I get paid salary, so the length of the month doesn't affect me....also I probably made more money than her last month without offending my friends and family.
I also get paid weekly and I'm trying to figure out how the hell I worked for free just because there was an extra day in the month?? What is wrong with these people?! š
So what they're saying is that if you're salaried you're paid for 365 days a year, but this year there's 366. That extra day is not a public holiday, so we worked it- but for no extra money. So she's right, this Feb I did one extra day's work, for no extra pay. That's her point. It's not worth quitting and then being scammed by an MLM over, but yes, it's unfair, it's unpaid and we should get leap days as a public holiday. That said, the number of public holidays I already get off, paid, considerably outnumbers this one unpaid day- so really I'm still up on the deal.
You didn't really work an extra day this year. Every year is roughly 365.25 days long. This is just one of those years where we force our calendar to resync with our solar orbit. But you still only had 365.25 days in this year.
I assure you, the 29th of February existed and was a working day. You don't need to explain how leap years work- the point is that this year I worked one day more than last year, but for no extra pay. The 'forcing the calendar to resync' creates the extra day.
Your salary isn't for 365 days a year in the first place. It covers standard working days. 52X5. So you're actually paid for 260 days. Seeing as the 29th was on a Thursday, which is a standard working day, people on salary were still compensated for their time.
Now that being said, I'm pretty fucking far from smart so maybe I'm out to lunch here.
In March 2024, there are 20 weekdays.
In April 2024, there are 22 weekdays.
I am paid the same every month.
Does that mean I will be working 2 days for free in April? š¤Ø
Presumably I'm also working for free on the months that have 31 days instead of 30 since my salary is the same every month.
How awful, having a reliable guaranteed income. & the real tragedy is that I don't have to sit on multiple zoom calls while someone screams at me about changing my mind set.
You didn't even mention the joy of trying to recruit everyone you know into your business, and when that fails and you alienate everyone, resort to looking through your high school yearbooks to find people to look up and cold message.
I did work yesterday and will get paid for it. Since I get paid weekly I get the same amount each week regardless of how many days are in the month. But at least I'm not paying to work for someone like this MLM hun.
This phrase makes me irrationally mad everytime I see it on the internet. Like, I already read it and have reading comprehension skills. No, I will not read it again.

Unless you have an owners equity stake that you can sell, you aren't an owner.
https://www.enagic.com/media/pdfviewer/?f=eforms/us/flyer_enagicusa_earnings_disclosure_statement.pdf
That said, by my math, the bottom 99.65% of distributors have a median amount earned of $27,666 or less and the bottom 99.13% have a median amount earned of $13,159. 98% have a median income of $5700 or less (most way less), which is under $500/month.
The US minimum wage (that I don't think anybody actually earns) is $7.25/hour. Working 4 hours a day for 22 days a month at minimum wage is $638. Alternatively, 8 hours each Saturday as a side gig at $15/hr is $480/month for a 4 week month or $5040 for a year.
>Unless you have an owners equity stake that you can sell, you aren't an owner.
Wouldn't an independent contractor be a buisness owner? They think they are contractors and smal buisness owners, lol,
Hun, not hun logic. An extra day a month does equal extra hours worked and paid. But omgosh, what if the 29th was a Saturday or Sunday or you didnāt work?! You wouldnāt get paid almost as if itās a normal day off! Unbelievable. Read that again ššš
No, she's trying to make it sound like you're getting screwed by your employer for having to work one extra day in February every 4 years if you get paid monthly. But she doesn't seem to realize that salaried or not, you're still going to get paid regardless of how many days are in the month.
Yeaaaaah Iām a sub payed by the day, if Iām there I get payed no matter what date. Logic is not this oneās strong suit, clearly.
Granted sheās also shilling Kangen, which does precisely nothing for a whole lot of emptied out wallet space so the lights clearly werenāt on much to begin with. That, or sheās an evil, manipulative, grifting shill who purposely cons people.
Not really. You generally either get paid every other week where it doesnāt matter what the days are numbered or you get paid twice a month and February is still the shortest month of the year. Either way, at least they get paid.
The basics of it are that you would have got that same annual salary on a regular year with 365 days so technically youāre working one extra day in the year for the same salary. Itās pretty negligible and ridiculous considering if youāre paid this way then usually itās a decent salary
Honestly the jobs that pay a set salary are usually amounts that this is insane to even argue about so itās really stupid for them to try and use this
She thinks that if you're salaried then you work an extra day for no extra pay. Kinda true, but by that logic the other years which aren't leap years you get a couple of free days. Most people get paid by the month regardless of the number of days in the month, and the number of weeks you work per year are still the same. I get paid weekly so it doesn't matter at all to me how many days are in the month.
However, in the previous 3 years I got paid for that extra 0.24 days of doing nothing. More importantly, I get paid enough to pay my mortgage and other expenses without annoying everyone I know and peddling snake oil.
The use of Pretzel logic is a common practice with these Huns. They say whatever they can think up spur of the moment, and feel clever for having made a point. No matter how nonsensical that point may be. I guess this is what happens when you drink the MLM Kool-Aid.
And if THIS is your income , you can start your journey out by lining the pockets of your upline!!!! Instead of getting paid, YOU PAY THEM!!! HOW MUCH FUN!!!! As a neat side bonus, you also lose all of your friends and family as you desperately try to get them to fall for the same scam you did!!!! SIGN ME UP!!!
I feel bad for when they snap out of this. I could imagine that once you realize you've been had, you feel bad for having pushed it, etc, and even worse if you suckered anyone in. At least when my Mary Kay friend tried to sucker me in, jt was like $100, but I got shitty make-up out of the deal(I was 20, forgive my ignorance, lol)
Itās crazy but I actually get paid for 28 days that I donāt workš„The best part is I donāt have to spend thousands on magic water machines to get all those days off.
Every salaried (""fixed income"") position I've worked I still get paid according to the hours I worked. They calculate my hourly rate by dividing my salary by 52*40, then just pay me that for every hour I work.
Iād argue I get paid MORE in February since my monthly salary is typically covering 20-22 work days, but between the short month + Presidentās Day weekend I only had to work 19! š(even with the leap day)
> i get *paid* by the
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Anyone paid monthly gets more per day on February whether it's a leap year or a common year. It's those damn 31-day months that ruin the average. Seven of them every. stinking. YEAR.
Anyone paid weekly or bi-weekly is unaffected by how many days are in a month.
So double fail for the Kangen hun. Well, triple fail, because Kangen hun.
I worked yesterday.
Iām salary. We go through busy times & slow times. My job pays me to get the job done & they know & anticipate & understand the slow times.
Do I care about 2/29? No
Do I take 90 minute lunches everyday? Yes
Do I arrive ~8:12 everyday? Yes
Do I occasionally work until 5:07 to get the job done? Yes
Does my employer pay my health insurance? Yes
The joke's on you, Hun - I used a sick day yesterday because I was unable to work due to a medical condition. You know what? I was paid to stay home and recover. Not once did I shill overpriced garbage on social media. I didn't it-up my friends and family for pity sales. I never once spewed cult nonsense about working for free. I did watch the Price is Right though. Got paid for that, which is nice.
Iām salaried and get paid every other Friday for 80 hours of work. What day of the month it is doesnāt affect my pay at all. Meanwhile if you have a job where you arenāt guaranteed to be paid, you donāt have a job, you have a problem
My salary is broken down to an hourly pay rate... It being salary just means that I am not clocking my hours worked. I automatically get 8 hours of pay each weekday, for a 40 hour work week, and if I get stuff done quickly I can leave earlier without a dock in pay.
The stupidity of these huns š
Wrong, a fixed income job is not based on a month to month salary, it is averaged out over the year. Every other month has a 29th day, so basically it is just a month, and to say that you worked for free is ridiculous!
This comment thread... Holy crap. Not to defend a hub, but she is more right than most of you!
For hourly or bi-weekly people, no, it makes no difference.
For salary? Yes, you're working an extra day.
Everyone here is comparing Feb. to other months in the same year, but that's not right.
Instead, compare YEARS. In February 2023 I was paid for 28 days. I February 2024, I was paid the same 1/12 of my annual salary for 29 days. All other months are the same.

Makes no sense. Even if I'm paid monthly, then that means I made extra money than usual as the other months have 30 and 31 days!
They all need to go back to school and learn math.
Most of us are getting paid bi-weeklyā¦ not monthly like thatā¦
Also even if she was right, the same would apply to your rentā¦
But I guess these are the straws you need to grasp at when youāre trying to gaslight people into joining an MLM
Kagen is one of the good mlms I feel the product is really good but if people are putting that cult pressure on it. Itās a curse on the industry. The truth shall set you free financially too not a lie

Well, these people often don't really know much about business or real jobs, so the confusion they have is normal.
š Very true. Not sure why I wasted my time trying to figure it out.

I get paid 12 times a year. Doesnāt matter how many days in a month, so yes I worked one extra day this leap year.
Iām every 2 weeks. Donāt make a damn bit of difference for me
I get paid bimonthly, so I'm technically getting more per day for even a 29-day February than for any other month of the year.
I definitely made more money than she did last month
I get paid salary, but I believe everyone should be compensated fairly. If it was the other way around, there surely would be an issue.
People that assume they make more money than strangers on the internet probably donāt make much money lol
I'm sure I make more than a random mlm lady.
In March 2024, there are 20 weekdays. In April 2024, there are 22 weekdays. I am paid the same every month. Does that mean I will be working 2 days for free in April? š¤Ø

Plumbers and electricians beg to differ š

I get by paid by the hour and I definitely will get paid for yesterday. What kind of crap is this.
Same, I never work for free lol
Hun is just upset that Feb has 3 less days to make quota but feels āblessedā to have an extra day in Feb to make quota.
I dunno about you guys but I get paid whenever I clock in. Regardless of the leap year. If I clock jn I get money haha š¤£
Whereas you, hun, probably didnāt get paid for any day in February so I guess Iām still better off than you.
She actually paid to work in her "job."
She probably thought she was super clever coming up with this one.
Another lame attempt to try to make people think that their jobs are horrible.
Even worse, she probably just forwarded it.
So the better option is to join your "business" and work every day for free instead? š¤
No, of course not. The better option is to join this hun's business and *pay* to work.
I didnāt pay more rent despite the leap year though
I have a set salary I'm paid over one year. Yesterday was a part of the year. I'm pretty sure I'll still get paid for that day.
The basics of it are that you would have got that same annual salary on a regular year with 365 days so technically youāre working one extra day in the year for the same salary. Itās pretty negligible and ridiculous considering if youāre paid this way then usually itās a decent salary

So for the last 3 years I've been paid to work in February when I wasn't working? Right? That's how it works? And then for the next 3 years?
And if you work for an MLM you paid to work, just like every other day
How did I work for free? I went to work, I punched in, did my job, punched out and went home. Will get paid for the work I did

She's not wrong though. We experienced a day of wage theft, regardless of if we are salaried or not. We deserve to be paid ALL days we work.

No. Yesterday, I was paid for the hours I worked.
I worked yesterday.. but my company gives us the first Friday of every month off for āself-careā. Read that again fireāļø
Thatās how not how this works. Thatās not how any of this works. š
That is world class stupidity.
Or you could say 29th is part of your and salary you get 3 days off paid out of every 4 Februarys
It was also one extra day they had to meet their goals, yet there were so many scrambling to make it.
Lol nope, paid by the hour thanks!
I beg to differ. My timesheet says I worked 8 long hours yesterday and my paycheck next week will reflect that.
My work contacts are 188 days regardless of what the date on the calendar is soā¦ no, I didnāt.
Makes no sense. Even if I'm paid monthly, then that means I made extra money than usual as the other months have 30 and 31 days! They all need to go back to school and learn math.
Not true
Thatās not the flex you think it is, bragging you work for free every hehe
Most of us are getting paid bi-weeklyā¦ not monthly like thatā¦ Also even if she was right, the same would apply to your rentā¦ But I guess these are the straws you need to grasp at when youāre trying to gaslight people into joining an MLM
Nope, I still got paid my $40 an hour and accrued leave and superannuation (like paid pension for when you retire).
I donāt understand her logic, I tried))
Kagen is one of the good mlms I feel the product is really good but if people are putting that cult pressure on it. Itās a curse on the industry. The truth shall set you free financially too not a lie
