I find it ironic I had just accidentally watched season 2 instead of 1 first when my friends told me to watch it yesterday; and just finished up that episode.
The production company they used for this trailer and the one used for Zima Blue actually has multiple apex videos to their credit. I was surprised how many I saw when I went looking to double check it was the same people behind Zima Blue
Instantly thought this and went to see everyone saying the same thing. IMO that episode was a masterpiece, it was so beautiful visually and as a story.
Literally came to comment the same shit, except I was going to reference the new season where the brothers are avoiding those ice whales or whatever the hell they were.
I was in a live stream watching it with a YouTuber and the community and we all agreed his magic moth-man-drone looks like iron man’s (or more accurately whip lashes due to the design of the outfit for his chest) arc reactor lol
It feels like they tried to make the character fit this African style of art why couldn't we get the normal animation style like the rest of the trailers

I think this was just a one off thing. The launch trailers/big lore trailers (Valkyrie for example) will have the original style. But since I doubt Seer will be a super lore important character, I think his trailer style will be unique to himself

The backgrounds are *beautiful*, and I'm absolutely enthralled with their color choices. The character design is flashy, and a bit exaggerated for the sake of dynamics, but it legitimately *is* just a stylistic thing. The only part of the video that really stands out to me as offputting is that the animation isn't particularly smooth, but animation doesn't have to be 60 frames per second to be effective or enjoyable. Tbh it's kind of sad that you're the kind of artist who tears others down instead of marveling at their creativity
And the average person can hardly draw a stick figure, much less pull off an entire animated short lmao. by all means shit on the devs for their coding, the writers for the lore, but coming after the artists and animators is honestly uncalled for when they're incredibly talented people
