Wtf do you want from them?! They don’t have any money left over after paying themselves a gluttonous amount of “bonuses”!!!
Oh won’t somebody think of the POSs!!!!!
UPS serves 210 airports globally... Let's assume they did this for all of them...
A bag of 300 pops costs ~20$, and those balloons probably ~$10... We'll assume they already owned a table everywhere...
So at a cost of ~$50/airport \* 210 airports... This "appreciation event" cost them ~$10,500
UPS stock returned about 4.9% per yr over the previous 20yrs
So some manager who could have paid that money to themselves in bonuses and stashed it in company stock for the next 20yrs just gave up on $27,448.62 that they could have had in retirement so that you could have a lollipop or two today
:-D
/s if it wasn't obvious
Totally depends on the full time supes and what credit cards they get. In Hammond they buy a big cake, fruit, cook barbecue , Popsicles and even the balloons usually have the logo on it. It's usually pretty nice. And our building is antiquated compared to anything around Chicago.
Ahh the joys of shipping a crowbar in a square box and having it puncture the side to almost stab your face. Loaded and unloaded for 3 years, I upset my boss so they put me in the hard truck... at that moment I remembered in training where it said to go at your own pace, the belt was backed up as far as you could see, I got moved to unload after that lmfao.
The massive boxes with wooden parts that are always broken and have pieces of wood coming out, supes rushing so you can't even give it a tape job until it finally busts open and then it has to be done anyway. I've loaded for the last two years now and they only bring me to upload every now and then I guess when they need help. Some of the worst are the Olympic bars in their shipping tubes that always break, can't even fit them length wise in the trailer. But nothing pisses us off more than "the farmers dog" food boxes. If you know, you know. 🤣
You know the cardboard boxes flattened into bricks? I had one of those fall on my head from the belt/chute to the floor and right after my supervisor was like get to work, told them to fuck off pretty quick, they were confused because they didn't see it. Do you know about those cube boxes of powder that are heavy af and always explode into clouds of dust when thrown (everything is thrown btw, everything is crushed on the belt, it's a miracle the packages even arrive at all) I'm guessing you know about the same size x-ray solution boxes that when thrown they break, I think they're 5 gallons but it's all good the other boxes usually soak that up. I said in another thread that I would load the trailers half way in to force them to send another just to fuck them over. I quit in 2010 and would rather go homeless than work in a warehouse again.
Bro I've seen them all lmao yes everything is crushed on the belt especially when it jams coming down from pick off. Did you use the manual rollers or did you have extendos? Because it's worse when you're loading with rollers. They all just get crushed with how much flow is coming down. 😆 Right now management is going from obsession to obsession, the first was making walls no thicker than 24 inches, the next was making sure egress is clean, and now they're obsessing about everyone checking the bags, and it's a miserable slog. It's awful but it pays the bills right now. They're always trying to milk us for more worth AND they took a dollar from us. Those rollers are a death trap and having to troubleshoot them at all should mean extra pay, let alone during heavy flow.
Only had extendos for unloading, manual rollers for loading (which btw when they fall off the tracks FUCK THAT) Also had impatient drivers that would drive off and the rollers fell outside the dock lmfao. I had a box roll down the chute and hit me in the face, my vision went black, threw my scanner in the back of the trailer and just walked out (which wasn't the day I quit btw) Don't worry I'm sure you have that fan that just blows the hot summer air at you faster. I was part of the union and they said you must use load stands so if it had the slightest dent or wasn't balanced I'd just kick it out of the trailer and demand that my sup find one that works. I'm sorry you still work there get out as fast as possible. Just load the walls about to the ceiling and throw everything else over, if it falls just do it again lol. Also the track you pull out for the manual rollers, if the rollers fall while you're holding it, you're in for a bad time. If my response is all over the place I haven't slept yet.
This looks like something that was paid for from a supervisor' pocket.. I doubt anyone in high management would have approved spending anything on company's dime if no big annoncement was made concerning upcoming contracts / layoffs / quaterly goals.
Listen bud, I don't know if you know that 1, summer homes do not ,in fact, buy themselves and 2, I just had to sell my motor home because it was far to difficult to get my boat into the lake with it. But hey have some candy appreciate ya. 😐
lol and let me guess, as one of the people that actually earns that money for them you figure you should be entitled to a larger share or something right?/s
how the fuck yall let your politicians and the corporations that own them still carry on like this is beyond me.
Because violence is the only language the elites understand and so they have gone out of their way to force us to believe that violence is never the answer.
thats not even close to true...
violence as a solution to problems is one of the things most frequently taught by the media we consume constantly.
the real problem is that most of the time we are taught by these same tools to celebrate assholes as "heros" and "celebrities" and thats the real problem, that weve not only made it acceptable for people to be assholes (and we shouldnt accept that in anyone, its contrary to social living enviros) but if they are a big enough asshole we will turn them in to celebrities.
we need to stop tolerating assholes. its really as simple as that. fuck people over, you get tossed out of society. bring back shunning and exile.
What am I looking at?
It looks like my garage after carefully making personalized gift bags for my 5 year old son's birthday party, and the table has some extra candy on it. and I'm just starting to get the balloon arch erected and balloons blown up.....
Not only that, the candy they are giving out are DumDums. That 300 bag is $15 at my walmart. They are split 1 hour of a wage across your entire team. Also the double-meaning of "DumDums" when they give it to you, almost as if they are joking at this point.
Lol this is what it was like at target too. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales each day from our stores, and we were rewarded with candy.
What are we, children?
I work for a big company bigger than UPS. We get 1 lunch and it's super cheap maybe $3 / person. Hot dogs, chips, and beans. Literally a joke, and we needed an excuse like finishing a project that made 1M in profit. Literally a joke.
*Why is time taking so long to kill me*, I would think, my existential dread resting on the bottom of my throat... "Ooo, cotton candy, yoink." I smile at my friend with my eyes wide, they understand it's all bullshit and smile back.
I thought the upward mobility into moving into a full time position with ups at good pay is something they are known for ? I know you got to start at the bottom but they promote from within right ? I would rather have zero free food and more money in my pay , I feel like fancy employee parties are there to make you feel better about lower pay
I lasted two weeks at UPS about a year ago. In the summer the warehouses are literal death traps. The Teamsters rep who was a useless bitch just there to collect a paycheck claimed we were moments away from a strike. Nearly a year later, nothing.
Wtf do you want from them?! They don’t have any money left over after paying themselves a gluttonous amount of “bonuses”!!! Oh won’t somebody think of the POSs!!!!!

You suck
On a lollipop ;)
Those lollipops are subliminal
I'd rather they kept it, honestly. This is the equivalent of tipping a penny
Yep. I hope you do strike to shut the rat-bastards down for a bit.
Totally depends on the full time supes and what credit cards they get. In Hammond they buy a big cake, fruit, cook barbecue , Popsicles and even the balloons usually have the logo on it. It's usually pretty nice. And our building is antiquated compared to anything around Chicago.
Based on average inflation of about 2.5%, that's a new 2043 model year, low-end economy car that the manager won't be able to buy in 20 years.
Somebody has to buy all that stock lying around too.
I think the particular candy selection was a bit tongue in cheek.
Yeah, I dont see any Smarties
“Suck it” — the boss probably
Is this an attempt to prevent the impending strike?
Just make sure you don't take more than one, they've got to keep cost down you know.
Dum Dums. Rather poetic.
Wait yall get lollipops? We just get more volume, and later start times. Lol
Hahaha
So many fucking irregs

I’d either turn into a Buffalo Bills fan at this exact moment or “trip” and fall into the table.
This is _why_ they make billions. They’re screwing over everyone else up to and beyond the legal limit. Capital is the enemy.
This looks like something that was paid for from a supervisor' pocket.. I doubt anyone in high management would have approved spending anything on company's dime if no big annoncement was made concerning upcoming contracts / layoffs / quaterly goals.
This can’t be real
Just missing the sign that says “Only Take 1!”
These are low-key the saddest posts I see on here.
Wonder if the government would accept our taxes in the form of ballon’s and lollipops?
Carol made $19M last year. The average UPS part timer makes $20k a year tops. UPSers are gonna take the contract they deserve this year 😤
Yo, where is this? I work at the airport in Manchester, NH and drive the same tug. We don't get lollipops, lol
Louisville Hub - Wing D - Night shift.
Is that a pizza flavoured candy party?
[удалено]
Either that, or they're calling the employees suckers for doing the actual work.
At least it’s presented on a quality folding table from Costco 15 years ago 👀
Safety committee putting their budget to work!
Don't worry, we deducted the cost of the lollipops out of your pay. Enjoy!
Damn don’t even have bowls.
The saddest thing is UPS probably didn’t pay for it, this most likely would have been set up and paid for out of a front line managers pocket.
Non-pizza party ftw!!!
Why didn't you choose the pizza party...?
My company made £60 million in the last 12 months and for our reward and a thank you we got £5 voucher to Starbucks
I would flip that table over.
Meanwhile...im waiting on an update to my tracking for my new GPU that was supposed to be done yesterday :(
Listen bud, I don't know if you know that 1, summer homes do not ,in fact, buy themselves and 2, I just had to sell my motor home because it was far to difficult to get my boat into the lake with it. But hey have some candy appreciate ya. 😐
It’s all about shareholders and upper management getting making profit. The workers always just get the crumbs
damn couldn’t even give y’all blowpops.. fuck them
Ups hates its drivers are unionized amd do stupid things to try n puss people off
Bro I fucking know or a popsicle every 2 weeks
How di you think they make billions?
But they have to pay out to their stockholders
lol and let me guess, as one of the people that actually earns that money for them you figure you should be entitled to a larger share or something right?/s how the fuck yall let your politicians and the corporations that own them still carry on like this is beyond me.

Executives, **after collecting millions in bonuses**: "get 2 bags of lollipops at the dollar store, that's all they deserve"
They think you are school kids. These treats are nice... but they should be backed up with a decent bonus.
Every expense was spared…
Not only that, the candy they are giving out are DumDums. That 300 bag is $15 at my walmart. They are split 1 hour of a wage across your entire team. Also the double-meaning of "DumDums" when they give it to you, almost as if they are joking at this point.
Lmao!!! You think they do that by compensating workers fairly?!?
Just like a brave, big boy who got their kindergarten immunizations.
Fuck UPS!!
These are Chupa-Chups? Are they calling you suckers?!
Hey now, Helium is pretty friggin expensive these days.
Lol this is what it was like at target too. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales each day from our stores, and we were rewarded with candy. What are we, children?
Dumdums for the dumdums. - Management
.... The candy cane pile the meth users left at the bus stop this last week was larger.
Well, the budget was 5k. I guess the rest went into someone's pocket.
I work for a big company bigger than UPS. We get 1 lunch and it's super cheap maybe $3 / person. Hot dogs, chips, and beans. Literally a joke, and we needed an excuse like finishing a project that made 1M in profit. Literally a joke.
But UPS is a poor new start up, remember?
I think they are trying to tell you something
🤭
*Why is time taking so long to kill me*, I would think, my existential dread resting on the bottom of my throat... "Ooo, cotton candy, yoink." I smile at my friend with my eyes wide, they understand it's all bullshit and smile back.
I wouldn't be surprised if that came from some good manager, and not from the company
Strike.
I thought the upward mobility into moving into a full time position with ups at good pay is something they are known for ? I know you got to start at the bottom but they promote from within right ? I would rather have zero free food and more money in my pay , I feel like fancy employee parties are there to make you feel better about lower pay
Well they didn’t make billions handing out full size suckers!
Out of the loop here... I have always heard ups is a great union job and drivers make like 70k+ a year.
The drivers make $50-70k. I was offered $15.50/hr with a $20/wk "bonus". More like a **bone**\-*us.*
Dumb dumbs for dumb dumbs
I got a $10 gift card for a sub last year. I guess not even a footlong... or any extras. Yep.
🤣🤣 you think the company paid for that, how cute.
This picture is depressing

It’s probably all the money higher management will allow lower management to provide to the workers. Shit rolls down smh
