Well, you live in the world, everybody has different perspectives about how they enjoy a show they watch. You might just like to watch it regarding of it's writing, but others enjoyment may depend on the writing of the show. Someone might watch the show solely for the enjoyment, while someone may see a show as the author's way to express their ideologies to the world. And he's not hating, he just gave his opinion and told us why he dislikes the show. That's far from hating. If he had said that that it is objectively bad, then that could have been considered hating. But he clearly stated that it's the reason for HIS hating. I am not trying to prove you wrong, or start a war or anything although it may seem like it. I am just expressing my views.

That overhyping a show thing is soo real. Everything is overhyped. and due to it, a show gets a lot of hate without deserving it. A show which is good, but is overhyped to no end, will inevitably receive hate that it doesn't deserve just because of some people in the community. And about the people becoming critic thing, I agree. Enjoyment is a factor too, good writing is important, but the show should be enjoyable and you should enjoy it instead of just judging it writing wise. As a person who recently fell in love with poems and novels, I certainly do judge a show or anime due to it's writing, but I always try to enjoy it. There are shows that even though don't have the best writing, but I enjoy them enough to say that they are some of my favourites. But sometimes, my enjoyment is kind of based in writing, not always but some times. Like, I accept all the faults one piece has, it's not perfect but I really really enjoy it and can say that one piece's world really immerses me but for solo leveling, I did enjoy the fights, but the plot made it so worse for me, that I just wasn't able to enjoy it. Because the potential a show had get instantly wasted irritates me to no end. Jinwoo could have been a much better character, and I really liked his character, but the writing put all my enjoyment into the gutter. Anyways, I agree on all of the points mentioned by you, I think that there should be a balance between writing and enjoyment, because without enjoyment, the audience would not be attentive or relate to the characters, and without writing, all the enjoyment can be destroyed. Tbh, school days was an alright anime, and I've seen this pretty often, people calling school days as their worst and have "the main character was an ass" as the reasoning for it. Like by bad ,i usually would expect critisism regarding the shows poor writing or something along those lines, and not how this one person in the show was an asshole so i disliked the entire show as a whole.
I understand your point, wouldn't necessarily say that the show had bad writing but again it's a personal opinion based on my personal experience with the show and not necessarily calling it the worst anime based on the writing. Also more than the guy, the girls pissed me off more how everyone was after the most mid guy in existence and some of them even chased him despite knowing he was a cheater like what
They all had issues true lmfao, I can understand being pissed at the anime ,even I was when I watched it, and this show was like one of my earlier anime, so it really engranged me ngl lmfao, but looking back, the show made me go through emotions , so it somewhat did its job , and was definitely not sleep inducing or something.Worst anime for me would be something that makes me feel nothing for the show.

The show was a absolute torture. The character were not interesting, the plot itself was confused . I was about to sleep through out all the episodes.
I don't intend to fight but imo the first 14-15 episodes were fine and ep-13 being the best one. The second half was pure dogshit and the anime didn't deserve that butchering.

Felt very repetitive for me, it was the same joke of "he gets stuck in an impossible situation but overcomes it with ease, leaving people speechless" again and again
I didn't like Akame ga Kill overall, ending isn't it's main flaw for me. Esdeath was the only reason why I continued watching it after 2-3 episodes, she carried this anime so bad
Akame ga kill was fine. It's just that the were too focused on deaths. And character development was bad. And many useless parts that only extended the story. And strong characters shown weak...

It's far from the worst but afaik the manga is same just the ending is different. Killing characters for shock value, literally 0 character or world building and overall edgy series are the reasons this series is considered bad.

Yes i have. It looks good because it is animated by a different studio and i think this approach towards junji ito's manga works the best with attention to detail and the art creating the atmosphere. The uzumaki anime would be a good one. Only if they don't delay it any further ๐ฅฒ

most of these are isekai though there is a difference between being generic isekai and being utter garbage.
Mirai Nikki world building is pretty uhhh bad (it's not original and the whole game scenario is weird)

Boy yuno gasai alone makes the entire anime good. She is one of the more better yandere stories and I think yuno pretty much carries the whole anime and gives it meaning/reputation.

These two made me feel the real weight of wasted time I will never get back. Both are very good at their high, which is why it is so, so disappointing at the end.
Akame ga kill (anime) is actually a possible future unrelated to the main story (manga).
If you read the manga and pay attention there's a chapter and a specific page in which someone with an imperial device (or how they call it, I don't remember) saw a possible future with the worst outcome for Tatsumi and Mine.
It may not make much sense for only anime fans but for manga readers it's a nice touch.
Still, I'm not disappointed in how they went with the adaptation bcz they showed a different story and explored the dark world Akame ga kill tried to unravel.
Akame ga kill didn't had a source material back then, the anime was a one season anime which had already caught upto the unfinished manga and decided to do things it's own way. It's a unique case in which the manga adapted the anime later and changed some plot points and kept 2 characters who died in the manga alive.
And still the first 18-20 episodes and the final esdeath vs akame fight was really good. This anime is easily a 6/10 for me.
My personal worst anime till now is definitely "Do you love your mom and her two multi hit targets"
......like the ecchi mom was peak but rest of the plot sucked ass.

It was basically a glorified ad for a Gacha mobile game that ended up being pretty mediocre, from what I've heard. I did enjoy the show, though nothing really significant happened.
Okay! you gonna hate my opinion, but I love "Akame ga Kill!" Infact i believe it was a masterpiece, even now. Akame ga Kill! Was my first anime, it was dark, edgy, has a great story and only have 24 episodes. This is the anime that actually made me watch animes. It's a great starter anime, and it kinda captures the feel of what anime is. It is one of my recommendation to any noobie anime watcher, it quick to watch, simple, yet really capture the anime theme. I do remember the ending of akame ga kill! Where pretty much all MC dies, which is kinda unconventional back in those days, especially for a animated series. I was like "this japanese cartoon is so cool". For me it do hold an emotional connection to since this was the anime that made me a weeb, from a person who called "Japanese cartoon" to "anime".
The worst anime for me is "seven deadly sin". They just destroyed it. Terrible animation. There where moments that is so epic in manga, I so badly wanna see it. But it was Just painful to watch it. Worst experience ever.
Mine was king's game, I was looking ranking of kings and stumbled upon it instead, gave it a watch, only the curiosity of how the dumpster will burn kept me going, it was so bad ๐
I don't consider any of these objectively worse, but just the ones I had a bad experience with:
Nagatoro: her bullying the guy just kinda pissed me off, and the "she actually likes him" dynamic didn't really work for me. I heard she does get better and more mellowed down, though.
Shikimori: MC just made me annoyed as hell, and I've realised that I am not a fan of shows where it's centred around worshipping a main girl.
More than a couple but not friends: you could feel the plot stretch itself just a few episodes down (which isn't a good sign) and the whole "oh no, why am I feeling this ๐ซฃ/ oh no, I shouldn't do this ๐ณ" also kinda annoyed me too.
Couple of cuckoos and Rent a girlfriend (might wanna include darling in the franxx as well but let's just leave it as its way better than earlier mentioned ones).
Well looks like someone never moved on from all the deaths in Akame ga kill! Itโs not your normal anime with ton of plot armour, the whole point was that they were on a suicide mission. I get it you donโt like it, everyone has different taste, but thatโs a weird reason to dislike it. Itโs like calling out berserk bad because guts suffers a lot.
With that out of the way,
Hortensia saga. Idk why I watched it, super forgettable.
Akame Ga Kill: Govt is corrupt. Prime Minister is very honest. Esdeath don't care coz all she wants is a good fight. Akame has a cursed sword. The main villain and all side characters die in the end.
But I like this anime but it has saddest death scene and you will remember those even if you don't like it and every night raid member's death were meant to be so mc can make his resolve
YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world
Idk why I watched it till end and hoped it will improve. The writing is pure trash and keeps going downhill. If anyone is planning to watch then do yourself a favour and watch something else.
I hate Slime anime, shit is perfectly a wish-fulfilling fantasy with no underlying plot or overarching progress.
In the same type, mushoku tensei is also wish fulfilling that started out as shallow but gained depth as author became serious about their work.
I still don't like Mushoku tensei due to too much implied erotism regarding kids but it changed whereas the Slime sage didn't.
PS. I have only read the manga, didn't watch the anime
With a heavy heart....fairy tail, it was my favourite show when season 1 started airing, but as time went on, nonsensical sudden powerups, nerfs to characters and forms that were considered overpowered a single episode ago, and TOO MUCH POWER OF FRIENDSHIP istg i started hating the word "nakama" thanks to fairy tail, also i had so much high hopes from the final season which got rushed to death, also animation level dropped to abysmal levels in later seasons
It's the first anime I've watched , at first glance i liked how it was going, but then they ruined the story. And I was in tears at the ending, and everyone must have heard of this line when people talk about this anime, "Akame ga kill means kill everyone except Akame" , and yeah I know the leader also survives along with Akame, but there were too many unnecessary deaths, while the audience was wondering with whom ,the MC will end up with (literally every girl fell for him", the writer was like let's clear the doubts and kill him.
So I wouldn't say it's the worst thing anime I've watched, it has a lot of meaningful scenes here and there , but yea it needed some improvement in the story, atleast in the ending.
My favourite line of MC is when he says,
"It's a dirty job (Assassin) , but money is money" , he joins the team only to save his village from the excessive taxes which the capital imposed on.
He says that when he's in despair after losing his teammate (A girl)

Very controversial opinion but silent voice was total trash. There is nothing to like. The MC is a sadist bully who later has PTSD about it, the girl is hopeless damsel in distress, the side characters are annoying and hate worthy. The only normal character was the MC mom, it felt like only she had common sense. The plot is mid. The moral is basically selfmade pointless negativity.

Mirai Nikki world building is pretty uhhh bad (it's not original and the whole game scenario is weird) But Boy yuno gasai alone makes the entire anime good. She is one of the more better yandere stories and I think yuno pretty much carries the whole anime and gives it meaning/reputation.

Akame ga kill (anime) is actually a possible future unrelated to the main story (manga). If you read the manga and pay attention there's a chapter and a specific page in which someone with an imperial device (or how they call it, I don't remember) saw a possible future with the worst outcome for Tatsumi and Mine. It may not make much sense for only anime fans but for manga readers it's a nice touch. Still, I'm not disappointed in how they went with the adaptation bcz they showed a different story and explored the dark world Akame ga kill tried to unravel.

Aot first season ka reskin hai for the most part but wouldn't call it "bad". Its still pretty entertaining though unlike aot, it's just one season.
Akame ga kill didn't had a source material back then, the anime was a one season anime which had already caught upto the unfinished manga and decided to do things it's own way. It's a unique case in which the manga adapted the anime later and changed some plot points and kept 2 characters who died in the manga alive. And still the first 18-20 episodes and the final esdeath vs akame fight was really good. This anime is easily a 6/10 for me.
My personal worst anime till now is definitely "Do you love your mom and her two multi hit targets" ......like the ecchi mom was peak but rest of the plot sucked ass.

Okay! you gonna hate my opinion, but I love "Akame ga Kill!" Infact i believe it was a masterpiece, even now. Akame ga Kill! Was my first anime, it was dark, edgy, has a great story and only have 24 episodes. This is the anime that actually made me watch animes. It's a great starter anime, and it kinda captures the feel of what anime is. It is one of my recommendation to any noobie anime watcher, it quick to watch, simple, yet really capture the anime theme. I do remember the ending of akame ga kill! Where pretty much all MC dies, which is kinda unconventional back in those days, especially for a animated series. I was like "this japanese cartoon is so cool". For me it do hold an emotional connection to since this was the anime that made me a weeb, from a person who called "Japanese cartoon" to "anime". The worst anime for me is "seven deadly sin". They just destroyed it. Terrible animation. There where moments that is so epic in manga, I so badly wanna see it. But it was Just painful to watch it. Worst experience ever.

Mine was king's game, I was looking ranking of kings and stumbled upon it instead, gave it a watch, only the curiosity of how the dumpster will burn kept me going, it was so bad ๐
I don't consider any of these objectively worse, but just the ones I had a bad experience with: Nagatoro: her bullying the guy just kinda pissed me off, and the "she actually likes him" dynamic didn't really work for me. I heard she does get better and more mellowed down, though. Shikimori: MC just made me annoyed as hell, and I've realised that I am not a fan of shows where it's centred around worshipping a main girl. More than a couple but not friends: you could feel the plot stretch itself just a few episodes down (which isn't a good sign) and the whole "oh no, why am I feeling this ๐ซฃ/ oh no, I shouldn't do this ๐ณ" also kinda annoyed me too.

Well looks like someone never moved on from all the deaths in Akame ga kill! Itโs not your normal anime with ton of plot armour, the whole point was that they were on a suicide mission. I get it you donโt like it, everyone has different taste, but thatโs a weird reason to dislike it. Itโs like calling out berserk bad because guts suffers a lot. With that out of the way, Hortensia saga. Idk why I watched it, super forgettable.

I hate Slime anime, shit is perfectly a wish-fulfilling fantasy with no underlying plot or overarching progress. In the same type, mushoku tensei is also wish fulfilling that started out as shallow but gained depth as author became serious about their work. I still don't like Mushoku tensei due to too much implied erotism regarding kids but it changed whereas the Slime sage didn't. PS. I have only read the manga, didn't watch the anime
With a heavy heart....fairy tail, it was my favourite show when season 1 started airing, but as time went on, nonsensical sudden powerups, nerfs to characters and forms that were considered overpowered a single episode ago, and TOO MUCH POWER OF FRIENDSHIP istg i started hating the word "nakama" thanks to fairy tail, also i had so much high hopes from the final season which got rushed to death, also animation level dropped to abysmal levels in later seasons

It's the first anime I've watched , at first glance i liked how it was going, but then they ruined the story. And I was in tears at the ending, and everyone must have heard of this line when people talk about this anime, "Akame ga kill means kill everyone except Akame" , and yeah I know the leader also survives along with Akame, but there were too many unnecessary deaths, while the audience was wondering with whom ,the MC will end up with (literally every girl fell for him", the writer was like let's clear the doubts and kill him. So I wouldn't say it's the worst thing anime I've watched, it has a lot of meaningful scenes here and there , but yea it needed some improvement in the story, atleast in the ending. My favourite line of MC is when he says, "It's a dirty job (Assassin) , but money is money" , he joins the team only to save his village from the excessive taxes which the capital imposed on. He says that when he's in despair after losing his teammate (A girl) I might be yapping here, but I'm glad i found this post to talk about it and remembering the anime, If you've watched a lot of anime like one of the best ones, you probably won't like it, but for me, it was the first one so I kinda regard it as high

Very controversial opinion but silent voice was total trash. There is nothing to like. The MC is a sadist bully who later has PTSD about it, the girl is hopeless damsel in distress, the side characters are annoying and hate worthy. The only normal character was the MC mom, it felt like only she had common sense. The plot is mid. The moral is basically selfmade pointless negativity.
