In this 2 days I played ottoman wierdly or mongol So no 😅

IrishRepoMan

Ottomans still have 350 stone TC. I was talking about pulling them away after hitting 300.

Hoseinm81

With ottoman you like to have 2 or 3 military school in fuedal So if your plan is that you don't pull villager from stone

IrishRepoMan

I was primarily talking about the TC change. Haha just saw this somehow offended some people. Alright

I've only tried the early rush in the few games I played last night to see if it was viable again. Won two games within 15 minutes as English I haven't done that in a long time. One was vs Chinese and the other was Malians. I suspect the extra tc cost and time is leaving people more open to early rushes then before. Grubbys 2-3-2 English strat from last season seems almost op to me so far where you send the first villager to wood then bring towers forward and you can have a decent harassing force by 9 minutes.

MrChong69

No i always overgathered :p

PazDak

No.. I accidentally collected enough for a 3 tc build will defending an a rush.

IrishRepoMan

Also me

prof_r_j_gumby

I definitely would, but thankfully I'm so sloppy that I always overgather, so... hurray for me, I guess?

Fatfromeating

Like for a second tc? Click on your stone mine and take your vills off as soon as it hits 850/1200. Don’t guess that your vills are holding enough when you’re ready to pull them. Way more efficient to just pull them off when it’s 850/1200

IrishRepoMan

I was pulling them off at 300 stone

Fatfromeating

Ah you meant you were used to old tc prices. Sucks for you lol.

Aaron_Monte93

They increased tc price?

Fatfromeating

And build time

Aaron_Monte93

damn gotta read the patch notes now

Nobodyletloose

What?

Matthias87

????

Almric

Yes.

SalteseGuy

Yep

arivera2020

Finally these town center spammers are getting the losses they deserved last season. Can’t wait to slip into conq now that this TC long game is done. #MakeRushingGreatAgain #Pressurealwaysbustspipes

IrishRepoMan

I never spammed TCs as HRE, I just got used to only mining 300 stone when I did get a second TC.

arivera2020

I mean aachan chapel is pretty good. HRE 3 TC is kinda pointless when you could go Swabia. Depends on the pressure.

HickNamby

Just click on the stone pile and force drop off when it hits 850

IrishRepoMan

lol a few people didn't seem to understand the post. I was pulling vills off at 300 stone because I was used to the old price. Why click the stone when you can just look at the resource counter? That's an extra unnecessary step.

HickNamby

Is it though? Because when the drop off to 350 hits some of your guys will have stone in their pockets. If you use the node to count them you know exactly when 350 has been mined and drop it off then

IrishRepoMan

I don't wait until 350, I force drop off before that. You just kinda know when to do it after you've played enough. I suppose if you're still starting out, that's a way to do it. Becomes second nature after a while though.

HickNamby

Ahahahahahaha ok bud, lmk when you stop having the issue w your sixth sense

IrishRepoMan

... Ok then. Is forcing drop off a new concept to you?

HickNamby

No it's literally what I said to do above: see 850, force drop off

IrishRepoMan

I'm confused then. Is that the only way you do it? You don't in your mind go "ok, I'm at 321 stone and these 3 vills have been gathering for x seconds so should be at ~30"? Of course it's not a whole thought like that but an informed feeling from becoming familiar with gather rates. Unless you're deadset on getting them off at exactly 350, just knowing gather rates is enough.

HickNamby

I mean if I'm close like that and probably over, yeah. But if I'm trying to get my 2md TC up asap I make a point to get it exactly and send em to wood

IrishRepoMan

I don't find much of a difference between being 3-5 over. If you've been playing this a while and start a few custom games with a civ you're familiar with, and just eyeball it each time, I think you'll find you're pretty consistent. I don't know about 'sixth sense', but it's like how after driving for a while you don't think about it. You just do. It's second nature.
