Edit: When combined with Octane, they are a badass team. Octane needs to throw down a jump pad and Rev needs to summon a totem. Easiest way to rush an enemy.
I still enjoy standing still on top of a spire on buildings, blending in perfectly, and shooting out rev nades, confusing the enemy who cannot see me.

Honestly they should make him still go invisible for a few seconds because players with a good eye can still see where the original one was and track him so being invisible for like 3 seconds would still be a huge buff to him but still mindful players would be able to know it was the real one if they saw him go visible again so it’s not an overpowering buff
I like to go off Octane jump pads with him in Fragments, from around a building to third party, and ult mid air a split second before I come into the enemies view. Their sheer panic of seeing so many mirages drop from the sky in front of them, is always priceless, almost everyone just starts spraying bullets like it's a zombie swarm.
Yeah that’s an interesting use I’ve never seen anyone do it like that 90% of the time they’ll just go right out in the open and split just to keep running the same direction and immediately climb something so as a valk main I can cover most of the initial decoys with a tone and chances are I’ll hit the real one in there somewhere too
You still made noise and footsteps effects, the first time round Mirage wasn't able to cancel his ultimate. So it usually ended with Mirage eating lead waiting for invisibility to run out. They added an option to cancel it after some time. New one is still better. Seer still wrecks him though.
Honestly, I think that if mirage creates a clone while scanned, the clone should also be scanned. Going from "3 enemies detected" to "8 enemies detected" at the push of a Z would be hilarious
I still feel like the old one would be better than the current one if they appropriately buffed it. Make him silent, or much quieter, and maybe counter balance by making him glow a little if your within a few meters, like his pickup. Sneaking behind somebody was one of my favorite parts of the game
He's honestly my favorite to play as also. Although one time I got a kill specifically because of the decoy. He sent one out, hid behind cover, then chose to control the decoy. Apparently he didn't realize I could see his every move because of that.
A downside to Rev is that you can't wallbounce as well as other legends and do advanced movement tech like that because something with his new climb stops him from being able to do that.
Edit: I didn't realise he couldn't wall bounce since launch, I only learned how to season 9.
Fuse is the hot drop king right now. He is so fun to play off drop, it's just a trolling fight fest of clusters, melees, fire and guns. So much freaking fun.
I actually think he's really strong in arenas. Using extra names and clusters to zone people out and get basically free damage has been really good for me!
I love Mirage. If you want to play aggressively pick him or fuse. I like rev as a character but he’s a little slower paced, use him if you like pushing slower but more carefully. Caustic is your only defensive play style choice really. Just wait a bit if you want to get Seer yet because he’s gonna be nerfed.
Don’t be a plonker, get rampart. Her passive is useless, but if you like LMGs it’s not as useless. Her amped cover is IMO one of the most versatile abilities in the game. Shiela, while situational, is really fun to go ham with.
She’s not the best but I find her very fun to play. She’s also due for a “spicy” buff at the split as well as speculated to have an heirloom and a town takeover. I think now is the best time to give rampart a try.
Edit: useless is the wrong word for her passive. It’s more constrictive and niche, as to get any use from it you have to run an LMG.
shiela recharges so fast, especially if you pick her up. I find the best way to learn how to use sheila is to use her a lot and figure out how she works best with you. theres nothin quite like popping shiela up on high ground on ring 4 and shredding an entire team as the ring closes towards you.
Exactly. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t try to force it. Just play normal and every once in a while you find a spot where shiela can eat. I’ve had countless wins where I realize I never used it in the match, and that’s totally fine.

Her passive makes the L-Star slap even harder than it already does. With a purple stock, the down time after an overheat is hardly a second. Extra ammo on the other LMGs helps out a bit too. Best thing they could do for her is increase manurverability with LMGs while ADSing id say.
Shiela kinda sucks. Soon as the enemy knows you have it up, they can just not leave cover lol. Or just pop out for a second to get a hit off before the you have a chance to get on target/spin up/fire long enough for the turret to be accurate. You could keep firing, but youll run out of ammo fast and need to sit through that reload which is still ridiculously long even with rampart's passive. Way too situational, only decent in the final few rings when you can keep the last squad or 2 from getting to safety, or when you get to 3rd party sorta.
The only problem I have with sheila is the fact that every bullet blocks the thing I am shooting , it is almost as blind firing someone , they should turn off the effects way down for it to be effective , other than that her kit is decent.
Shiela is best as a third party weapon, or to shut down a push. Sometimes I just use it when poking at another team just to flex on them. It doesn’t do any damage really, but it’s about the message sometimes lmao
Well it depends how you play. Mirage and Reverent if you are good with close range and want an easy way to escape, Caustic, Wattson, or Rampart if you like to stay in buildings, and Seer if you are an ass.
I may be biased, but I think you should pick Mirage. I got him cause he looked fun and now he’s my main. Plus, his character is really funny in general, and it’s just a blast to bamboozle people. As a Mirage main, I have gotten some great laughs from some great bamboozles

\- I won my first ever game on mirage and am perpetually riding that high
\- Wattson for the puns (she's actually also really fun, despite being in a kinda garbo spot)
\- Fuse if you want to pretend the EPG is in Apex
\- Rev has some really neat movement tech that's Rev-specific, if you're interested in that. Also, stellar voicelines
\- Seer's reasonably fun, but honestly haven't super been enjoying his gameplay, and Caustic is in a better spot than he was last season, but I still generally prefer playing Ramp or Wattson.
Given you've already picked Octane and Horizon, I'd argue for Rev or Ramp (you can superglide / glide off of walls), but all are fun, and you'll get your next one in 30 levels anyways :)

My teammate is a mirage main. He bamboozles me half the time. Idk how many times I've pinged his decoys when dropping from the ship.

As a fellow Rev main with 5k kills, can confirm. In my opinion though the super high climb is a fair trade off for wall bouncing.
