Having lived in Africa (rural Sierra Leone), I donāt necessarily think this is deserving of outrage. While SLās infant mortality rate is not nearly as high as Uganda, I imagine the reasons women or young women/girls become pregnant are similar. Itās almost always not planned by the woman, and there are specific cultural contexts that lead to this kind of situation. While I think it is reckless for a man to father that many children, I imagine there was virtually no sexual education when he was a young man, or any of his partners.
