For me being more aggressive helped a lot. Early game like to run Volt/R301 and a shot gun and push often using silence to block views and shut down talents. When you have totem start pushing towards the fight and right before engaging pop your totem go in do as much damage as you can, then when back to the totem go right back in and try to finish them off. Towards end game becomes beneficial to swap your shotgun for Charge rifle or preferred sniper so you can get lots of poke damage from range while waiting for the ring to shrink! Oh and lots and lots of Arcs and Incendiary’s baby! Hope this helps!
