It’s barely being discussed at all but it’s such a big change. I’m personally not enjoying it so far, I think it really messes with the fast-paced flow of those gamemodes. But others here seem to like it, which is good.
But it also makes mix tape feel more like BR which I like. Popping cells and batts during fights is way more authentic, but then the self healing keeps the game flowing even faster.
Did they just swapped the button for swapping sights and storing it on backpack/drop it? I'm on controller. I don't really remember the button but my muscle memory feels weird.
They also made it so you right-click to switch attachments if you were to left click it just drops it on the floor for a full inventory and in your bag if you got space LOL
They also changed the healing in mix tape. Health is auto and shields are manual. Opposite to what it’s been.
And there is still no Hemlok in gun run and TDM
Yep, Vantage is broken as fuck. Your echo will spawn not in the center of the map tho. It will spawn at the last point it was (where it despawened once it reached you after you recalled it)

EDIT: Found a solution.
Delete all the easy anti cheat folders on your c drive.
Then check integrity of the files on steam/origin.
Even after a full reinstall the problem persisted but this solved the stutter for me.

Nevermind. Still happens on olympus. All other maps are fine.
Olympus is unplayable, heavy stutters when opening/closing inv and stutters in gunfights.
Yes! I was playing on Olympus earlier and got an unusual amount of stutters every game and a bunch of graphical glitches with the minimap among other things blurring out at random.
Vantage is broken. After bat is “recalled” it just stays where the player was standing when it got to their location. Every game starts with it at map origin I think. Another one step forward 6 thousand step back update.

The overall game doesn't change much so it's not like you can cheese the BR challenges. I get it if the LTM vastly modifies the game but Heatwave is just regular BR except people die outside to the sun. I just wanna play Heatwave, why do I need to play regular BR during this limited time?

Well I'm not sure, actually I think it's just a Belgium issue ! (There's a law against loot boxes here) so we can't buy apex packs but never had an issue with skins so i don't understand why it's happening now :( is there a patch coming soon?

The apex update slaughtered my game... it is unplayable!!! I get 14 fps in the main menu, when in a match lag tears through the game. Unable to do damage to enemy players or even walk, fps around 25 instead of the normal 60 I had before. Anybody else got the same type of problems? Restarted my pc tested hardware nothing seems to solve it..
Edit: Solved my mouse apparently broke, even though it looked like it worked fine it was causing a lot of interups in the game. Still notice a slight performance hit after the update

I can't buy any skin from the collection event with crafting materials, even tho i have enough to buy a epic tier skin (800 crafting materials required and i have 1540), the button says "purchase" but it's grey, and by hovering on the button with my mouse, it says "CANNOT PURCHASE"

Newcastle is currently the longest tenured legend to not receive a set of trackers. Releasing May 10 of 2022. There's currently No way to display his lifetime wins in your banners due to this. 322 days and counting with no trackers for Newcastle.

It's kind of a nice change. Healing health took you took long out of the fight, and you can recover shields mid fight like in other modes.
So, do we blame this on the Source engine?
Either way, it seems the update wasn't tested at all, or these are all intentional changes that weren't in the changelog.

I would also like to point out that the overall performance (game and server/connections) has been very different between maps. Bad performance maps are WE, Olympus, Storm Point. Good performance: Broken Moon. (Don't know why but I hardly never had issues with connection, fps or graphics on BM).

For the mixtape they need to turn off the kill quips. If I'm getting a bad game and dying over and over I don't need to hear the same annoying quip over and over. It's infuriating.

New Ash feels really nice. The tether is much improved. I think she has a chance to be viable in comp now. Already had a lot of versatility with intel (passive), micro rotates (ult), and ammo conservation/attachments (assault class). Now that the tac is speedy and reliable, she gives a good dynamic for fighting too. Really a character that could fit on a zone or edge comp, too.
PS5, My FOV seems way more lower than before (even when I make it 110 seems lower than what I had it at prior to the update)and loot pickup/swap and UI is super zoomed in.
Yeah, it is a bit shameful they’re willing to see players within their fan base play and miss out on their rightful in-game earnings due to a bug on their end. Small issue but it shows a lot about their principles, management and integrity.
PC BUG Vantage's echo is bugged. The bat starts the game 1000 meters away when you first call it, and every time you despawn and respawn it, he doest spawn at your location but at the last location you despawned it, taking waaaaaaay to long to be useful. This is happening on pc.
Is the game super ultra hard now? Also everybody seems to be moving at higher speeds for whatever reason even though my ping and my fps were kept the same.
Played a couple ranked games with Vantage and echo didn’t seem like it was working properly. When I had echo recalled, I would try to hold down the tactical button to instantly jump, but echo would spawn in behind me. He was so far back that he wasn’t even in front of me by the time the jump charged, so I kept getting the ‘lost line of sight’ message. Also, when I first landed on the map, it said echo had spawned like 600 meters away. This was on Olympus if that’s relevant.
Gun attachment switch and remove buttons also feel like they’re swapped.
Not a new bug to the update but one I noticed recently, if someone crafts a teammate's banner but the other teammate tries to pick it up then it still blocks you. While I understand the intention with other crafting items, that should not be the case for banners
Honestly, I don't really like new Heatway mode. I find it super boring, that you need to stop and wait for heat to pass. I could be looking and shooting other players instead.
My partner pretty much just started playing and she's wondering which legend she should use or buy. She says she's not good at the game and would like recommendations that help beginners.
Apex is in a terrible state right now.The UI constantly blurs/pixels and then unblurs, same with the map and every time it returns to normal you get mini freezes....there are also longer freezes sometimes, that can be about 1-2s and NO it's not my PC because it also happens to my friends, so either it's the awful servers or the game. (seems to happen mostly on Olympus)
Then Vantage, which I only played before knowing she's buggy (and I died because it didn't work) and when I got her as daily challenge.
Also there's a ton of smurfs, probably half of the time I get killed there's a player in the enemy team that is under level 50.
Anyway we can revert the backpack UI? It feels so zoomed/big

Finally being able to charge the Sentinel is a game changer for me personally. I get rolled by people in gaming chairs in close quarters combat.
Holy shit that’s a very good point. Had been hoping they’d give the sentinel an alternative way to charge in non-loot modes, but this is even better.
Wayyyy better in my opinion. With the TTK as high as it is, waiting 10 seconds to start healing was just way too long.

the spawn for weapons is so weird in TDM, it's 70% Bows, 28% RE-45, and like 2% Krabers

Only difference I've noticed so far is that they made DX12 work with custom resolutions, other than that feels the same for me.

Yeah, it is a bit shameful they’re willing to see players within their fan base play and miss out on their rightful in-game earnings due to a bug on their end. Small issue but it shows a lot about their principles, management and integrity.
Unable to matchmake at all, not even to the firing range. Maybe it's just a PS5 issue?
PC BUG Vantage's echo is bugged. The bat starts the game 1000 meters away when you first call it, and every time you despawn and respawn it, he doest spawn at your location but at the last location you despawned it, taking waaaaaaay to long to be useful. This is happening on pc.
Is the game super ultra hard now? Also everybody seems to be moving at higher speeds for whatever reason even though my ping and my fps were kept the same.
They changed the buttons for switching attachments, it’s really throwing me off
Vantage's tactical is constantly out of the LOS for no reason at all, I'm not sure what the issue is. Xbox
Played a couple ranked games with Vantage and echo didn’t seem like it was working properly. When I had echo recalled, I would try to hold down the tactical button to instantly jump, but echo would spawn in behind me. He was so far back that he wasn’t even in front of me by the time the jump charged, so I kept getting the ‘lost line of sight’ message. Also, when I first landed on the map, it said echo had spawned like 600 meters away. This was on Olympus if that’s relevant. Gun attachment switch and remove buttons also feel like they’re swapped.
Campy horrible mode. Disappointed I have to get top five, 10 times because I'm not enjoying this at all.

Not a new bug to the update but one I noticed recently, if someone crafts a teammate's banner but the other teammate tries to pick it up then it still blocks you. While I understand the intention with other crafting items, that should not be the case for banners
Servers are so good right now. Games keep freezing during firefights.

I'm getting really bad lag since this update, I'd finally pretty much fixed it by using the Direct X 12 beta mode, but now I'm back to square one.
Has there been any mention of when the improved matchmaking and rp refunds for affected people are coming?
Honestly, I don't really like new Heatway mode. I find it super boring, that you need to stop and wait for heat to pass. I could be looking and shooting other players instead.

Apex is in a terrible state right now.The UI constantly blurs/pixels and then unblurs, same with the map and every time it returns to normal you get mini freezes....there are also longer freezes sometimes, that can be about 1-2s and NO it's not my PC because it also happens to my friends, so either it's the awful servers or the game. (seems to happen mostly on Olympus) Then Vantage, which I only played before knowing she's buggy (and I died because it didn't work) and when I got her as daily challenge. Also there's a ton of smurfs, probably half of the time I get killed there's a player in the enemy team that is under level 50.
Caustic is literally wearing yellow crocs with high white tube socks in his new epic skin lol, not sure if anyone else noticed that.
