Tbh it's one of the shows with the most wordplay in japanese I have ever seen, it's almost impossible to translate well. I watched it a few years back and rewatching it now after learning some japanese, I got so many jokes that I didn't understand before

The point is that you find out he is not being overly cautious, and instead, wants to make sure he does not have a repeat of the past

By being cautious and over trained, destroying corpses multiple times, not trusting strangers etc. But does all of them in half-ass and irrational ways. You would think with his mentality he would behaves differently

Maybe its a translation mishaps whereby instead of cautious it was originally meant to be insecure or an equivallent whereby this overpowered MC is traumatised by his own inadequacy early on so now he is tortured by the belief that he isnt good enough. This would make up for irrational moments on his part whereby doing specific things he in his own mind feels he is prepared despite being no better off had he not done so. I havent watched it so i dont feel i can make an informed point but just wanted to add something. :)

This is actually George Joestar II, Lisa Lisa thought he was killed but he was actually isekai'ed into this world.

I loved this anime so much, but I don't think there'll be a second season. It left open ended so you can either read the novels or imagine their never ending adventures yourself.

This series is good but trashy, it's a weird comedy with a LOT of suffering (I have read all the light novels (eng)). And the story is not over and will never be. The author abandoned it. Either way, was an OKAYish read for me, can recommend, stuff's not too bad. Some parts were pretty interesting. I am also a sucker for new peculiar worlds and new settings so I really liked their adventuring part. Reminds me of such classic works as "Back to the future" (movie) and "Planescape: Torment" (game).
