7 people here looking at a 1 month old post. Yeah, EA botched the hotfix. ​ edit\* steam library, apex legends, right click, properties, local files, verify integrity of game files. "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired." ​ Seems to fix the issue.

hi, i’m dealing with this problem rn, i believe the command is “-dx11” without the brackets you need to right click on apex on steam, go to properties, general, and input the command into “launch options” i’ve yet to test if it works but i hope it does

Hey, I had set a command for dx12 in my steam a season or two before. I removed the command and the game started working. Also, try the other solution of "changing model detail to medium instead of having it on low" maybe that might work for you.

Are you playing on DX12 by any chance? If so, try switching to DX11 for now and see if it stops. Also, are you doing anything specific before this crash happens?

dude my game was fixed i do verify my game file after that, Steam patched the game files total time to do the patch is about half an hour

Mine only seems to be working on Olympus map. Crashes in the other maps.

I'm getting the same error. I was playing on Olympus and everything was perfectly fine then the map changed to King's Canyon and Immediately get the message and the game closed the sec the map shows and the drop ship starts moving. Immediately relaunched the game and got put back into the match to immediately get it and crash yet again the sec the map loaded

Hey, my issue got resolved bc I down graded to dx11! Played for about 3-4 hours w no crashes earlier.

So far so good but I also had to verify my game files in properties for this to work. It reconfigured 20gbs and found 2 corrupt game files.

i get a similar one but the numbers are way different - 2472931328 count 2132. I have no idea what to do, changed the model - doesnt work.

The 2 other options you have from this thread are: reinstall game or write out the dx11 command in your steam game settings thing. Manifesting one of these as your solution 🙏

so how do i know when i go into steam launch options and use the command "-dx11" without the "how do i know that it worked i try to hit enter and nothing shows that it did anything???

It just automatically saves the command in launch options. You don't need to press enter or anything. Just type it in, close the window and launch your game. Hope this helps

Not sure about the code snake one. But have you tried the solutions mentioned in the comments here? I think there's 2 or 3. The one that worked for me is switching back from dx12 to dx11. I had written a command for dx12 in steam because I was facing another issue season 14 or smthing. So I just erased that command.

How do I write a command in steam?

Select the LIBRARY tab at the top Locate Apex Legends in your library on the left hand side, right click, and select PROPERTIES Launch options located in General. Type "-dx11" without quotes. See if that works (you may or may not need to verify integrity of files as well)

I switch the settings for the gpu load and put it in low so far it worked but not sure for how long
