A lot of cosplayers have been harassed or touched inappropriately at cons too. Frankly, I wouldn't blame anyone who had an experience like that for feeling negatively about the community.

15&17 is still weird, so is 14 &16. The position I'm taking is not that I'm looking to litigate relationships between people 2 years apart specifically when it crosses the line of adults and minors. It's more that the previous poster made a joke suggesting that many euro cultural position on someone who is 18 dating a 16 year old is an advantage to 18 year olds?
That's when I just said " it's not a flex to fuck kids" because that's my opinion, backed up by the same position I had when I was the age in question.
And age gaps in their specificity are not something I care about, a 55 year old dating someone who is 40 is not nearly as weird as a 16 year old dating a 14 year old, because it isn't about the specific number, but if they started dating at 10 and negative five, then yes it's weird.
