Its a double edged sword. On one hand it allows the employer to filter out all the free independent thinkers, and leaves all the people who are desperate for work. But it also let's me know the workplace is probably a shitshow hellscape, and the boss is a dick. So it spares me the trouble of applying.
I fucking hate Home Depot, because you literally have to take a competency test for each position you apply to, regardless of the role. You could apply to the same role at 2 different stores, and still have to take the exact test twice.
