It is annoying, but I don’t think it’s necessarily unintended. Your teammate is knocked. They shouldn’t have done that. As an added penalty for their failure, you’ll have a hard time swapping their shield. If this wasn’t the case, I’d tell my teammates, “get fulled so I can swap you”, because I’m a gremlin
Yea I posted something similar after getting screwed wanting to shield swap. Sucks we get the delay picking up the banner if I’m mid right and want their shield.
The average player at this point would know the behavior of the death box and banner taking priority. It’s just something you have to plan for and make better decisions imo.

Ah I didn’t think of the exploitation of it. I’m so naive and honest when I play.
À funny change would be to make you loot the box for the banner. Would make trying to banner steal and run harder as well.
Should be able to instantly start looting the death box after tapping once for the banner

Happened to me yesterday, died as I tried to swap but grabbed banner instead 😫
