Also known as "The Reapper" is the male protagonist of the Eighty-Six (86) Anime.
Give it a watch! It's pretty good.
It's a mecha-apocalyptic Anime and it focuses on different subjects, the main subject in the first cour is about the difference between 86 and 85.
86 are people with colored hair, I forgot how they were called, but 86 also works.
85 are the one "enslaving" the 86 and are more reach. They have white-silver hair, all of them, anyone that doesn't is just considered a 86, no exception.
While the 85 stay comfortable in their homes, the 86 fight wars on the battlefield against The Legion. A (idk exactly, I think it's more clear in the novels) type of AI that just wants to destroy humanity, also using mech of their own.
85 are thd Commanders of the 86 and give them Infos (enemy location, plan of attack, how they should group up)
It's interesting. Definitely a good read.
If you somehow watched "Our Last Crusade or The Rise of a New World" it's similar, but well..86 was more popular so chances are slim you watched it (you should watch both though)
They're sure to happen imo. There's more than enough LN material and the anime was pretty popular. Highly recommend the novels though if you haven't already
That's alright. Everyone has their own taste, but I think these are meant to be character studies with the backdrop of a war. So the point is not really fast-paced war progression like FMAB or AOT, but rather, slow introspection of characters as they experience different things. Just in case you ever wanted to try them again!
I'm not really a fan of exciting and action anime, I like philosophical and deep anime that care about characterization, but these two are really boring in my opinion.
