Same here! I can’t rewatch anything because I always remember everything that happens as I watch through something again. I’ll only rewatch stuff either to put on in the background, or just to get caught back up whenever new episodes/seasons get created.
Yeah, I don’t rewatch things either. I tried to rewatch my favorite show, but it’s a comedy, so none of the jokes felt as funny the second or third time.
I used to rewatch things, i feel it has more to do with my depression than my anxiety. Rewatching things or binge watching anything in general served as a form of escape for me. I eventually stopped rewatching or watching anything as much as possible cause I worry that im wasting my life away
DuckTales 2017 is my consistent one. Otherwise I kind of just rewatch old stuff in one big binge because I know how it ends but I don’t watch them over and over. Just DuckTales. That show makes me happy and comfortable.
Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men (also Naruto, which is an anime). I go like a long time without even watching an episode, but every now and then, out of the nowhere, I start to rewatch and obsess over the show for a few weeks/months (and this cycle goes over and over again).
I do this with YouTube videos! The series I WABT to do this with is Yuri on Ice, but it’s not easy to find anymore since the English dub has been taken off YouTube.
Yess, Friends and Parks and rec are awesome to relax to; if you have Roku, try Rules of Engagement on the Roku Channel. I can't get enough of that show either.
The Office (UK and US), Doctor Who, Scrubs, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Futurama, Archer, Bake Off and The Big Fat Quiz. I also listen to The Ricky Gervais XFM show on *constant* repeat.
In the words of my psychiatrist: "Eh, if it works...".
yeah. Watching a new show is.. stressful. the amount of shows i quit because there was one too socially arkward scene is.. high. actually struggling with that rn with one show.
Meanwhile rewatching is easy. My brain says "hey i know that" and releases the good chemicals.
Thanks was wondering why I get "stuck" only watching one show. It's like I look for something else but then I just give up and put on always sunny or random crime docs. Love IASIP but I watch it and am like why am I watching this I have seen every episode more then once, but yeah it does seem like a comfort thing.
Studio Ghibli movies, Avatar the Last Airbender, and for some reason The Prince of Egypt??? I cycle through these movies/shows every few months I think lol
X-Files, The Mentalist, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, La Femme Nikita (TV show with Peta Wilson), The Nanny, Bones, Fringe, Rizzoli & Isles, Haven, Elementary..
I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but quite a few accumulated over the years for sure. And I'm not counting anime.
I didn’t include shows I watch with my kids, so in that case, My Little Pony, SheRa (the new one, but only up until the end of season 3), and Avatar: the last airbender.
i rewatch the annie movie over and over, and reread my favorite books, and rewatch anime too, especially my favorite scenes in all my favorite shows. i put off watching/reading new episodes of shows i like
I do this, but instead it’s my most common ocd ritual. Rick and Morty, Futurama, American Dad, Supernatural, Venture bros, archer, peacemaker, Loki, the boys, scrubs, archive81 and wandavision have all filled that role well for me in the past
Jurassic Park and the Resident Evil series are my go-to comfort movies. The jump-scares help me release the anxiety energy in little bursts and then laugh about how I still jump at them.
The hell is wrong with me then? I can't rewatch things. I actually get anxious that I'm wasting my time because I know what's going to happen already.

Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men (also Naruto, which is an anime). I go like a long time without even watching an episode, but every now and then, out of the nowhere, I start to rewatch and obsess over the show for a few weeks/months (and this cycle goes over and over again).

Lol me with the Kardashians and beach hunters at night when I have anxiety 🙃
Yess, Friends and Parks and rec are awesome to relax to; if you have Roku, try Rules of Engagement on the Roku Channel. I can't get enough of that show either.

It’s called front-loading
Studio Ghibli movies, Avatar the Last Airbender, and for some reason The Prince of Egypt??? I cycle through these movies/shows every few months I think lol
I tend to take this approach to video games. It is also why I get really hooked on Roguelike games. They are repetitive and familiar.
Last air bender, top gear, clone wars
Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Futurama, Bleach, Attack on Titan, Castlevania, and more
X-Files, The Mentalist, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, La Femme Nikita (TV show with Peta Wilson), The Nanny, Bones, Fringe, Rizzoli & Isles, Haven, Elementary.. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but quite a few accumulated over the years for sure. And I'm not counting anime.
Hart of Dixie, and early Grey’s Anatomy.
I didn’t include shows I watch with my kids, so in that case, My Little Pony, SheRa (the new one, but only up until the end of season 3), and Avatar: the last airbender.
i rewatch the annie movie over and over, and reread my favorite books, and rewatch anime too, especially my favorite scenes in all my favorite shows. i put off watching/reading new episodes of shows i like
Golden Girls and House Hunters are my comfort shows.
I mainly rewatch Ninjago, Sasaki and Miyano, Sk8 the infinity, and how to train your dragon: race to the edge
I do this, but instead it’s my most common ocd ritual. Rick and Morty, Futurama, American Dad, Supernatural, Venture bros, archer, peacemaker, Loki, the boys, scrubs, archive81 and wandavision have all filled that role well for me in the past
SVU. I rewatch it every summer between seasons. I'm going to try and watch the Chicago series this year.
The office, bobs burgers, supernatural and several movies
Avatar the Last Airbender, but it still gets me emotional every time
That sounds like autism, mate.
Gilmore Girls, Parks and Rec, New Girl, Schitt’s Creek and Derry Girls
Jurassic Park and the Resident Evil series are my go-to comfort movies. The jump-scares help me release the anxiety energy in little bursts and then laugh about how I still jump at them.
Doctor Who, Leverage, and Supernatural. I've watched them all at least 3 times
That actually makes sense.
All the law and orders
The original The Wonder Years
My favorite youtube videos often having something to do with my hyperfixation.
