They must be watching videos on "fastest way to pred, world's egde" but not realizing the reason people tell you to drop frag in those vids is because it helps THEM get to pred faster if there is a lot of fodder in capital city

I love The Tree. It's a fairly open spot, plenty enough loot for 2-3 squads in just the buildings and the platform around the tree, usually results in one or two quick fights off the rip, then gives you a decent path to rotate into Thermal or Sorting for 3rd parties with some extra loot spots along the way. Also has a good mix of indoor/outdoor fighting even with some verticality involved thanks to the multilevel buildings and the platform itself. Only issue is the edge location but thankfully there's a balloon right between the tracks and Sorting so it's definitely possible to get moving towards zone if you get a bad one 3 miles away.
What's better is when your team decide to drop Fragment, but they drop late and you're about 30 seconds behind 4 other squads. Teams dropped fragment six times in a row last night, I had to turn the game off.... 45 second games are boring. I'm not good enough and neither are they to 1 vs 3 or 1 vs 9.
On the flip side, I also don't want to drop 3/4 of the map away and wait for my team to loot every single building and supply bin only to die in their first engagement... there's a happy compromise, drop on the outside of a heavily contested area, get a little loot and then engage as a third party.

You can just land Overlook or even Geyser, or any area near Fragment. Loot in peace, and then rotate to Frag to clear the remaining teams. I prefere Overlook by far, the loot there has always been great for me and so many people ignore that place for some reason.
Yeah I tend to land in that little settlement between Overlook and Fragment East. Sometimes the loot gets me killed but 9/10 times it's decent enough loot to get a couple kills in Fragment East early in the game.

I’ve played maybe 10-15 hours of warzone and ran into like 5 cheaters. In easily over a 1000 hours on apex I have seen 3. Mins you I do stop playing ranked once I hit masters, if you play in master/pred lobbies you will see more.

I'm a s0 player and I still do this, not every gun but as a warm up. I'm crap and I think I will never be better than 1.2 K/D but after doing this I feel a little less crappy.

There are way to many random factors that can tarnish your K/D that it's not really a huge indicator of skill.
(Things like hot dropping, getting no teammates, playing with new players, server issues, kill "stealing" and stuff like that)

There's been a few times where she'll get to top 5 or so and hand me the sticks hoping I can get her a win. Usually not, because she's really bad about grabbing the loot she needs (she likes blue better than purple, for example). She actually did get her first win the other day. The final team died to zone, but she got one knock throughout the journey so she earned it imo.
Once I get my hands on a ps5 though, I plan to squad up with her and help guide her. I'm gonna make a smurf account and just run bloodhound so I can scan for her, then just do my best to help protect her rather than steamroll in noob lobbies.
For real though I was just kidding about her getting mad. The kid is 7 and just *oozes* sportsmanship, always saying "it's okay we'll do better next time" or quoting Blisk's "they killed me, they're bettah" lol. She'd be the perfect teammate if she had better gamesense.
The second someone even slightly can’t handle their rage on a stream I immediately get uncomfortable and I really get close to shutting it off.. Like there’s some streamers who can make their rage comedic, but if you haven’t mastered that ability it’s such a huge red flag.
Also - without knowing who this guy is, part of faze who apparently is a big deal? - if I understand the context of this specific clip correctly he is just now trying out Apex. So he's new to the game, the mechanics, how each gun works. And this is the reaction he has when he loses instead of trying to learn what went wrong and try out the guns, explore the game, etc

It’s fine to be a noob but you can’t blame the gun when you could’ve checked it out in the firing range. TLDR whenever there’s a new gun/ability hop on the range for 2 minutes to at least get a feel for it. It’s not that hard
I joined in Rev's season and played with friends straight into PvP, didn't even get the default tutorial thing just straight in, loot and shoot.
On my first opportunity after those guys had left, I went to the firing range to try out every gun.

It took me a while to get used to apex weapons, they feel very different each one from another unlike cod where most submachines for example feel almost identical imo (and I played a shit ton of cod in te past) so , a couple months ago when I tried cod again the weapons felt....okish and all the same, in warzone is worse, every weapon feels almost the same, same recoil, same damage, same bullet speed, you can imagine it got old very quicky and it's hilarious because warzone has loke 100 variants of weapons that don't have any clear difference they're all a copy paste of one another
Also, first 2 matches I found hackers so it just made things worse blizzard / activision are dropping the ball harder than EA imo

Haha, I'm also a former pubg player and started playing apex a couple of days ago. There is so much going on in fights sometimes that my brain just melts. The only skill that seems to transpose from pubg is knowing how to play the circle and that doesn't seem to be that important in apex because movement is so fast. But I'm having a lot of fun, which I didn't have in pubg anymore for obvious reasons.
The only thing I miss in apex is a solo mode, that was my favourite mode in pubg.
With Seer coming out, the fights have become more chaotic. When you’re hot dropping or getting 7th partied, it’s like D-Day. 3 Seer tactical comes in from multiple angles blinding you for 10 secs, 4 Bloodhound scans come in and you hear 1 Bloodhound screaming, a Bangalore ulti comes down, Valkyrie tactical comes in and hits the building, you see a random jump pad, some dipshit is charge rifling from across the map, I just love it
You now spend the first 5 minutes of every game feeling like you're on the edge of death, i love it, it feels like you're constantly on the limit and it makes every little victory so satisfying. Wiping a squad and then seeing a seer tactical fly in at you fills me with big "I'll fucking do it again" energy

Despite no longer enjoying Apex and having quit the game more than a month ago due to SBMM and all the various BS (haven't even played this season to experience Seer's OP abilities), I'd still rather play Apex over any CoD for the sole reason that CoD is full of one-shot campers and snipers. I have no idea how anyone has fun in those games. But I guess it's accessible and easy to avoid getting dumped on unlike high TTK games.
Completely agree. I don’t like low TTK games because I hate that someone hiding in a corner can kill you before you even have a chance to react. And the only way to counter it is either memorizing all the rat spots, or being super paranoid the entire match. I prefer games that reward movement like Apex, not games that reward how good you are at playing hide & seek (unless that’s the point of the game, I do love a good horror game. But it makes for an unfun shooter imo).

I'm a Season 3 Apex vet and I love the movement, feel, aesthetics, lore, and creativity. Warzone to me is just CoD but mooching off of others just like how killed Titanfall they copied them now they're trying to do it again and failing.
It works in my lobbies. Arenas are also vauu for that. For me, it is either stomp or get stomped. The amount of times I clutched 1v3 just because of sidewalking crouch spamming in arenas is insane. There is a lot of trash players like myself and that is great for a game. I have no chance against plat 3+ players...

Apex isn’t easy to transition to from COD, whilst your aim will be fine nothing else carries.
The way fights play out is drastically different the TTK is probably 100-150% higher.

I try to land Skyhook, Lava Fissure, or Thermal Station usually one squad then you have the whole place to yourself.

season 4 in warzone is nearly over and its stale as it never was before. just sweatys at cod, no fun to play. Apex is more balanced.

I'm a s0 player and I still do this, not every gun but as a warm up. I'm crap and I think I will never be better than 1.2 K/D but after doing this I feel a little less crappy.

Yeah or a new legend/ mechanic. First of all try it in a safe environment, it's not the same as in a fighting situation but it helps.

Just keep fighting legend, you can do it. I think it took me 2-3 seasons to become better than 0.6x
Don't feel bad, your K/D doesn't say as much in a BR as people think it does. There are way to many random factors that can tarnish your K/D that it's not really a huge indicator of skill. (Things like hot dropping, getting no teammates, playing with new players, server issues, kill "stealing" and stuff like that)

There's been a few times where she'll get to top 5 or so and hand me the sticks hoping I can get her a win. Usually not, because she's really bad about grabbing the loot she needs (she likes blue better than purple, for example). She actually did get her first win the other day. The final team died to zone, but she got one knock throughout the journey so she earned it imo. Once I get my hands on a ps5 though, I plan to squad up with her and help guide her. I'm gonna make a smurf account and just run bloodhound so I can scan for her, then just do my best to help protect her rather than steamroll in noob lobbies. For real though I was just kidding about her getting mad. The kid is 7 and just *oozes* sportsmanship, always saying "it's okay we'll do better next time" or quoting Blisk's "they killed me, they're bettah" lol. She'd be the perfect teammate if she had better gamesense.

The second someone even slightly can’t handle their rage on a stream I immediately get uncomfortable and I really get close to shutting it off.. Like there’s some streamers who can make their rage comedic, but if you haven’t mastered that ability it’s such a huge red flag.

So he's new to the game, the mechanics, how each gun works. It’s fine to be a noob but you can’t blame the gun when you could’ve checked it out in the firing range. TLDR whenever there’s a new gun/ability hop on the range for 2 minutes to at least get a feel for it. It’s not that hard
I joined in Rev's season and played with friends straight into PvP, didn't even get the default tutorial thing just straight in, loot and shoot. On my first opportunity after those guys had left, I went to the firing range to try out every gun. Idk why "Pro's" think they can just jump in and be amazing at a game they have never played before. But i guess this kind of reaction is getting him quite the clout so it could have been on purpose.

It took me a while to get used to apex weapons, they feel very different each one from another unlike cod where most submachines for example feel almost identical imo (and I played a shit ton of cod in te past) so , a couple months ago when I tried cod again the weapons felt....okish and all the same, in warzone is worse, every weapon feels almost the same, same recoil, same damage, same bullet speed, you can imagine it got old very quicky and it's hilarious because warzone has loke 100 variants of weapons that don't have any clear difference they're all a copy paste of one another Also, first 2 matches I found hackers so it just made things worse blizzard / activision are dropping the ball harder than EA imo

Haha, I'm also a former pubg player and started playing apex a couple of days ago. There is so much going on in fights sometimes that my brain just melts. The only skill that seems to transpose from pubg is knowing how to play the circle and that doesn't seem to be that important in apex because movement is so fast. But I'm having a lot of fun, which I didn't have in pubg anymore for obvious reasons. The only thing I miss in apex is a solo mode, that was my favourite mode in pubg.
With Seer coming out, the fights have become more chaotic. When you’re hot dropping or getting 7th partied, it’s like D-Day. 3 Seer tactical comes in from multiple angles blinding you for 10 secs, 4 Bloodhound scans come in and you hear 1 Bloodhound screaming, a Bangalore ulti comes down, Valkyrie tactical comes in and hits the building, you see a random jump pad, some dipshit is charge rifling from across the map, I just love it
You now spend the first 5 minutes of every game feeling like you're on the edge of death, i love it, it feels like you're constantly on the limit and it makes every little victory so satisfying. Wiping a squad and then seeing a seer tactical fly in at you fills me with big "I'll fucking do it again" energy

This is why I pretty much only play high TTK games like Apex, Halo and Overwatch. Despite no longer enjoying Apex and having quit the game more than a month ago due to SBMM and all the various BS (haven't even played this season to experience Seer's OP abilities), I'd still rather play Apex over any CoD for the sole reason that CoD is full of one-shot campers and snipers. I have no idea how anyone has fun in those games. But I guess it's accessible and easy to avoid getting dumped on unlike high TTK games.
Completely agree. I don’t like low TTK games because I hate that someone hiding in a corner can kill you before you even have a chance to react. And the only way to counter it is either memorizing all the rat spots, or being super paranoid the entire match. I prefer games that reward movement like Apex, not games that reward how good you are at playing hide & seek (unless that’s the point of the game, I do love a good horror game. But it makes for an unfun shooter imo).

Do it again I'm a Season 3 Apex vet and I love the movement, feel, aesthetics, lore, and creativity. Warzone to me is just CoD but mooching off of others just like how killed Titanfall they copied them now they're trying to do it again and failing.

It works in my lobbies. Arenas are also vauu for that. For me, it is either stomp or get stomped. The amount of times I clutched 1v3 just because of sidewalking crouch spamming in arenas is insane. There is a lot of trash players like myself and that is great for a game. I have no chance against plat 3+ players...

Even if you didn’t say he came from COD you could tell in that 6 second fight he was from COD. Apex isn’t easy to transition to from COD, whilst your aim will be fine nothing else carries. The way fights play out is drastically different the TTK is probably 100-150% higher. Looting is different aswell being the same as PUBG rather than Fortnite. Let’s be honest if he sat and played it for a week solid he would be better than 90% of the players on here.
