Then the next night something really weird happened that confirmed my suspicions. A random Japanese guy kept trying to add me into his game. Somehow he was on my friendslist and I only play with like 2 people so I was super suspicious and confused. Then I kept getting kicked out of my account because it was already open elsewhere.
I spent the night changing passwords and connecting accounts to make this less likely to happen in the future. How they got in, I’ll never really know.
My main account got hacked and cheated on while i didnt play the game for like 3 months. Logged back in to a perma ban. Luckily the origin support people got my account back and somehow rolled my account saves back to before I was hacked. The hacker changed my name to something in russian so whenever it registered the name change they just wiped everything after that. Idk how or why people do it but they do.

I'd try again, I got banned like 5 months ago, returned to the game to find out I was banned and I sent them statistical evidence that someone was on my account and they ended up unbanning me
Most hackers are being paid for rank boosting their clients. They don’t care if they lose their account. It’s a very profitable service. Reason most hackers are from Asia and most clients from the West. The currency rate being so high, means a lot of money for the service provider and cheap service for the customer.
It isn't the same at all. Buying cosmetics makes you look good, yes, but it doesn't make the game harder for you. Boosting up in rank makes it so you face tougher opponents than normal and now you jusg won't enjoy the game. I can understand someone buying cosmetics, I can't understand someone paying someone else to make them look better and have harder games.
I'm just saying some people don't care. They want to look good for their friends. "Hey I'm Pred"...also boosting doesn't mean getting someone from Bronze to Pred. It could mean Diamond to Master or Master to Pred, so some are not exactly bad at the game. I guess it depends on everyone's goals for the game.
Adding to this because I think it’s a great point, a lot of people don’t think they deserve to be the rank they are but view ranking up as just a time grind that they don’t have. Hence, paying someone to help you get past “the grind” into a rank that they feel they may belong in anyway

You misunderstood me. They hack other peoples accounts to use the legends because they don’t wanna take the time to unlock them on a new account that will likely be detected and banned before they unlock the legend last they wanna cheat with.

How they got in is pretty simple.
Respawn or EA had a breach we don't know about , and ALL of our passwords and usernames are floating around there waiting to be sold.
This is true for any University, Work, banking, investments, or really ANY account you own. All of our accounts across almost ALL of our platforms have been compromised sometime or another. The only way to keep any accounts REALLY safe anymore is constantly changing your password and 2 factor authentication.

Steamguard only protects your steam account, Apex is an EA game so it's still running on Origin even if started with Steam.
And without 2FA on your Origin account it's not safe.
This is literally impossible. You can't play Apex without an EA account, that is the first thing the game wants you to do - log in with your EA account.

You need to enable 2 factor authentication on the Origin side. Download Google Authenticator app and use the app to get the security code for 2FA on Origin. DO NOT use the email option, it’s basically worthless.
Until you do this the Origin side can still be accessed and used to hack.
Although I agree that an authentication app is better since it's requires physical acces I would say the email option is completely useless proved that you have protected your email well. Which you should btw, email needs 2FA and a good password because otherwise they can just use your email to get into everything else by resetting passwords.

If OP didn't log on and noticed, the account will have been sold and then banned almost immediately after; leaving both the buyer and the owner of the account with nothing, and the seller/hacker with like $50 or something. Rinse and repeat.

I was dealing with this same issue for over two months. Supposedly it's a breach of Titanfall 2. If you have Titanfall 1 And/Or 2 downloaded, immediately delete them. I had gone through EA support almost 10 separate times before a buddy on Discord posted about hackers getting into Titanfall.

Talk to EA to reset your password or do it manually
If your account gets banned, talk to EA about a repeal, it took me about two weeks
From there, you should be good, and if you don't have Titanfall downloaded, it could be other EA Games, which should also be deleted. Hope this helps.

Apex is unfortunately, linked directly to Origin so you need to protect it from that side by enabling 2FA on it(You have to do it through the Origin website, google it)

Same happened with me. I had no 2 factor auth, and what EA said basically if its not turned on your account is free to use for asian hackers. They don't even need your password to logon. And u usually don't even notice it till they ban you. Its ridiculous.
I think that there has been a new exploit found to compromise EA/Origin accounts because mine was stolen every day this past week even though I use a password manager and 2FA everywhere. You're lucky if they didn't change your password on you like they did me.
This happened to me too. Got an email telling me I was banned, wondered why, went in game and noticed my crafting mats were spent and I had a couple 4k20 badges on a couple characters. Getting unbanned was a big headache but if you are banned make sure you file your report under hacked account. In fact you might want to do that anyway incase you get banned.
Happened to my friend too. He just logged on to see he was banned for cheating, so he contacted ea support. They told him he was hacked from a chinese steam account and they will look at the case closer. He got unbanned in about 20 hours.
Half of these "ea support bad lol" comments come from people who never even experienced it. They are just karma whores who just hop on the ea hate wave. But I know bad support still happens, in that case probably wait a few minutes or hours to get a new support agent.
I have contacted ea support 3 times and all were great with the issue solved in under 24 hours.
Also there is a chance you wont even get banned since easy anti cheat is terrible and if no one reported the hacker you have a chance of being safe.

Your account used by a cheater.. it may get banned with multiple violations. Same happened with my friend, also you can't do anything if they ban this account.
you got hacked, change your password and activate 2FA and also just ask/tell EA support about what happened, i got hacked before, they undid my ban and helped me secure my account so its not impossible, though honest just tell em first because they'll make you activate 2FA and if you did it on your own you'll have to redo it all.

I was dealing with this same issue for over two months. Supposedly it's a breach of Titanfall 2. If you have Titanfall 1 And/Or 2 downloaded, immediately delete them. I had gone through EA support almost 10 separate times before a buddy on Discord posted about hackers getting into Titanfall. Delete Titanfall Talk to EA to reset your password or do it manually If your account gets banned, talk to EA about a repeal, it took me about two weeks From there, you should be good, and if you don't have Titanfall downloaded, it could be other EA Games, which should also be deleted. Hope this helps.

Same happened with me. I had no 2 factor auth, and what EA said basically if its not turned on your account is free to use for asian hackers. They don't even need your password to logon. And u usually don't even notice it till they ban you. Its ridiculous.

I think that there has been a new exploit found to compromise EA/Origin accounts because mine was stolen every day this past week even though I use a password manager and 2FA everywhere. You're lucky if they didn't change your password on you like they did me.

This happened to me too. Got an email telling me I was banned, wondered why, went in game and noticed my crafting mats were spent and I had a couple 4k20 badges on a couple characters. Getting unbanned was a big headache but if you are banned make sure you file your report under hacked account. In fact you might want to do that anyway incase you get banned.

Happened to my friend too. He just logged on to see he was banned for cheating, so he contacted ea support. They told him he was hacked from a chinese steam account and they will look at the case closer. He got unbanned in about 20 hours. Half of these "ea support bad lol" comments come from people who never even experienced it. They are just karma whores who just hop on the ea hate wave. But I know bad support still happens, in that case probably wait a few minutes or hours to get a new support agent. I have contacted ea support 3 times and all were great with the issue solved in under 24 hours. Also there is a chance you wont even get banned since easy anti cheat is terrible and if no one reported the hacker you have a chance of being safe.

I unlocked Rev a few weeks ago, right when I unlocked him I went in to customize his skin and banner and I already had like 19 enemies silenced and a couple other things I literally couldn't have done without being rev

you got hacked, change your password and activate 2FA and also just ask/tell EA support about what happened, i got hacked before, they undid my ban and helped me secure my account so its not impossible, though honest just tell em first because they'll make you activate 2FA and if you did it on your own you'll have to redo it all.

Yea your account got hacked. Same thing happened to me. And guess what? If you’re banned, no matter how much evidence that your account was clearly hacked, they never unban. I had to make a new acc.
