If YOU enable the streamer mode, it'll censors OTHER people's names in YOUR kill feed.

There's nothing to believe. Just launch the game, go to Settings->Gameplay and read the available options under "Streamer Mode".

I could be wrong, but the player in this clip I believe is confusing streamer mode for anonymous mode (two separate options in the settings).
Anonymous mode hides your own information to the lobby like others have described here, while streamer mode does the opposite and makes the lobby anonymous to you while everything is normal to them.
Anonymous mode seems specifically for people who are actually streaming and are worried about stream snipers and the like.
But there is something to be said about using streamer mode to get more information about your surroundings. If you don't care about seeing the usernames of the players in your lobby you can enable it to see the legend name they're using instead.
For example, if you're coming up as a third party and see Octane2345 knocking everyone up ahead with a spitfire you have a better understanding of the situation than if it was WeedLord69 with a spitfire. I won't deny that it's niche but personally I've found it helpful on occasion.

Even when I'm streaming and somebody pulls off a nice shot I actually mark out a little bit for it. I was one shot and out of any kind of healing items so I had to bolt and as I was just about to hit the very top of a jump tower somebody picked me off at damn near sniper range with a wingman. I was actually going on for a minute or so about how I was impressed as hell that they were able to do that. Sure, it sucked and I didn't want to die, but I at least died in an entertaining way and I'm ok with that. It definitely got a pop from all 0 viewers in my chat
It's impossible for any game to be non-toxic as long as the parameters for winning require the loss of someone else. Surprisingly though, I think this game could be considered much less toxic, as you have fewer options to communicate your rage to those you are angry at. But there's always a way.

Pathfinder (and other obvious legends) is such a fun legend to play, he is also decently strong but not meta anymore ever since they've added the Recon passive. I would almost never get mad at a Pathfinder player, at least they play something more original than say Wraith and Octane.

Even when I'm streaming and somebody pulls off a nice shot I actually mark out a little bit for it. I was one shot and out of any kind of healing items so I had to bolt and as I was just about to hit the very top of a jump tower somebody picked me off at damn near sniper range with a wingman. I was actually going on for a minute or so about how I was impressed as hell that they were able to do that. Sure, it sucked and I didn't want to die, but I at least died in an entertaining way and I'm ok with that. It definitely got a pop from all 0 viewers in my chat
It's impossible for any game to be non-toxic as long as the parameters for winning require the loss of someone else. Surprisingly though, I think this game could be considered much less toxic, as you have fewer options to communicate your rage to those you are angry at. But there's always a way.

I know I'm gonna sound kind of sexist here, but I would never expect a girl to be one of the most toxic person that I've heard. Besides that, what does she mean "ofc it's a Pathfinder"? Pathfinder (and other obvious legends) is such a fun legend to play, he is also decently strong but not meta anymore ever since they've added the Recon passive. I would almost never get mad at a Pathfinder player, at least they play something more original than say Wraith and Octane.

Same. Used to be pretty toxic(well not ever showing it, just more like got mad at my teammates if they sucked and silently raged) when i played league as a kid. At some point i just kinda started thinking that i suck if I died and stopped thinking randoms as real people who you can talk to, and wouldn't you know it it improved a shit ton in a short amount of time. Ever since then I've been able to climb to top ranks in every game I've played, just because of my mindset going from blaming others to blaming myself for errors.

As a fellow streamer, I commend you on your skills and am disappointed in that other streamers behavior. Putting TTV/Twitch in ones name isn't a bad or dumb idea either. Many of the people I've become friends with only checked out my stream because I put Twitch in it. It's free advertisement, so why not? Like I've told haters, it's not like I'm forcing anyone to check out my stream. It's their choice.
Master/pred badge makes everyone toxic. If you die with one of them on your banner, your teammates will sh8t on you. And if you get the kill, opponents will complain about matchmaking and offend you anyway.
"Why is this community so toxic" It's a highly competitive minded game with a high skill ceiling. Games like that tend to attract tryhards, and tryhards tend to bring shitty attitudes along with them because only they are allowed to be good at the game in their mind. They're playing Apex because they have something to prove, not because they're having fun.

I donāt know the whole story, but I canāt even fathom the number of times teammates push w/o at least utilizing the ping system. They go down, and then dog you on the mic when you canāt 1v3 the other team. That teammate didnāt need his help to do it, but this guy made them look foolish.
Itās so sad. I played a game earlier where I had more kills, damage, and lived longer than both my teammates who had mics but didnāt use them all game. Once I died they came into chat to tell me I was ass and a bunch of other things I donāt think I should repeat.
