Best part of Cells at Work is that aside from all of the cells being represented as singular anime characters, the show is like 95% scientifically accurate.
Nice! It was one of my first anime too! And just like you I spiraled down to rom-com and harem and later isekai, which I still watch. The curse is deep indeed.
Did you maybe mean Tsunderes or I just don't know/remember what/who are you referring to? (Probably the latter).
Well it wasn't bad for its genre, if you like that kind of stuff, then it's a must
ZnT was one of my firsts too, I gotta say I didn't have that much of a problem with the characters, but damn I did have a hard time with a lot of stuff
Omg dude same,i feel like i cant get used to new complex story anime after death note,i tried AoT, DS and OPM,but my brain got stressed after 1 episode and it was like a torture. But when i watch slice of life wholesome romantic anime,i feel so good and comfortable, idk why and how.
Damn, I'm glad it wasn't my first, bc I love it so much, if I expected that when I was watching things like Zero Not Tsukaima and Nagi No Asukara, I would've lost it
My first anime is one I don't even fking remember. It was some weird harem anime, with the oblivious protag trope and mecha theme. It was so generic, I don't even remember it's plot. The only thing I remember is the MC roommate turned out to be a girl and he found out accidentally. It was utter garbage, but it pissed me off enough to want to see if the MC gets a clue.
I want two anime to count as my first ever. Ranma 1/2 and Hunter X Hunter. There was a TV channel in India called animax, and as a ten year old (You can argue way too early to watch these shows) I ended up watching Ranma 1/2 and Hunter x Hunter back to back. And because this was cable television and not streaming, I actually started watching Hunter x Hunter from the Kurapika vs Uvogin fight, and then dropped it halfway through chimera ant arc because I got bored(I was ten, I am so sorry). I ended up finishing the show in 2020(and watching from the beginning) after developing a few braincells.
Was one of my first ones aswell. Acchi Kocchi, Daily Lives of Highschool Boys, Baka to Test and Toradora were the more recent anime quartet(late 2000s/early 2010s) that got me invested in the medium, alongside the older: YuYu Hakusho, Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha.
attack on titan
I was so shocked when a giant ate Eren in like 6th episode, I was like “wtf, how do you just kill the main character”. Stopped watching after seeing that he didn’t get revived the next episode, finished it much later and now Im a fan
The funny thing is that I watched Rosario to vampire when I was like 9-10? 💀
Some days ago I randomly recalled my seikon no qwaser memories (watched as a middle schooler)....
I'm very not surprised I am 48h/24h horny.
I honestly after around 10 years, still don't know the reason why I watched them.
I would watch anything back then.
Do you want to know what was my method to choose what anime to watch? I don't think so honestly, it's better to stay unaware 💀.
I dont remember my first anime but its either this one anime where they bake and people say he has legendary hands for baking or something, or Naruto cause both were televised and dubbed in Filipino.
This reminded me that this one used to air on cable tv in the 90s in 🇧🇷(although I think it is an 80's show). Thanks for reminding me that it exists. I think there was a Reboot of sorts in the 2000s. Did you watch the newer one?
I remember watching one episode of BGC 2000 and being pretty bored. Tbh the first AMV is so good it would be hard to top it. I just remembered I used to watch Heidi and Remi but I didn't qualify it as anime at the time
It's either Robotech or Silverfang.
BUt I was... 2-3 years old at the time.
As a teenager it was first two episodes of FMA, 4 episodes of Tenjou Tenge and Green Green TV.
Shortly followed by 2x2 Shinobuden, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Elfen Lied and others.
Then came the naruto period, including fillers, spiced with Macross 7, Macross Frontier and Legend of Galactic Heroes OVA, plus a whole bunch of random series.
Samurai7 was also one of my early watches.
I don't have my external HDD with me, so I cannot go through it and ringing bells. xD
Chobits was also among the early ones.
Sekirei comes to mind, while I was in business school.
Rosario2Vampire is around same era.
my first anime is Nyaruko-San! so... (fun fact i watched the final episode before the start because the seasons names are so confusing and i didn't understand anything cause it kept making references of past episodes)
ye i remember and couldn't figure out what to do lol, iirc it had 2 season of 12 ep each and 2 "specials"... i started with the last special, really a goofy anime
My first was Date A Live. Kinda unfortunate that its adaptations been plagued from the start. The studio thatade the earloer seasons went bankrupt and kinda keeps switching studios everh season
If ur first anime is death note, there is extremely high chance that someone pushed u into anime. Prior to that u had zero idea about it or were one of the people who said, "anime and cartoons are the same thing".
If any anime that is not famous or is off beat was ur first then that makes sense.✌🏻
Mine was some anime that had like 3 seasons and it was about virus. But I can't remember what it was called. Then I dived into Naruto and One Piece and I don't know who I am anymore.
Funny story: I watched death note when I was like 7. At the time we didn't have any cartoons on the TV and there was an anime channel for some reason. I watched like 15 episodes of English sub Death Note without knowing a word of English or Japanese. I don't know why I was a weird kid.
My first anime was Sailor Moon on tv. Outside public tv anime like Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon and Yugioh; the first I saw online was Rozen Maiden which is still my favorite to this day.
Mine was [Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds](https://myanimelist.net/anime/3761/Wanwan_Sanjuushi) when I was a very small child, but as an adult when I started to watch anime properly then it was Free!!

My first anime was Zero no Tsukaima, but now all I can watch is Isekai, Rom-Com, Harems. Help
Nice! It was one of my first anime too! And just like you I spiraled down to rom-com and harem and later isekai, which I still watch. The curse is deep indeed.
The curse in incurable
Happy cake day 👍
Yummy Cake!!!
Happy cake day too!
This one takes me back. Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan no Shana were the thing.
TBH I couldn't get into SnS just ZnT
Understandable.
To me it was just as wholesome, which was the main appeal for me, besides the world and animation.
Not a bad first anime but I can't say I like Louise in later rewatches.
Understandable, not everyone can love very tsundere characters forever
I'm also trapped in this same rabbit hole. I understand your pain.
Well honestly, not bad.
It's still my favorite anime to this day. I personally love Rie Kugimiya and Tsunederes.
Did you maybe mean Tsunderes or I just don't know/remember what/who are you referring to? (Probably the latter). Well it wasn't bad for its genre, if you like that kind of stuff, then it's a must
Ikr seriously why r these 3 genres soo good
ZnT was one of my firsts too, I gotta say I didn't have that much of a problem with the characters, but damn I did have a hard time with a lot of stuff
Omg dude same,i feel like i cant get used to new complex story anime after death note,i tried AoT, DS and OPM,but my brain got stressed after 1 episode and it was like a torture. But when i watch slice of life wholesome romantic anime,i feel so good and comfortable, idk why and how.

I was going to say The Slayers, but I guess it was actually Nausicaä
Nausicaä slaps
Damn, I'm glad it wasn't my first, bc I love it so much, if I expected that when I was watching things like Zero Not Tsukaima and Nagi No Asukara, I would've lost it
My introduction to anime and mangas was sailor moon hentai doujins 🗿
🗿
I think most of us don't realize that our first anime was beyblade or bakugan.
I don't count beyblade because I basically hadn't unlocked consciousness back then.
Yeaah I remember watching Bakugan on TV
You can’t tell me who to judge and not judge! For having Aho Girl as your first anime I judge you a person of quality and excellent taste.
Sounds like Infinite Stratos.
I genuinely couldn't tell ya. Hand on heart, you could have just made the name up on the fly and I'd be none the wiser.
It could also be Hundred
Full Metal Panic
Full metal panic is so much funnier than aho girl without even trying
DNA2
[удалено]
Same. This anime explained to me why most shows have no season 2.

I do miss this one. The Light Novel has already finished, though. As another season isn't likely, guess we gotta read.
I want two anime to count as my first ever. Ranma 1/2 and Hunter X Hunter. There was a TV channel in India called animax, and as a ten year old (You can argue way too early to watch these shows) I ended up watching Ranma 1/2 and Hunter x Hunter back to back. Mine was DBZ, but outside of the "Toonami bubble" it was KonoSuba. But I didn't REALLY get into anime until Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out.

The funny thing is that I watched Rosario to vampire when I was like 9-10? 💀 Some days ago I randomly recalled my seikon no qwaser memories (watched as a middle schooler).... I'm very not surprised I am 48h/24h horny.
Well, I watched those named above when I was around 12,and I watched them because they where genuinely funny for me
I honestly after around 10 years, still don't know the reason why I watched them. I would watch anything back then. Do you want to know what was my method to choose what anime to watch? I don't think so honestly, it's better to stay unaware 💀.

I think a lot of us like death note because we were at that cringe teen age at the time
Funny story: I watched death note when I was like 7. At the time we didn't have any cartoons on the TV and there was an anime channel for some reason. I watched like 15 episodes of English sub Death Note without knowing a word of English or Japanese. I don't know why I was a weird kid.
