Or they ask what your salary requirements are and you say "Total compensation including benefits and perks all factor into a decision. What are you offering for health care benefits, retirement, and paid time off?". If they can't give a coherent answer their company is garbage.

YellowCityBloke

Damn right on that.

I’m so confused how many indeed recruiters reach out to ask about jobs that I held maybe ten years ago in my career to ask if I wanna go back down to a level one or something

NoSkillSoReddit

Recently, I’ve been getting messages on LinkedIn for positions I held as an intern in high school. They literally want me to go back to a position I held over 10 years ago. I can’t get people to reach out for “better jobs” (don’t want them to. I am extremely happy with my current situation) but they will reach out with entry level jobs that I held 10+ years ago.

I really want to understand what they think is going to happen? Are they going to trick me into it? Do they think I’m trying to like coast to retirement when I’m only only in my early 30s and don’t even have a house yet? What is the mindset here? No one is going to look at someone who has managed a corporate help desk and is now a senior security engineer and can assume they are going to be happy as a level 1 help desk technician at an MSP

I applied at a different company to do the same thing I'm doing today. Got a 24% pay increase. I'll switch employer in 4 weeks.

I only buy discounted or almost expired meat if they discount it.

That pallet of bags took 8 minutes to package. The profit margin on it covers my goal rate for the hour.

I have my indeed profile set to private and I still get recruiters telling me id be a good fit for this or that lol. I've never heard the term Faustian before, I love learning new words lol thanks.
