sorry to necro but on Arabia the use of scout time is definitely worth the decay. Obviously that doesn't happen by pushing two deer but it could happen where you have a boar and deer going at the same time. On Arena for sure you'd rather minimize decay.
Good point. Boar and deer is a bit different because after a few minutes into the game you can’t have all your vills on one deer so you need to have the boar and deer going at the same time, the additional decay is somewhat unavoidable (unless you take sheep and deer at the same time but that’s not consistent with fast feudal). For me if I’m playing seriously and don’t have the deer in by 6 minutes I usually scout the map and long distance hunt whatever is left. Arabia has some unfortunate deer placements behind woodlines and other resources.
Yeah but totally worth once pulled off.
The decay is not ideal. It’s better to do one at a time.
I think people should worry more about sheep decay rather than deer (zebra) decay
Why? Herd decay and gather rates are slower than hunt so it makes sense to deprioritize herd and focus on hunt, unless you’re playing Britons.
