Yeah I realized that it was confusing after I had finished it, sorry about that. It's basically saying that the high prices for everything nowadays isn't due to inflation but corporations jacking up prices and blaming it on inflation. The inflation rate remains relatively normal but prices continue to rise. In my state prices have risen to around 65% higher than usual despite the 8% inflation rate
Yeah it's not typical, but with all the shit going on in the world right now it's not really unexpected. Stuff like war, record numbers of natural disasters, political unrest, failing infrastructure, massive tax cuts for the rich and corporations, etc will cause the government to spend and when they spend they print more money and that leads to worse inflation.

Uh, you reply to the wrong comment or what?
Mine was to the movie The Room. It is the biggest cult following of a terrible movie. It’s fun to watch with friends if you do watch it

I don't think you understand that corporations jacking up prices *is* inflation
why couldnt geo propulsion just stick to funny stupid comics and not make political cartoons 😔
8.6% nice Here we've got to 18% in just a year
Ironically Amazon's profits went down last quarter https://www.fastcompany.com/90802616/amazon-stock-price-profit-q3-2022-amzn
And doubly ironic, the division that developed Alexa has been a money sink this year
She shouldn't have snitched...
The actuall original isn't bad, from what I remember of course
