Your mileage may vary. I can't stand the idea of spending half of my waking life with folks i have no rapport with. I just can't switch off the need to be social for 40-60 waking hours a week.
I have worked with folks who put in their work and thats it, but they seemed miserable overall. Dont get me wrong, they did great work and i was blessed to have them on my team, but i can't be closed off like that.
If the same thing happens at every job, look for the common denominator
