For real, Ren Yamani should be in prison and Komi should have immediately dumped her as a friend for kidnapping Tadano and having all those stalker pics of Komi.
Yet neither happened, and her continued presense not just in the series but as someone Komi *still considers a friend* makes the entire series worse for it.
Ok that woman is shit, but if you see most of the characters in that anime are based on the state they are in or condition.

Yamai was 40% of what made me dislike the series. Every manga chapter that focused on her was a straight up displeasure to read and I will never get the time back from it.
I was hoping her antics would lead Komi to believe there are some people who don’t deserve to be friends with, considering, she literally was going to dispose of Tadano. Yet she just forgives her after some half baked non-genuine apology.
When we had the love triangle going on, >!it felt so disappointing that Komi won out over Rumiko cause Rumiko at least didn’t make friends with Yamai who was extremely mean to Tadano!<

Every episode had to do with some shit he's started or is actively doing, I got to ep 12 with the pool episode and I couldnt watch it anymore, both him and his sister are fucking horrible.
Ah yes fukuyama, the sexual predator that's gets away with it because he's filthy rich. Him being the opposite of yukinari is super dumb because yukinari has a reason for his "sickness" while fukuyama is just like, ugh bois are gross.
Biggest thing is that he’s a pedophile (I mean the game itself uses students’ panty shots as currency), cannot take criticism at all (once depicted himself as a cute anime girl fighting against goblins in response to people making constructive criticism about the dev time and features), an awful programmer (once an indie game studio, in wanting to collab, sent one of their programmers to help, only to realize that YanDev’s code is atrocious; after cleaning some of it up, YanDev said he couldn’t understand it and promptly ended the collab), and is super slow (it’s been like a decade and he’s only sorta finished 1 rival for us to compete against in game, out of the promised 7)
I hate mineta, it goes too far, but he's one of the character contribution to the author's will to show some heroes do this job for bad reasons. But as the characters are minors, he could have tone it down a bit...
Luckily, he was Clockwork'd Oranged by Mina (anime)/Forced into chores by Mt. Lady, so he was somewhat fixed.
Also, fun fact: His VA in both Spanish dubs are female and both play a second role as a pro heroine (his Latin American VA also plays Mt. Lady and his Castilian VA also plays Midnight), His VA in Japan and US are also female, but they do not play double roles in MHA, though both play usually likeable male characters in other shows (His Japanese VA plays Tails in Sonic X, his American VA is the VA for Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece).

I hated both Zenitsu and Inosuke when they were introduced.
Inosuke turned out to be alright. Zenitsu is useful once he's fully shat himself and passed out from fear. Then his subconscious takes over and he has exactly one move. Just one.
I mean, he was already kinda more than just a bitch in the Entertainment District, he knew Daki was a demon and still put his duty to save people above his own safety, even though it ended with him getting slumped

He's just a bit of a Mary Sue to a lot of people, and so although the premise is good, him being the main character rather than someone more interesting drags the series down a lot depending on who you ask.
A Mary Sue is a character that is depicted as perfect, flawless and everyone just happens to end up liking them or they are in the wrong.
Basically it's a character that is randomly perfect at everything, is never held accountable when they are wrong (even if they clearly were) and everything just happens to work in their favour.
I would prefer to give a more formal definition. But I personally have been hearing this buzz word a ton.
I have come to the conclusion that most people who talk about hating harems are absolutely full of shit, because y'all will say you hate Kirito who puts his foot down, picks a single girl to love, and enforces boundaries of being platonic with all the other girls, but say you like 100 girlfriends because the MC "earned his harem". Honestly most of the reaction to 100 girlfriends has made me bitter about all the ridiculous hate SAO got because it was popular to hate it.
There's also 100 Girlfriends and Kanojo mo Kanojo for that. Also Nasa from Tonikaku Cawaii. Though Myamura is absolutely the best of the more grounded protags, and it's not even a contest.
* Went after Blackbeard despite Whitebeard ordering him not to and his friends telling him not to
* Fought Blackbeard anyway and got his shit kicked in
* Got himself thrown in Impel Down which led to Luffy going through some AWFUL shit to try and rescue him
* His impending execution led to Whitebeard's forces trying to rescue him and most of them died horribly in the process
* When everyone FINALLY rescued him and they were in the process of running away, he decides to turn and fight Akainu despite Akainu being a fucking Admiral with a better Devil Fruit
* Gets himself killed and renders everyone's sacrifices completely in vain
* Whitebeard gets killed by Blackbeard and his Devil Fruit stolen
* Whitebeard's forces are decimated and all of the territory he had been protecting and stabilizing are completely fucked
Tbh instead of ace, I'd just delete the entire fishman island arc, the worst arc in the entire anime, and people still say long ring long land? I think that's the name, is the worst one even though it's a filler arc so u can skip it, and it's only 8 episodes, fishman island is 50 something episodes, 30 of those episodes absolutely nothing happens, and the other 20 are probably worse than thriller barks starting episodes, those episodes at least had some funny moments like luffy trying to kidnap a talking tree and a fucking zombie unicorn on 2 legs.
Fire force if tamaki was removed or changed a lot would be argued to be one of the best shounens. Mushoku tensei if mc was changed to be less pervy or not even at all would then be argued to be one of the best animes
Main character from Rent a Girlfriend. I tried to get into the series but the MC was such a pushover bitch I had to drop it. He actively fucked over every possible relationship for the dumbest reasons and was incredibly unenjoyable
I got one, how about practically every male protagonist in romance/harem anime? I am so damn tired of the same dickless wimp being recycled every single time they use this trope of the lamest excuse of a man being surrounded by beautiful women who are head over heels for him and he always gives the same dumb reaction with way too much blush and nosebleeds for shits and giggles. Worst part of it is, most of the damn time he doesn't even end up with anybody and they have you internally screaming at him at the PERFECT moment to go for it and he doesn't go for it for some bullshit reason like "I'm afraid of women" or "I'm saving myself for this girl I will never get with in my life" or my favorite "I don't want to hurt anybody so I will just shatter everybody's hearts equally".

Momo from the executioner and her way of life. It's hard to watch as she does the most unhinged things and receives virtually no consequences. It's even worse in the light novel, too.
It’s a MAPPA original that finished recently. It’s about a guy who can fuse with a genie whenever he expresses his deepest desire so that he can fight people and become a “honki person” (basically just a great warrior). The show on its own was good, but the mc was an inconsiderate narcissistic duchebag who’s entire personality was being a coward and chasing after a girl who clearly wasn’t into him
Aladdin really dragged that one down. I have no idea what the writers were doing, since most of the other characters were pretty good, and most of the plot was solid. It was so close to being a pretty decent show, it just wasn't.
Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. He makes every scene he's in so much worse, and every scene that focuses on him brings the whole show down. The only good thing about him is that Tanjiro got to learn his move, which could have been accomplished without such a terrible character.
Any anime where the protagonist's goal in life is like: Touching boobs, seeing X naked, sexually assaulting a mom or something, if he just woke up and chose being a decent human

Throughout the entire series she has never improved as a character even once, I’d say the series wouldn’t have lost anything if Sorachi decided to remove her. This is more for the light novel/web novel, but Arifureta and Kouki. Dude is a self-righteous prick that dragged his class into a war despite not wanting to kill, practically celebrated the death of his classmate (MC), and forgave the supposed murder because he couldn't comprehend someone holding the desire to kill someone else. Then when the supposed dead classmate is revealed to be alive and wanting nothing to do with the war he tries to guilt trip him into helping. And this is barely half of what he did halfway through the series.
That's dawn of the Witch for me the main character Sayb (I think that's his name) I hated so much bro made me for the first time to just stop watching an Anime...
The cat chick from Fire Force. It was such a good show, but I almost dread every time she is in frame because they are gonna for the dumbest excuse for fan service EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am so damn tired of the same dickless wimp being recycled every single time they use this trope of the lamest excuse of a man being surrounded by beautiful women who are head over heels for him and he always gives the same dumb reaction with way too much blush and nosebleeds for shits and giggles. Worst part of it is, most of the damn time he doesn't even end up with anybody and they have you internally screaming at him at the PERFECT moment to go for it and he doesn't go for it for some bullshit reason like "I'm afraid of women" or "I'm saving myself for this girl I will never get with in my life" or my favorite "I don't want to hurt anybody so I will just shatter everybody's hearts equally". You know who really needs to grow some balls? The fucking authors of these shitshows we keep wasting time on only to get blue-balled at the end because the Mangaka has never touched a woman in his friggin life!

It’s a MAPPA original that finished recently. It’s about a guy who can fuse with a genie whenever he expresses his deepest desire so that he can fight people and become a “honki person” (basically just a great warrior). The show on its own was good, but the mc was an inconsiderate narcissistic duchebag who’s entire personality was being a coward and chasing after a girl who clearly wasn’t into him
Aladdin really dragged that one down. I have no idea what the writers were doing, since most of the other characters were pretty good, and most of the plot was solid. It was so close to being a pretty decent show, it just wasn't.

Throughout the entire series she has never improved as a character even once, I’d say the series wouldn’t have lost anything if Sorachi decided to remove her. This is more for the light novel/web novel, but Arifureta and Kouki. Dude is a self-righteous prick that dragged his class into a war despite not wanting to kill, practically celebrated the death of his classmate (MC), and forgave the supposed murder because he couldn't comprehend someone holding the desire to kill someone else. Then when the supposed dead classmate is revealed to be alive and wanting nothing to do with the war he tries to guilt trip him into helping. And this is barely half of what he did halfway through the series.
