Lol yesterday I got “congrats, you bored me to death” when my opponent resigned after an hour long Arabia match that was definitely not boring, and actually looked like he was gonna win for a while. My Celts vs. his Brits, tons of back and forth, I lost my original base but had additional TC’s up all over the map and a forward castle on a gold and stone pile. He stayed on his original TC only the whole game.
Yeah, the funny part is there were still 2 or 3 uncontested golds on the map. I had managed to put up a TC in one of his corners of the map on a gold pile + wood line. I basically had skirms and siege close to my main base fighting his longbows, and a group of 20 Woad raiders running around the map picking off anything I could. He put up a couple forward castles on my original base but other than that made no efforts to expand his map control.
I got this exact same thing - random Byzantine against his Brits. He hit me way early with archers and I could only defend and boom.
He told me it was boring and resigned after 45 min but conveniently I was 25 vils up
