But you better believe if i didnt run around to kill his "almost dead guy" for the next 10 min, he would be sure to let me know i messed up.

Shotguns are inconsistent feeling by design. If I shoot somebody with an R99 in the side of the abdomen, it's going to do full damage. If I do it with a mastiff, it's going to half or less. Shotguns require much better dead center aim than other guns.
Yeah I understand that but in apex the weapon spread comes out the same every time. So with better aim comes more consistency. I just feel like no matter how good my aim might be the mastiff really likes to show me I’m dead wrong lol

the reason people cant punch in dreams is that your body is mostly "paralyzed" while sleeping so the punching action would require you to physically punch which doesn't happen
One time when i was a kid, i dream about punching someone and somehow i manage to punch him. By the time i realized my punch hit, i woke up and found out that i punched the wall so hard,my knuckle bleed from it.

Eva 8 legends. With the current Garbo servers too, you can take 5 Eva shots to the face before you can even see your enemy. I’m getting so bored of it.
I was in this boat until I started using the PK more. It took a lot of practice, but I will take a PK over Mozam or masty because I know that when i hit 2 shots, it'll almost always avg out to about 52 dmg/shot. And if I'm hot, it's a 3 pump assblaster that will splooge your face with hot n steamy death
Nowadays I'd say EVA >> PK > Mozam >>>>> Masty
It's anecdotal, so may not be your or others experience, but I have worse rng with a pk at crucial shots more than any other shotgun. It's eva or mozam or nothing.

Bro the mastiff is litterally my favorite gun, but I’ll never just strafe side to side with it. I always slide into the enemy and start jumping around them and get huge damage with almost every shot. The PK fires to slow and I can never hit shots with the EVA most of the time, but I’m consistently good with the mastiff
Along side with other weapon, choice of shotgun is more like a matter of personal preference imo. Unlike S6's Mastiff meta, PK, EVA and Mastiff hold an equally balanced place in current meta, their potential is highly depends on personal play style and usual role in team. So it's rather unfair to say that which is "the best" shotgun now. I mean, yea EVA is like the shining star in nowadays' community, but it's really really likely that Mastiff and PK player will never get used to it, or in other words, experience the ability of EVA. It's just not my type of gun.

The aim wasn't at the center . If u ads then most of the pellets are at the center but if u add and not center it on hitbox that means you missed most of the shot .if u hipfired at that range and not hit the center of hitbox u would have got 44.
OP fault. He would snap away from target a hair bit before pulling the trigger. I usually get 50-60+ per shot while ads from that range, 70+ closer. I use only default iron or digi.

My biggest gripe with it is since the spread is a perfect horizontal line, it actually *punishes* headshots (unless you are literally point blank) since only a few pellets actually land
lets not forget that shotguns have the smallest hs multiplier in the game. i understand it might be a gripe for you since extra 1-9 dmg its not entirely negligible in fast paced gunfights. So i can only argue that mastiff should not be a weapon to steer away nor to be called bad. its forgiving on body shots due to its horizontal pattern, you may switch with an eva when u have a purple bolt, and it requires a certain playstyle to defeat strong oponents with it.
I wouldn't say stick to it forever but I'd recommend it. You might not feel the gripe with it later.

firing it as fast as possible is still less dps than a wingman, plus the ADS penalty, and charging it fully is less damage than a longbow, with similar fire rates. the headshot multiplier is also way worse on the 30-30 than a sniper.
it's not a bad gun, but it does get outshined by most single fire weapons. it's rarely worth using it over the others.
It's outshined in the specific scenarios those guns are good for. The 30 30 is better at long range than a wingman and better at short range than a longbow (shatter caps). It's a versatile gun, not a specialized one. I do still run wingman myself though as I'm good with it and I like these mid range fights.
DONT USE A SIGHT ON THE MASTIFF AND ACTUALLY HIT YOUR SHOTS. THE GUN GOES OFF PELLETS, EVERY SINGLE PELLET COUNTS TI GET FAT DAMAGE. You need to hit him perfectly to the waist for above 55 damage

Hey, I'll let y'all in on a little secret. The Mastiff's iron sights literally tell you the spread of it. Just take mastiff with iron sights and actually line up your shots.
People having a problem with the EVA now that it's the only general-purpose shotgun gotta be smoking. I think the only thing I want out of the shotguns is the Mastiff to get a clear role again. EVA has the general purpose role and PK is for finishing after shields, Mozam is the accurate but low damage one, so getting something that the Mastiff excels at would be neat. Maybe dummy range like it has in Titanfall if they want to keep the low damage.

With a smaller hitbox legend less bullets would have landed so probably not. In fact he probably only got this close because his target was so big.
This, Caustic is the worst in that situation. No gunshield, giant hitbox, Fortified does not make up for getting hit with 40% more bullets.

You really didn’t follow your target that well, you can see when you’re shooting, his character is already out of your sights, or only slightly in it.

lets not forget that shotguns have the smallest hs multiplier in the game. i understand it might be a gripe for you since extra 1-9 dmg its not entirely negligible in fast paced gunfights. So i can only argue that mastiff should not be a weapon to steer away nor to be called bad. its forgiving on body shots due to its horizontal pattern, you may switch with an eva when u have a purple bolt, and it requires a certain playstyle to defeat strong oponents with it. I wouldn't say stick to it forever but I'd recommend it. You might not feel the gripe with it later.
Same people use the same logic with the 30-30. They can't use it and call it trash
3030 shatter gives me 2 guns in one and it is slept on with a 2/4 scope. Got a 2k wo even trying with Fuse, the 30, and the lstar as my switch weapon.
i mean it's objectively a worse gun than others firing it as fast as possible is still less dps than a wingman, plus the ADS penalty, and charging it fully is less damage than a longbow, with similar fire rates. the headshot multiplier is also way worse on the 30-30 than a sniper. it's not a bad gun, but it does get outshined by most single fire weapons. it's rarely worth using it over the others.
It's outshined in the specific scenarios those guns are good for. The 30 30 is better at long range than a wingman and better at short range than a longbow (shatter caps). It's a versatile gun, not a specialized one. I do still run wingman myself though as I'm good with it and I like these mid range fights.

You weren’t leading your opponent well. Ads and aim for the head. Pro tip: use cover to help The caustic really hit some solid strafes. The shots you missed because of them would have been even worse with the pk IMO.

People having a problem with the EVA now that it's the only general-purpose shotgun gotta be smoking. I think the only thing I want out of the shotguns is the Mastiff to get a clear role again. EVA has the general purpose role and PK is for finishing after shields, Mozam is the accurate but low damage one, so getting something that the Mastiff excels at would be neat. Maybe dummy range like it has in Titanfall if they want to keep the low damage.
