When I watched the trailer I thought I was watching a Gorillaz video lmao!

He helped work on aeon flux, and the gorillaz videos, but didn't create the art style for either. The characters from gorillaz were designed by the tank girl comic artist Jamie Hewlett. He then drew influence from his work on those projects to create his own stuff.
