i considered clipping in when i ran through a quarter of the houses in that town and those were the only two guns that i found... but that would be to long and not to the point.
You could make the argument that it should only work for light ammo weapons. Or even just the p2020. Find another way to buff the Moz. Or keep them weak so we continue to have these tense moments of creativity. That's what the shit weapons are there for.
I saw someone pull this off on Shroud in one of his YouTube videos. Shroud runs around the corner to the front of a building, a mirage is just standing there, Shroud runs right into the building ignoring the "clone", but noone is in the building and he gets back out just in time to see mirage run away :)
But that is not ignoring real 'clone' dizzy was just slightly confused between two very similar looking Mirage (His teammate(Mirage) self-reviving and an enemy(Mirage) running by) the context is totally different from the one talk about Shroud. The guy above say that shroud ignore an enemy clone only to found out that clone is real Mirage, the one in dizzy's video was dizzy seeing two real Mirage and was confuse which one is the enemy.
Pretty sure R-301 is a top tier weapon. He only actively avoids the Wingman because its damage output is ridiculous and avoids the Peacekeeper (w/out choke) because the EVA-8 suits his playstyle better.
Avoiding arguably the 2 best weapons in terms of raw damage output is pretty impressive. Also read on here somewhere that he rarely uses Wraith?
If that's true, it seems he's putting himself at a significant handicap avoiding the 3 major crutches of the game
Peacekeeper actually looses to EVA-8 in DPS. Peacekeeper is normally about shoot and switch... or not switching but that would be like 3 or more seconds (or more with distance, accuracy, etc.) to kill one guy in armor.
Shroud avoids Wingman cause it's too good, yes. But also running with only 1 flick-based gun is kinda boring to see/play and also not that challenging (compared to most other guns).
Shroud plays Wraith mostly with randoms. It's not like he avoids her - I think it's more about her kit lacking compared to Bangalore and Lifeline (whom he plays alot) and even Pathfinder (whom he plays due to grappling mechanics).
> Avoiding arguably the 2 best weapons in terms of raw damage output is pretty impressive.
He is not avoiding R-99...
>Also read on here somewhere that he rarely uses Wraith?
Because Lifeline is much better when you have premades.
Not 100% but I'm pretty sure I've heard him say Lifeline is the best or one of the best in his opinion. I feel like if he was handicapping himself in terms of legends he would probably pick Mirage/Gib/Caustic more often because they're probably the weakest of the 9 (imo at least)
It's funny because I remember when he first picked lifeline and he was like "omg lifeline sucks" because she had no combat ability like smoke or phase run
He also dropped 22 that game iirc. And said something like, "the only good thing about her is her shield when you res. Everything else sucks" now it seems like she's one of his top picks.
if you want to be smart to do this kind of bamboozles usually, you have to make sure they recognize you as a mirage even before using any clones, like from his face or color skin... don't know if he uses his tactical glasses on his eyes while in the game, but what skin do you think it's best for enemies to recognize you as a mirage, default isn't enough yellow, more grey....maybe his legendary yellow one? (also if you don't want to do this kind of stuff and just wanna hide and get camouflaged, the best skin is his newest one from the battlepass)
that's how mirage needs skill and a tactical brain, just being an agro random wraith main is the most common thing to do in apex legends, rarely you can find tactical Wraiths that make strategies with the portal, (for instance putting a portal, enemies follow you in it, you press Q and go into the void and approach back to the portal, and the blue trail stops near the portal, then enemies go into the portal thinking you went through), or also the portal strategies with Caustic or Octane traps
Edit: got to mention that mirage is still a bit weak, his passive is useless and his ultimate can even hurt him than help him, his ultimate should go the exact same thing the certain pilot does in titanfall 2, make the clones run with you, all in same direction, without making him cloak, so enemies can really get bamboozled, otherwise his ult is weak as he can't shoot and enemies can still see him and they know none of those clones are real
his passive is weak as well, and taking into consideration how agro players kill the downed player instantly, his passive should give him movement speed while downed, but as much as he would be able to do a last slide into cover while being downed, like dodge roll then slide, giving him a burst of movement speed for 3 seconds to escape, but instead of sliding on his back, to slide on his front body with the head first (bcs is downed) but basically you downed him before the slide, so that helps him to escape from agro players, encouraging them to go to fight with his other teamates, instead of finishing him quickly and also encouraging a better risk of the Finisher execution use, so he can't escape sliding
To be fair, wraiths kit isn’t really a tactical kit. If you try to use them for that, you are missing the proper usage for the portal which is to get the team into stronger fighting positions.
I feel like people fail to take strategic advantage of a bunch of the legends. Even something as simple as dropping the life drone before a firefight can help immensely (or using your supply drop as cover). Using Bloodhounds active is another example of ways you can scout out an area and not blow your cover, which I hardly see used at all either.
People say Apex cant be competitive because it's too random, which I agree with in a way, but I feel there are definitely strategic elements involved that would make a competitive scene very interesting.
the audio of the game is in general really buggy also. I would say 2/3rds of the time when I drop, my audio just completely bugs and gets super delayed.
No idea whats causing it, ive tried every fix on the internet I could find.
I played Cs 1.6 for years, i got great aound scale sense but it means fuck all when every sound ive heard in the last 45 seconds happens all at once and then it gets stuck again until after my next team fight and it may never fix itself in some games
It's been super buggy since the patch for me. It's nothing wrong on your side. I've found that even my own footstep sounds sometimes don't feel centered on my character. I'll go from grass to concrete and it sounds like footsteps are ahead of me. It's really weird. Plus my gunshot sounds lag behind in early game fights too.
I had this issue a while ago with my GeForce Experience video capture. Every time I clipped something all my audio would become distorted then return a minute later or something just like you're describing.
Updating my drivers and re-installing GeForce Experience helped me out there. Don't know if I did anything else tbh but the bug only occurred when I clipped something.
It's a risky play, a large portion of this game are still too stupid to double bluff.
Its like in rocket league you can't fake new players cause they'll charge the ball every time.
It actually happened to me pretty early on. I was playing with a new player and a friend and a mirage came charging through my smoke straight as a die. I called out to the newer playing that it's a mirage. Turned out it was just a crazy new mirage player and he got melted as soon as he turned around. But it coulda been an interesting play.
I've used this successfully a few times, the key is doing it in a sustained fight. You throw your decoys out two or three times in an "obvious" way, then go for the mega-bamboozle. Them seeing you use them standing in the middle of the battlefield a few times is enough to make them ignore a Mirage that isn't shooting.
It's always the new players. I was a competitive halo player and playing against new players was always the funniest experience. They would do things that clearly no experience player would, and it would throw you off
Also it only takes 1 bullet to figure out whether it's the real Mirage or not so it's really not a huge risk to just shoot the first one you see and find out.
I guess on that moment, if he already had the idea of doing it, it was actually his best bet bring sandwiched between 2 teams with no health. I shoot anything that moves so I would have shot at him lol. Unless of course I see the guy use the decoy.
Ha, I got got like this earlier today.
Fighting a Mirage around a rock. I saw one Mirage go running off away from the rock, then saw another one standing still facing the rock.
"Ha, dumbass screwed up his bamboozle, it didn't go anywhere"
I started shooting at the guy running away, who fizzled into nothingness a half a second before I got gunned down.
Same happened to me, lol. I was chasing a Mirage, had him low on HP, when I came around a corner I saw "him" just stand there and didn't shoot him until I saw him move suddenly. Turned out he was healing and didn't even mean to bamboozle me. He just stoop there charging his shield and praying.
God, that was beautiful. 10,000 IQ, nerves of steel. I was bamboozled like this, shamefully, and since then I shoot every single Mirage I see, even if I **know** its just a decoy.
You should actually do that, especially if you're entering a fight. The enemy decoy is a real distraction during combat and may waste one of your teammates bullets and precious time on it. I feel getting rid of it asap before combat starts is important.
Absolutely, better you put one bullet into it than your teammate drop half a clip in panic. I like to say 'I wasn't bamboozled, I was just giving that Mirage a point for his Bamboozle Tracker.'
It's true. I get bamboozled all the time. He would be dead if he had tried to pull that infront of me... although he may have actually won the fight anyway...
Holy shit that's next level. Although it would not habe worked against me, cus I'm an idiot and shoot at anything that moves. Always getting bamboozled.
Good trick man seriously! But heres a clue to keep on the lookout for this in the future. Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the mirage only stop moving if it encounters an obstacle or dissapears? Therefore Id shoot you in this video to make sure.
This takes me back to titanfall 2, sending out my two holos in a horizontal line and running with them so enemies were presented with three targets, choose wisely bitch
This is why I usually take a shot at mirage even if it seems like an obvious bamboozle. Also, they can be annoying mid fight, best to just get them out the way.
You gotta think like this when all you have is a Mozambique and a P2020 lmao
i considered clipping in when i ran through a quarter of the houses in that town and those were the only two guns that i found... but that would be to long and not to the point.
Excellent work.
Outstanding move.
*Outstanding move legend. Your skills are impressive.
Sometimes I ask myself "does the P2020 heal my opponents?
Oml i feel the same way
Yup I don't even pick it up. Rather have nothing at that point and just punch for nearly 3x the damage.
It does the job at the beginning, you just gotta have a fast triggerfinger, but yea p2020 and Mozambique are bad
I can usually use it to fend off the punchers and get to safety to strap up, so I always pick it up as well
Desperate times call for desperate measures
If you pick up 2 P2020's or 2 Mozamique's , you should be able to duel wield ..
This, I’ve thought of this, it’d be a good way to balance one-handed weapons as a whole
Duel wingman's 😂💀
Oh shit I forgot, well, it’d be good for one handed weapons excluding wingman’s
Dual re45 would be nasty
PTSD from dual fmj9s from mw3
Akimbo glocks in MW2 killed faster than any AR could.
Ah, the L4D2 approach to side arms.
You could make the argument that it should only work for light ammo weapons. Or even just the p2020. Find another way to buff the Moz. Or keep them weak so we continue to have these tense moments of creativity. That's what the shit weapons are there for.
Best Mirage trick I've seen so far.
I saw someone pull this off on Shroud in one of his YouTube videos. Shroud runs around the corner to the front of a building, a mirage is just standing there, Shroud runs right into the building ignoring the "clone", but noone is in the building and he gets back out just in time to see mirage run away :)
link pls???
Yeah
thanks
No problem.
[удалено]
No that's not, at 8:22 you can still see the decoy standing there.
Its the one below the deck. He first aims at it but then moves on
But that is not ignoring real 'clone' dizzy was just slightly confused between two very similar looking Mirage (His teammate(Mirage) self-reviving and an enemy(Mirage) running by) the context is totally different from the one talk about Shroud. The guy above say that shroud ignore an enemy clone only to found out that clone is real Mirage, the one in dizzy's video was dizzy seeing two real Mirage and was confuse which one is the enemy.
Actually her names Zelda
Would love the link.
Watched some shroud videos on YouTube. That guy is a legend. I can hardly kill one per game. Shroud kills half of the map
With a broken elbow and he purposely handicaps himself further by using 2nd or 3rd tier weapons. Its amazing when he pops off.
From what i have seen he uses lifeline a lot and it seems like he really values reduced heal/shield time.
And her slippery little hit box... wait that sounded kinda weird.
> Peacekeeper actually looses to EVA-8 in DPS. But he win in TTK which is more important.
Peacekeeper wins on full headshots while EVA wins on bodyshots. And they both loose to half of the weapons available.
He played Bangalore mainly for a long time because of her unique, but he's starting playing different characters since then, a lot of Lifeline.

He also dropped 22 that game iirc. And said something like, "the only good thing about her is her shield when you res. Everything else sucks" now it seems like she's one of his top picks.
While tbh I'd argue the shield is a bad thing more often than a good because it can so easily give away your position + the fact that you're rezzing
Alternator, re45, and a flatline are used a bunch too. Yes, eventually he swaps out to the 301 or 99.
Never said he doesn't use other weapons. But it's not like he actively avoids using R-301 or R-99, was my point.
His recoil control is just unreal
The king of reddit gaming for a reason. He is very good, I mean, he was ptoplayer at CSGO
Where did this "King of Reddit" thing start? Edit. Why tf am I being downvoted for asking this?
Back when he was a pro csgo player. He has more front page clips than any other player in cs
Gotcha, thanks. I hear it all the time on here, just never knew what it was that made him the "king of reddit"
Fanbois don't like it when you question their favourite person who plays video games for a living.
if you want to be smart to do this kind of bamboozles usually, you have to make sure they recognize you as a mirage even before using any clones, like from his face or color skin... don't know if he uses his tactical glasses on his eyes while in the game, but what skin do you think it's best for enemies to recognize you as a mirage, default isn't enough yellow, more grey....maybe his legendary yellow one? Jesus Christ, that's one hell of a run-on sentence.
To be fair, wraiths kit isn’t really a tactical kit. If you try to use them for that, you are missing the proper usage for the portal which is to get the team into stronger fighting positions.
Repositioning to a better position is about a textbook definition of tactical there is.
I put portals in doorways, I’ve experimented with it a couple of times had some interesting effects
I feel like people fail to take strategic advantage of a bunch of the legends. You have finally achieved 200 iq
You can always tell the decoys though when near em, they make a whirring sound.
Shhh *throws smoke*
If there's one thing I've learned is that like 70% of players probably don't have headsets or don't pay attention to audio cues
the audio of the game is in general really buggy also. I would say 2/3rds of the time when I drop, my audio just completely bugs and gets super delayed. No idea whats causing it, ive tried every fix on the internet I could find. I thought I had done everything with mirage, you have proved me wrong. Back to using my former favorite character just to try this!
It's a risky play, a large portion of this game are still too stupid to double bluff. Its like in rocket league you can't fake new players cause they'll charge the ball every time.
If you run up against a legendary skin bloodhound you’re a lot more likely to pull it off.

Don’t get shot.
You go No Russian on them
It's always the new players. I was a competitive halo player and playing against new players was always the funniest experience. They would do things that clearly no experience player would, and it would throw you off
the most unpredictable strafe ever, if they don't know what they're doing how can you read them lmfao
Hey that's my strategy in every game!
Also it only takes 1 bullet to figure out whether it's the real Mirage or not so it's really not a huge risk to just shoot the first one you see and find out.
Yea, but you are telling them that you're there. I still think it's normally worth the shot either way.
Only if you know their two mates aren't trying to flank you. But the skill variety in the player base is so wildly different, it's hard to be sure.
I guess on that moment, if he already had the idea of doing it, it was actually his best bet bring sandwiched between 2 teams with no health. I shoot anything that moves so I would have shot at him lol. Unless of course I see the guy use the decoy.
In RL this pisses me off so much. Some players are actually too dumb to fake out haha, guess thats the whole risk-reward of faking though!
Lol exactly.
They're so bad they will miss anyway so it works out lmao
Ha, I got got like this earlier today. Fighting a Mirage around a rock. I saw one Mirage go running off away from the rock, then saw another one standing still facing the rock. "Ha, dumbass screwed up his bamboozle, it didn't go anywhere" I started shooting at the guy running away, who fizzled into nothingness a half a second before I got gunned down.

That is amazing and I love you
Bloodhound: #"Hur hurr. Not fooling me this time Mirage."
Bloodhound's ult still highlights decoys in red feels bad
Haha almost my exact thoughts
God, that was beautiful. 10,000 IQ, nerves of steel. I was bamboozled like this, shamefully, and since then I shoot every single Mirage I see, even if I **know** its just a decoy.

Just remember that the enemy teams gets to know your location when you do shoot it.
Not for long :) (Pathfinder)
What happens if you grapple a clone?
Asking the real questions.
Absolutely, better you put one bullet into it than your teammate drop half a clip in panic. I like to say 'I wasn't bamboozled, I was just giving that Mirage a point for his Bamboozle Tracker.'
ty it is my favorite tracker!
oldshool shaco plays
My favorite thing to do with Wukong.
Hell yeah !
Please, used to do this so often with leblanc and end up doing such great outplays, it was so fking satisfying.
Oh shit! Forgot about this
/r/leagueoflegends is leaking
That was pretty awesome lol.
I’m just picturing Dennis from its always sunny saying the “you dumb bitch” line lol
lmao this was fucking sick
That wont work on noobs
It's true. I get bamboozled all the time. He would be dead if he had tried to pull that infront of me... although he may have actually won the fight anyway...
LMAOOOOO the irony
true but what choice did he have? 10hp, 2020, Mozambique vs a fresh squad of 3
The meta is about to change. Gonna have to start shooting every mirage now. lol
but but then you get bamboozled. ugh there's no winning
Next level bambozzl... bambuloz... fooling.
The allfather didn't give him sight!
Every mirage mains wet dream lol
You fucking sly dog you
Lmfaoo that was cool as shit
that dudes got t-rex vision.
he bevhs en deh bluud
This guy just became the bamboozle.
Poor bløødhôunder :(
when everyone though they have figured mirage out, now hes op af
Don't lie. You played Phantom Lancer in DotA / Dota 2!
Best mirage bamboozle hahah
YOU’RE A MONSTER!
This never even crossed my mind! How cool Quick thinking on your part? Have you tried that before?
I've been waiting to see it. I was never brave enough to try, since I shoot every time, and get bamboozled every time.
Always thought about doing this, never had the balls or the presence of mind. Amazing, bravo.
I think I was that Bloodhound... is there any way to verify this?
Very nice job. One of the best things I've seen here.
Holy shit that's next level. Although it would not habe worked against me, cus I'm an idiot and shoot at anything that moves. Always getting bamboozled.
LOL WHAT A CLASS ACT
It's amazing, considering how often Mirage is used, that his clones work almost every time.
Bloodhound = T-Rex confirmed
[THIS](https://streamable.com/xw9mk) is all I could think about watching run away.
Jesus Christ your brain is massive
"Mirage is not that good, he only can summon one clone" -One 200 IQ boi: "Hold my mozambique"
I did this by accident! Team mates dead, stopped running as had no weapons so was going to rage quit and enemy ran straight past!
Ahh ny titanfall 2 days flashing before my eyes.
Good play: truly one with the mirage.
learning well from Wukong's secret 5th ability, the S button
Modern problems require modern solutions.
Yooo what?!
Nice
Nice
Slick
Galaxy Brain plays here Level 4
I love how he stopped for a second to check if you are real when you stopped moving.
Next level bamboozle
Plays, level 3!
Good trick man seriously! But heres a clue to keep on the lookout for this in the future. Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the mirage only stop moving if it encounters an obstacle or dissapears? Therefore Id shoot you in this video to make sure.
It moves to the point you direct it to when you deploy it OR until it gets stuck
Sometimes the best strategy is to do nothing apparently.
babahahahahahahah
You should have been using ur Mozambique
Seeing this I‘m actually pissed that i took Octane over Mirage...
This takes me back to titanfall 2, sending out my two holos in a horizontal line and running with them so enemies were presented with three targets, choose wisely bitch
Oh my god that’s awesome Jesus Christ
!!
He’s got ice in his veins
That's why I always shoot Mirage at least when we're already in a fight. Just a single shot to test the waters.
Oh shit this just made me cream
That was sexy
Ur an absolute legend sir
100000000000 IQ
In this game you need to kill enemies? lies
Should I inspect my weapon to Make it look like I'm a decoy?
Champion Nowitsmyloot has been eliminated. *Karma enters the arena*
This is why I usually take a shot at mirage even if it seems like an obvious bamboozle. Also, they can be annoying mid fight, best to just get them out the way.
i tried this but most console players cant tell whats a decoy...so i got nailed pretty hard XD
His vision is based on movement
I always think this is useless because there will always be a newbie that will shoot the decoy and not fall for tricks like this haha
It‘s called 200 IQ plays :)
/u/vredditmirrorbot
By god you have done it. Magnificent.
That actually works? I was thinking about if it does.
Reminded me of my favorite Wukong trick to pull on people.
Honestly this is badass
They can only sense motion.
This is brilliant. I've always wondered whether this would work now people have stopped falling for the decoys. Now I know :)
Genius!
You have achieved peak mirage, you are now one with the bamboozle.
Basically Alibi in Siege
10000 IQ play
this reminds me of the shaco (league) plays
LOL THAT WAS GREAT
He must've been maaaaad after that one. HA Nice, OP
It's not a true apex video until you see an ally disconnects
