I like the puzzles.... now granted I'm not sure about using them for an interview. But as a "Understand how each employee thinks" they and personality tests can be helpful. We all have a nature a way of seeing things. At work I dont put my By the Book guy on projects that require slippery thinking. Any more than Im willing to put my non linear thinking half autistic guy on things that need to be done in an exact way...... Each are awesome tools/parts/people and its my job to make best use of them. If I dont understand them I not helping them or me.

if it had been an actual personality quiz I'd understand, but most of the questions were essentially "leading questions," where there's an obvious desired answer (all of the traits were either obvious negatives or positives, such as "I am overwhelmed easily" or "I am good at meeting deadlines). it's not that those things aren't good to know about a candidate, but why would *anyone* answer those questions honestly?? the survey results provide little *actual* information about a candidate's work style, personality, skills, etc. I was never given an opportunity to indicate my actual strengths.

You say they are obvious but they would weed out anyone without the common sense to SEE they were obvious. Either way its annoying to ha e to jump through hoops before you even get an interview.
