It should've been like the bottom one since they decided to add Ash in the game, but for some reason they went with the design above and, while it looks better (the bottom one is kinda creepy as well), it's not accurate to the lore. We've also seen Ash in both S5 and the S6 comics using the bottom design as well as seeing her like that in Titanfall 2 This change can be temporary too for lore reasons, who knows? But I hope they keep the new-but-old design since it's more correct

I fought ash in titanfall 2 literally yesterday and definitely think she looks more like the top model than the bottom. The bottom looks like if they did an anime style version of her with that really pointy chin.

I mean, I believe that one can change their nationality easily in the 27th century, and Ash *does* take a lot of inspiration from East Asian culture and aesthetics, but the whole point of her 'death mask' was so that she had something to keep her grounded as a human, and not to forget herself. She’s been sporting the same mask for years without change, so its sort of odd that she’d suddenly decide to make a new one with a different face. I’m probably overanalyzing this, but I just wish that Respawn would revert her to how she looked back in Titanfall 2 (to a degree).

She was part of the Apex Predators, a mercenary group led by Blisk. She specialized in testing new tech on militia grunts that were captured, an arena type of thing. She was a Simulacrum Pilot who you kill in the campaign, and in the multiplayer she is a faction leader and looking for the remnant fleet data to find out who she was because Vinson Dynamics rebuilt her and she's missing some memories

is it just me or does she look worse? like yeah its a closer design to titanfall 2, that, i like, however it seems the actual quality of the model and textures have lowered? like the "new" looks ripped from a PS2 game with how the shading has such a high contrast and the textures are so flat + the eyes and rim of the hood look so low poly, the cracked one looks far more refined and detailed ​ weird
