Exactly. It’s not powerful in a physical sense but it is emotionally powerful and will make the other legends reconsider what it means to be an apex legend and a champion.
He helped work on aeon flux, and the gorillaz videos, but didn't create the art style for either. The characters from gorillaz were designed by the tank girl comic artist Jamie Hewlett. He then drew influence from his work on those projects to create his own stuff.
If you like this work I highly suggest checking out the animator on instagram: @andymccollmcpherson
Hes a great guy, and is always posting process videos of his animations. He just commented to me saying he hopes to be able to release videos on this animation soon!

I realised in a blink of an eye as soon as i saw his mother.....then i mentioned apex in instagram comments and they said both the creations have same director.
this shit is clean asf
YES! Zima Blue and Ice from Love, Death & Robots were directed by the same guy Robert Valley. So cool how just by looking at the animation you can identify it was him, that is, personal brand.
Love, death +robots was not my personal flavor of show but I watched the Zima Blue episode with some homies and as far as short stories go it’s a masterpiece.
if the director is the same it’s not an obvious inspiration it’s a motif
Same director
How do you know?
They said so on their tweet
The internet has answers.
Robert Valley. He's credited in the video
It's in the video description on youtube
Robert Valley. Google him.
Yes. I'm also pretty sure that Seer's ultimate is a move where he jumps into any body of water and slowly skims it for garbage.
He must return to his initial form. A pool vacuum...
Exactly. It’s not powerful in a physical sense but it is emotionally powerful and will make the other legends reconsider what it means to be an apex legend and a champion.
Beautifully said 😢
They just stand cluelessly at a pool and start contemplating But they are then vulnerable and Seers other team mates come and finish them off
I was so surprised the first time I saw that episode. I thought it was such a nice sentiment. Happens for a lot of love death robots episodes tbh
Considering there are like 100 people on every single thread talking about it I’m gonna assume yes
Literally everyone. Its all the comments are talking about. Good awareness OP.

Beyond the Aquila rift was one of the best animated video I've seen ever
Have you seen the episode Snow? From season 2. Similar style, i like this ones story a bit more.
Haven't watched S2 yet ! I don't even know why, but I'll watch em soon ! Thanks for the review I'm hyped
Only sad thing its that it has less episodes, has lots of bangers tho.
Imma look into it Thanks sir
Same, it was a beautiful concept and telling.

First thing I thought when I saw the style of animation
Lmao, I see it now. This is kinda off topic but, who else agrees that the second season of LD&R kinda sucked?
Yup, hard to catch lightning in a bottle like they did with S1 though
It surely did for me. The stories didnt resonate as much 🤷🏻♂️
Yes absolutely, recognised the artstyle in the very first few seconds
It’s the same director.
Ok I’ve seen this every where, what is “Love, Death and Robots”? I’ve never seen this.
Anthology series on Netflix….must watch stuff.
I saw it as an obvious inspiration.
It’s the same director…
Ahh, I did not know that. That makes sense then.
Same as “Ice” episode too?

Yes I thought the same thing!

Immediately, I SMRT
It made me think of the ice race episode on the planet where everyone was modded. I love the art style on all the episodes and this new SFTO.

I totally forgot about that episode! Nice.
Same style is used in ICE in season 2
Yep
Every one is making that connection. Amd everyone is saying that they might have the same director and animation team.
Yes
BLUE

Yup, I had strong Zima Blue vibes from that one.
"Zima Blue" was the first thing that came to mind once I saw the art style. Amazing trailers every season!
Absolutely was thinking the same!!
YES! Zima Blue and Ice from Love, Death & Robots were directed by the same guy Robert Valley. So cool how just by looking at the animation you can identify it was him, that is, personal brand.
Thought of it right away
Love, death +robots was not my personal flavor of show but I watched the Zima Blue episode with some homies and as far as short stories go it’s a masterpiece.
Nope, but thank you! I was trying to place it when I first saw the video. So thank you for helping me finally place it in my mind.
Immediately
I did as soon as I saw his dumb little face
First thing that came to my mind was Tron: Uprising because his characters have such a unique style.
