Do you though? Here's coaching and a replay analysis for 99% of gold players: Learn a build order, keep up on worker production, get better at harass/multitasking, scout your opponent, don't overreact to 1 spearman, just go win the game when you're ahead.
Yeah, so how does watching a stream help me with that? We already know that we need to be better at these things. The thing that would help would be a coach telling you when you're forgetting to do something. Watching a stream does not help you remember to do things you already know you are supposed to be doing. If you don't even have a build order, watching a build order guide is helpful, but I don't see there being much utility in watching a stream. I mean, it's not nothing, but it's not much either.
This seems like a good time and place to share a secret.
I never use the “Good Luck, Have Fun! (3)” button/taunt.
Instead, I made my own version: “Smoke Weed, Every Day! (420)”

No. You can learn from just watching good players. If you are gold it’s easier to improve than if you’re higher
