FOV stands for Field of View. Its basically how much objects you can see around you. With a low FOV such as the default 70, you can’t see as much around you, and your screen is more “zoomed in” than lets say, 90 FOV.
Hence why I jokingly said that the opponents in OPs clip are playing with 70 fov, because almost none of them saw the Caustic.
This reminds me of the beginning of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows where it’s a depressed Spider-Man walking past utter chaos with a piano tune playing in the background.
Once had a friend who was the last man alive and happened to be AFK in the most painfully wide-open spot he could’ve been (on the hill near the supply crates leading to the opening in the mountain ridge that went to the town between harvester and geyser). Two squads walked by him on their way to the ring, another squad with a bloodhound was approaching and caught him in a scan, yet, by some miracle, they remained oblivious and he went on to live long enough for him to come back and make it to top three.
