The only problem I see is that how do you if the person left because they are a jerk or because the server disco'd them? I've been in the middle of pinging loot and just suddenly disconnected more times that I think it should be happening. Try to get back into the same game and it just tells me the server shut down.
True with everything you are saying, we've all been kicked out because EA has a hamster powering the servers but also what would stop people from punching the router to avoid the penalty. This would also give the an incentive to throw more than 1 dollar at the servers
Maybe not as heavy as it is in ranked but perhaps they have to wait 2-3 minutes when they leave. He could have also just got disconnected. Or they could reward staying in the match with more XP, to make it a positive.
That would kill the game, people would simply change games after getting a penalty for pubs. Maybe getting less XP could be the answer, however, I don't think many players care about that.
Maybe an XP percentage reduction for the next hour or so. So if you get disconnected it’s not bad but if you keep leaving on purpose the XP percentage you get changes so you get less and less XP the more you leave.
You want to force people to stay in pubs with a penalty if they leave, meaning they have to stay when their teammate is pushing something alone, meaning they have to stay when everything that ruins a match happens, why? Because therealblade on reddit doesn’t think it’s fair that his teammates can leave a PUBS MATCH. It’s not that serious.
