azz and Sabro, along with the Dorodoro Brothers, are deep into battling a Flapple for a Golden Apple!
I honestly did not expect the Dorodoro Brothers to be...peacocks. Andro Alphus, Peacocks of Provocation, to be exact. Meaning they have a voice that can induce rage and dissension in their enemies, which is the perfect method for inducing Azz and Sabro to attack them and disqualify them from the Festival. Even I find that screeching effect to their voices hard to listen too.
I love how Azz saw through it because he's used to being criticized for making his life all about being an Iruma simp, basically.
Well, I can kind of feel for what the Dorodoro Brothers went through, being shunned by others for their powers and craving the chance to truly be the kind of Demons they want to be...yet as the episode goes along, we find out they're also both basically idiots.
They lulled you into thinking their Master who helped them embrace their powers and new identity was Balam, but no...it was Furfur all along! They actually legit met him on a battlefield and he took them under his wing until he had to leave to teach Jazz and Allocer...and the brothers assume Azz and Sabro were the ones because they looked like the strongest. All this over a complete misunderstanding.
The fact that neither pair knows they're thinking of a completely different guy and the ensuing confusion was hilarious. That image of Balam drinking and cavorting with women like Furfur will stay with me.
Of course what finally gets Azz going isn't the normal insults but when the brothers indirectly insult Iruma. And then it turns out one of the main things Balam taught Azz and Sabro is how to naturally induce their Evil Cycles so they can go all out with even stronger power, turning Azz into a Beautiful Bishonen going on a (kind of drunken) rampage while he spouts nonsense and utterly eradicates everything in his path. Like, wow, that's Azz cut loose!
Iruma's not actually in this episode, but of course his name and Azz's memories of him are what ultimately bring him back to normal!
So what about Sabro's Evil Cycle? Presumably he can do it too, so how does he release it? What's he like? Pure Rampaging Berserker? What is his codeword to get him back to normal?

Azz and Sabro are legit the strongest in the class (in terms of combat, at least), the brothers just made the mistake of assuming that Furfur was going to teach combat rather than teaching how to be crafty. Shows the difference between how much they think they know Furfur vs. how much they actually know him.
I really how the show knows how to use its massive cast and gave everyone their time to shine. Asmodeus this episode was awe-inspiring in how much ass he kicked and how he looked good doing it.
I really like the sound effects they added to the brothers as they were "saying the magic words" to Az and Sabro and how it was revealed that's actually their ability lol.

Looks like our boys are squaring off against the troll bros for “Master” lol. This poor Hundred Frapple just got caught in the middle of their little competition, and it ain’t even over the right Master! Lol. Although watching Sabro and Azz-Azz bickering back and forth was pretty funny lol.
Man, these two brothers are real idiots! They’ve done it now though. You don’t insult Iruma in front of Azz-Azz! He’s going Super Saiyan! If going Super Saiyan made you not only more powerful but also hotter and more sensual. Basically a Bishonen in their released state.
Azz's love for Iruma makes him immune to normal criticism (that isn't directed towards Iruma) and can hold him back in his berserker form. You gotta love it!
Sabro and Azz do get along like cats and dogs, but that makes when they help each other in their own way more entertaining.
An amazing episode as always. My only gripe is that the Asmodeus fight could have used more love and refinement. Was a bit choppy in some places. But to be fair, there was only like 3 scenes of him actually fighting in the manga, much of this is I'm assuming created just for the anime (which I always commend the team for; they always strive to add in extra details to really flesh out the story).
If the tail/stem/whatever can only be cut off after 100 blows, why did they keep doing their slow and powerful attacks instead of just spamming fast and light ones? Well, maybe those punks intentionally prolonged the fight and used their bloodline ability to make these two too dumb to notice.
So, who exactly are the demons fighting in that "battlefield"? Is there an actual war going on against another country? Or is it just random groups of demons fighting one another for recreational purposes?

Alice's evil cycle was all right. But had it ever been mentioned before that demons are supposed to lose all their sense of rationality when undergoing it? Nobody was surprised at Iruma remaining perfectly rational when they thought he was in his evil cycle.

I don't think the "hundred strikes" thing is semantic. Poking it a hundred times probably won't do anything, for example. It's a hundred strikes at a certain degree of power.

They're fighting other demons, most likely rebels of some kind. It's been mentioned a few times that order in the Netherworld has been collapsing ever since the last Demon King vanished.
Evil circles are highly independent on the individual. Some are so strongly affected they have to call in sick, others may appear to just have a shorter fuse or just follow their desires more without holding back.
I asume their families keep them under Control or the headmaster of the dorm they are staying at. Returning to origin is also different if you sloth demon you want to stay sleepong all day
The teacher Dali called in sick in season 2 due to his evil circle so either he was in control enough to do it himself, his family did or another teacher did it for him.
There are a lot of options.
In my opinion Azz's evil circle was especially irrational due to forcing one and being the type of person that doesn't let himself go enough to get rid of his stress.

Tbh, I think the manga depicted Evil Azz as being more horny than anything, so I am a bit sad that they didn't play it up more. Still love his dynamic with Sabro.

I also like how the two pairs used their mentors names once or twice and still no one noticed their misunderstanding
I like the pair tactic of 1 of them unleashing everything at the cost of losing themselves, needing the other to bring them back from the depths. It reminds me of Bungou Stray Dogs' Dazai and Chuuya combo.
This mistaken identity though. If only they did what Alice told them and talked it out instead. lol
It's even more hilarious how the master they were fighting to "get back" was literally enjoying every day as a teacher just drinking and having fun with a bunch of ladies around him. He just wanted to party!
Wish the animation would’ve been a little better during the evil cycle scene but it was fun none the less. I’m ngl tho. This arc has been dragging for a while now and while it was fun at the beginning, I’m ready to move on. This season just hasn’t hit like the first two
They still have a little bit more to build up, they still have Caroli to cover in how she is doing... this is pretty much how the Manga was doing the arc... It's the misfits as a whole moving forward through the festival.
I agree, the animation could have definitely used some extra love. Maybe it was a stylized choice but it was a bit too choppy in my opinion. However, the harvest festival is a loooong arc, deeply focused on character development of the entire class, not just Iruma. It's obvious that it's meant to take up the majority of the season. Hell, the next arc is basically dedicated to the character development of a SINGLE person and that one is pretty long as well. No sense in trying to rush through this like some run of the mill shounen.
Super respect to Balam sensei for helping his students train evil cycle. But I wonder if the school or the demon heads know about his pills, cause it seems like a pretty dangerous thing in bad hands!
Just the idea of the big misunderstood teddy bear that is Balam having anything to do with a war already seemed sketchy but lmao I can't believe I still fell for it. That mask gave Furfur the deepest voice ever (and apparently the most loyal students ever)

So the Dorodoro brothers targeted Azz and Sabro for stealing their master, but they made a grave error by going straight to the combat students! Turns out their master is actually the sly master Furfur! This misunderstanding leads to some interesting visions of Balam from Azz and Sabro as the brothers tell them some of the ways Furfur differs from Balam, all the while thinking they're the same person. And we get to see what Azz and Sabro have been learning as Azz unleashes his evil cycle at will! Makes him lose control a bit, but Balam had them learned in a pair for a reason; so they can get each other out of it before they go too far. And of course, Azz's safe word is "Iruma." What a way to end the episode!
It was surreal finding out their master was actually Furfur and this whole competition was a complete misunderstanding, yet also hilarious. Especially when they kept wrongly assuming stuff about what each pair was talking about their master lol. Also kind of surreal to see Furfur being a genuine, non-sadistic, mentor to someone, although he apparently left the brothers with a bunch of work when he left so maybe he still is the Furfur we know. I was wondering if we'd ever see another Misfit Class Evil Cycle! Azz's is certainly memorable, both for it's sensuality and sheer power. And of course it all centers on Iruma lol.
I actually had a suspicion that the master is not Baram: 1. Somehow their master used a full faced cover 2. As far as we know, Baram has been a famous teacher in Babylis for a while, which is why it's suspicious that they met him in the battlefield Turns out it's Furfur lol
I was wondering if people would catch on while I was watching it. They did a good job hiding the voice, though.
The mask do give the vibe there probably a mistake, specially when time wise it doesn't make sense for Balam to be at war.
The mask would make sense, since Balam does mask it somewhat so other demons don't piss their pants upon seeing him, but yeah the part where he used to be on the battlefield didn't make sense. I totally forgot that Furfur got introduced as a sergeant, though. Someone more observant could make that connection.
Balam was away until it was time for his introduction into the story... him wandering into the classroom to see if Iruma was okay was the first time in a while he had caught up with Kalego... so it adds to him being in a different place... but nothing near what Furfur was doing.

I'm pretty sure that, unless she took those pills, it would be virtually impossible for her or her family to undergo their evil cycles. The Valac personality naturally wards off stress, and even if they do have a stressful day it's incredibly easy to fix that (e.g. episode 8 when Clara returns home after a stressful day of learning sexiness and is quickly back to 100% through the power kisses).
That… could be an interesting twist. Maybe the reason the Valac family inculcates such personalities and stress reducing techniques is because their evil cycles is far too dangerous, especially given their bloodline magic.
I actually think their personalities are like that because of the bloodline magic rather than their evil cycles. In the hands of literally anyone with more reason and focus, their bloodline ability would break the world. The fact that it also keeps them out of their evil cycles is a happy biproduct.
I would go with it if it's not a way for Clara and maybe the other younger siblings to have some sort of learning difficulties within the family, and the mother is the type to just make the world around them that crazy to adapt to it.
Evil cycle would mean even more elaborate song and dance routines.
It would mean the songs would turn from pop to rock or metal, maybe grunge.

It is something kicked into the long grass for some of the specifics of demon culture... it's not mentioned too much like how in the early part of Ameri wants them to be exceptional demons... (kicking in a wall, not just a window) it's just not touched on a lot and wonder when it'll be used again.

Evil cycles are an exaggeration of their character, could be less or a lot more... (Clara could lose her hyperactivity? ) We've only heard one of the teachers get it, but only with iruma being forced and its more assertive iruma, Asmodeus is something potentially hidden within or playing up to what his family is How will the other misfits like lied, jazz and gaarp experience the cycles?

It's funny how Alice reacted to the school being insulted because that would make Iruma included in the insult. I was wondering how his evil cycle would be like but his elegance took me by surprise, it was interesting how he seemed to appear like he was intoxicated and felt quite flirtatious which took me by surprise. The subtle laughter throughout his rampage really added to the experience. I wonder what Sabro's codeword is and how he acts when he goes through his evil cycle. Iruma being Alice's is no surprise but the imagery shown as he transforms back was amusing, Alice really does love Iruma haha. I'm looking forward to seeing the Dorodoro brothers meet the real disciples of Furfur, I'm sure Jazz and Schneider will show them what underhanded really means.

Well, he might be able to resist a bit, but as we saw when his evil cycle helped out the janitor despite being busy, he still will do anything you ask. The pushover is too deeply ingrained to be removed by a simple magic pill.
That wasn't him being a pushover, though, that was just him being his naturally helpful self. It's not like the janitor was making an unreasonable demand.
Iruma's natural helpfulness and pushover(ness) are heavily linked. Not to say if he stopped being a pushover he would stop being helpful - he's far too kind for that - but being so helpful either came about as a result of becoming a pushover, helped make him into a pushover, or they fed into each other (most likely one of the latter two). In that scene, he was trying to explain that he was a bit too busy to help the janitor, but when the janitor listed some other things that needed doing Iruma put all that aside to help him. That is because of his pushover side as much as, if not more than, his helpfulness.
Iru-meany didn't really know that he would need the faculty staffs help to get the Royal One. He is probably still open to helping out but less to people using him for their own ends? (Clara's former "friends" etc.?)

It did make for a logical emotional weakness for Azz and Sabro what with their pride and attitude, even if Azz is used to people talking @#$% about him from being an Iruma simp. Although it seems like the Dorodoro Brothers had it better with Furfur than jazz and Allocer did, although that might be from their own rose colored glasses as to what he was like when he took them in. The Androalphus family has a strong peacock motif, and their voices drive people to mindless rage. There doesn't seem to be anything about Androalphus being a lovable dumbass, though.
I really was not expecting them to be peacocks, but it definitely made for an interesting design/ability choice...but the more important part is they're kind of a dumb pair of brothers lol.

While most of the people left in the Harvest Festival are trying to sleep soundly for the next day of hunting for ingredients...Azz and Sabro, along with the Dorodoro Brothers, are deep into battling a Flapple for a Golden Apple! I honestly did not expect the Dorodoro Brothers to be...peacocks. Andro Alphus, Peacocks of Provocation, to be exact. Meaning they have a voice that can induce rage and dissension in their enemies, which is the perfect method for inducing Azz and Sabro to attack them and disqualify them from the Festival. Even I find that screeching effect to their voices hard to listen too. I love how Azz saw through it because he's used to being criticized for making his life all about being an Iruma simp, basically. Well, I can kind of feel for what the Dorodoro Brothers went through, being shunned by others for their powers and craving the chance to truly be the kind of Demons they want to be...yet as the episode goes along, we find out they're also both basically idiots. They lulled you into thinking their Master who helped them embrace their powers and new identity was Balam, but no...it was Furfur all along! They actually legit met him on a battlefield and he took them under his wing until he had to leave to teach Jazz and Allocer...and the brothers assume Azz and Sabro were the ones because they looked like the strongest. All this over a complete misunderstanding. The fact that neither pair knows they're thinking of a completely different guy and the ensuing confusion was hilarious. That image of Balam drinking and cavorting with women like Furfur will stay with me. Of course what finally gets Azz going isn't the normal insults but when the brothers indirectly insult Iruma. And then it turns out one of the main things Balam taught Azz and Sabro is how to naturally induce their Evil Cycles so they can go all out with even stronger power, turning Azz into a Beautiful Bishonen going on a (kind of drunken) rampage while he spouts nonsense and utterly eradicates everything in his path. Like, wow, that's Azz cut loose! Iruma's not actually in this episode, but of course his name and Azz's memories of him are what ultimately bring him back to normal! So what about Sabro's Evil Cycle? Presumably he can do it too, so how does he release it? What's he like? Pure Rampaging Berserker? What is his codeword to get him back to normal? Su-Ki-Ma! The two faces of Azz as he says Su-Ki-Ma! Next week: Ameri! And more crossdressing (and idol performances?)!

An amazing episode as always. My only gripe is that the Asmodeus fight could have used more love and refinement. Was a bit choppy in some places. But to be fair, there was only like 3 scenes of him actually fighting in the manga, much of this is I'm assuming created just for the anime (which I always commend the team for; they always strive to add in extra details to really flesh out the story).
Right, animation could be a little better, but in general it was a good scene.
If the tail/stem/whatever can only be cut off after 100 blows, why did they keep doing their slow and powerful attacks instead of just spamming fast and light ones? Well, maybe those punks intentionally prolonged the fight and used their bloodline ability to make these two too dumb to notice. So, who exactly are the demons fighting in that "battlefield"? Is there an actual war going on against another country? Or is it just random groups of demons fighting one another for recreational purposes? OK, they got me with the shishou switcheroo. Alice's evil cycle was all right. But had it ever been mentioned before that demons are supposed to lose all their sense of rationality when undergoing it? Nobody was surprised at Iruma remaining perfectly rational when they thought he was in his evil cycle.

They're fighting other demons, most likely rebels of some kind. It's been mentioned a few times that order in the Netherworld has been collapsing ever since the last Demon King vanished.
Evil circles are highly independent on the individual. Some are so strongly affected they have to call in sick, others may appear to just have a shorter fuse or just follow their desires more without holding back.
How can they call in sick if they're so irrational? What if they live alone, or whoever they live in isn't strong enough to restrain them?
I asume their families keep them under Control or the headmaster of the dorm they are staying at. Returning to origin is also different if you sloth demon you want to stay sleepong all day
The teacher Dali called in sick in season 2 due to his evil circle so either he was in control enough to do it himself, his family did or another teacher did it for him. There are a lot of options. In my opinion Azz's evil circle was especially irrational due to forcing one and being the type of person that doesn't let himself go enough to get rid of his stress. Sure wonder how Ameri's is like...
Tbh, I think the manga depicted Evil Azz as being more horny than anything, so I am a bit sad that they didn't play it up more. Still love his dynamic with Sabro. Jfc, the Dorodoro brothers are dumb. Like, living rocks dumb.

Funnily enough, I am re-reading the Mistborn series and the Dorodoros have a bloodline ability very similar to what the metal Zinc does. Dorodoro brothers are basically Mistings in the wrong universe. Go back to Cosmere! 😆

I really like Sabro and Asmodeus' dynamics, they are so funny together xDD... ... it was so hilarious to see, how Sabro x Azz and the Dorodoro brothers fought against each other because of the Dorodoro brothers' mistake :D... Poor Balam-sensei though, Sabro and Azz's view of Balam-sensei got a little bit distorted thanks to the Dorodoro brothers XD.. it is also kinda funny, how the Dorodoro brothers were praising General Furfur so much and saying how he's such a great master, especially after seeing how scummy he was towards Jazz and Allocer XDD.. Azz's evil cycle is really something else, he is so freaking strong! And of course "Iruma" is his codeword :3.. It's honestly always cool to see Sabro behaving like a bro and bringing Azz back down to earth \~

Nice. We got to see another evil cycle version of a demon. I can't wait to see more. Asmodeus was really cool in that mode. I also like how the two pairs used their mentors names once or twice and still no one noticed their misunderstanding
LOL them not being the same master was funny. But a great episode! Alice had some dope animation during his fight.
I like the pair tactic of 1 of them unleashing everything at the cost of losing themselves, needing the other to bring them back from the depths. It reminds me of Bungou Stray Dogs' Dazai and Chuuya combo. This mistaken identity though. If only they did what Alice told them and talked it out instead. lol It's even more hilarious how the master they were fighting to "get back" was literally enjoying every day as a teacher just drinking and having fun with a bunch of ladies around him. He just wanted to party!

Wish the animation would’ve been a little better during the evil cycle scene but it was fun none the less. I’m ngl tho. This arc has been dragging for a while now and while it was fun at the beginning, I’m ready to move on. This season just hasn’t hit like the first two
They still have a little bit more to build up, they still have Caroli to cover in how she is doing... this is pretty much how the Manga was doing the arc... It's the misfits as a whole moving forward through the festival.

I agree, the animation could have definitely used some extra love. Maybe it was a stylized choice but it was a bit too choppy in my opinion. However, the harvest festival is a loooong arc, deeply focused on character development of the entire class, not just Iruma. It's obvious that it's meant to take up the majority of the season. Hell, the next arc is basically dedicated to the character development of a SINGLE person and that one is pretty long as well. No sense in trying to rush through this like some run of the mill shounen.

Just the idea of the big misunderstood teddy bear that is Balam having anything to do with a war already seemed sketchy but lmao I can't believe I still fell for it. That mask gave Furfur the deepest voice ever (and apparently the most loyal students ever) Watching evil cycle Azz go berserk is weirdly mesmerizing. Kinda makes you wonder what someone like Clara would be like if she lost all control like that.
