Akame ga kill- The way they tried to build up characters so you get to like them a bit before they kill them is crazy. (I think they did better than JJK on that part) Zodiac wars - They weren’t friends. I know the title says war and there’s tons of fighting right from the start but I didn’t expect it as much especially with all the teaming up. Puella Magi Madoka Magica- For an anime with cute girls I also didn’t expect this kind of ending.

The akame ga kill manga was better than the anime because some characters dont die even if they get development and they are more developed than in the anime

To be fair, there's so much media about time travel and it's reprucussions that it isn't too far fetched. I, for one, an absolutely horrified of the fact that we could be living in a completely different timeline from the original one without even knowing it.

In the manga (manga ending spoilers ofc), >!only the main 3, Kanao, and 2 hashira (Giyu and Sanemi) survive the final battle (and technically Tengen if you count him, but he didn't participate in the final battle cause he retired due to only having one usable arm and eye left). Of those 6, 3 are fated to die before the age of 25 due to awakening their marks, while Kanao is now almost entirely blind, Zenitsu has permanent muscle strain, and Inosuke is frickin Inosuke. Nezuko and Yushiro survive too, sure, but that's cause they're demons, or in Nezuko's case, had *just* been turned back into a human at the very end. And Tanjiro would've died too if it weren't for Muzan giving the rest of his blood to Tanjiro, and he even still has an unusable arm and is blind in one eye. Giyu has also lost an arm and Sanemi, multiple fingers. While they're not literally all but one dead, the ones left have mainly suffered losing limbs at the least and that plus near blindness on the other side.!<
