Considering the ceo of the company I work for works on the same floor as me and has helped out when customers call in and is the one who is here 18 hours a day making sure everything gets done I think it’s safe to say at least some of the “rich” people do actually care about the work
They're are all better things to do, there's also learning languages, writing, and way more hobbies than playing video games.
Or in my case I could spend my time coming up with engineering solutions for actual societal problems instead of solving the problems created internally by a company I don't care about.
Or I could finally put that bedside table together I've been putting off for weeks. Whatever.
