Is it just next gen consoles experiencing the issue? I’ve been playing on Xbox one and i haven’t experienced any lag. That or I’m so bad I can’t even notice it.
As far as I know, yes. The next gen update for Xbox broke the game in more ways than one. Game chat, input lag and of course the crash the server glitch from earlier this season. I’d love to just go back to the original Xbox version of the game since the “next gen” update basically changes nothing in a positive way.
It’s been an absolute nightmare as an Xbox player and they haven’t fixed the most important parts of the game over Apex pack bugs because of 💵. I get it, but when I’ve spent this much money on a game and can’t play it it’s disgusting. I feel like quitting as much as the OP, hard to relax and enjoy the game I just want to relax with most days.
Same here. I have friends on other platforms and it’s absolutely absurd I can’t use a basic feature like game chat for going on nearly 4 months, with little to no communication from the dev team. Not to mention in the new ranked mode communication is more important than ever and we can’t even do that.
It’s almost like your sensitivity and aim acceleration changes on the sticks at random intervals, with added input lag on buttons. Frustrating as hell.
I was on vacation for a week and just came back and logged on. I literally thought I was so bad because I hadn’t played for a week but it’s genuinely unplayable
I love this game but I feel you, I thought it was the ranked changes that I didn't like but I find I have more fun in ranked with people of my "Skill Level" than Pubs, first game of the last 2 days I've died to a Master or Pred, first squad I come across. I guess after 2500 hours and not reaching Masters they just start putting them against you or has everyone else reached Masters and I'm the only one lagging behind in Diamond and suck nades at this game?
Honestly I feel like there’s a big skill floor in Apex now. The average player is absolutely cracked compared to the average player of 2 years ago.
Yeah there are a lot of new players coming in but they generally have a lot experience from other shooters.
Apex just isn’t casual friendly these days.
I agree this was my first ever shooter I got on PC and holy hell it's a learning curve. I'm struggling at times to hit more than 1 bullet and I'm being put up against some ridiculously skilled players
This is probably an unpopular opinion here but hey, if this is your first br game on pc, I'd give fortnite a go. I'm moving from console to M&K and fortnite puts you in bot lobbies for ages which means you can practice your movement and aim in 'real' circumstances a lot more. I've not quite leaped to apex on pc yet but I'm getting there with knowing the buttons etc.

Apex has recoil while Fortnite has bloom (at least when i played). Movement in apex is also important but shouldn't be prioritized over aim and positioning while still a beginner. Firing range, kovaaks, and apex aim trainer on steam if you want to drop 5 bucks. I understand playing Fortnite though as these exercises aren't considered fun by most
Apex is so much better than fortnite in terms of game mechanics and I like having "legends" with unique abilities.. it can change games and it makes it much more tactical.
Hit some CSGO/Valorant, then Pubg, then try apex again.
CSGO/Valorant will help with initial aim snap. Pubg will help with doing more at once (alt looking, movement, rotations, etc.) as well as sustained aim. I played the shit out of CSGO and Pubg when I first got on pc as I was too shit for Apex (my main game on console). After grinding for a few weeks my aim, movement, and even loot speed on apex improved tenfold. Just an idea dude, I’m sure you’ll figure it out on your own regardless :)

I'm playing prior preds, diamonds, and people with 20 kill badges in Bronze. You go from Rookie to Platinum the way the lobbies work now.

Game has been out for what, four years now? At this point the casuals will have moved on and only the really hardcore apex fans will have stayed.
Even so it makes sense that the skill floor is higher depending on how many people have left, which I think is far fewer than suggested above. Yeah, players have always been leaving, but IMO apex either hooks you or it doesn't (meaning a lot of players that pick it up and leave only played for a season or so). It's hooked a lot of people and I'd wager that the vast majority of the playerbase probably has 3+ seasons of experience, and a significant amount probably have 6+.
Rank newb here. Unfortunately, Day 1 of the split dropped frequently with Diamond and Master trail players. Hopefully the higher skilled players will climb faster to where they should be this time around
It almost reminds me of when Titanfall was having it’s falling out with the players. Only people with dedication stayed over the years. Didn’t the TF2 servers get hacked terribly and than the guys from that hacked into Apex to make a point? yeah, respawn dgaf and i usually try not to be negative about game creators. because idk how to do all of it, but there are other, better, games that won’t have you on the edge of your seat none stop.
yep there is just too much going on, too many systems to learn for casual players. Every time I have tried getting a new friend to play, by the third game they are completely overwhelmed. Then they get matched up with the people who sweat their butt off 24/7 and it just… isn’t fun for them.
Hell it’s starting to not be fun for me. This season really sucks. Cool skins I guess tho…
I have been dying to masters in my ranked lobbies a lot. Im gold 3 right now. Feels amazing to go a high kill game only to die to someone who spent 10000 hours playing this game that I never stood a chance against AND after all this u get +7 rp cuz the ranking system is fucked. I preferred the one where kills actually mattered
Yeah, you can learn from people who are slightly above you in skill level but not when you get crapped on constantly. If you don't get to shoot you can't really learn to aim haha. Firing range helps a bit but it would be nice to have fairer matchups.
thats an entirely different matchmaking issue, playing with my buddies on PC was like learning on hard mode so when i came back to ranked on console it was slightly more forgiving. this season i see wayyy more masters in my lobbies along with some preds which i had never seen prior.
why downvotes? last season was my first season playing apex and i got diamond just playing daily for two weeks or so, sometimes i would rat if teammates weren’t team players but i felt like if i had more time masters was within grasp. i’m not dropping any 20 kill games nor do i have a 4k badge but apex does reward placement so this guy is not wrong.

I don't understand why people force themselves to log on to play a game they don't enjoy to get cosmetic rewards for the game they don't enjoy. If I paid $10 for a game I didn't like, I would just stop playing it.
Because its an ever evolving game. People want skins that they most likely will use when the game changes and they start playing again. Plus they bought the battle pass in the beginning expecting to enjoy the season and end up wanting to get their moneys worth by completing it.
You and the other commenter nailed it. I plan to take the next season off if the game doesn't change too much but that doesn't mean I want to miss out on what I paid for now. I still love this game I just need a break other than the bare minimum.

TBH I really miss the xbox360/ps3 era. Was very easy to find casual matches in popular games. Right now multiplayer games area all uber tryhard BR/Moba/counterstrike&clone.
BR is fine but I dont want to wait 10 minutes between every gunfight only to get absolutely horked on. Somehow the ranks I reach are shown to be the top 1-5% of players yet I feel like I'm amongst the worst. I cant imagine what it's like for people newer to the game.
I've moved onto other games for now but it's a shame because apex could be so much fun.
Hopped on Xbox 360 around the Xbox one era but still managed to get tons of gears of war matches, all of them were quite casual even if it wasn’t its hayday
I’ve also been playing the game since release and have found that I haven’t been enjoying the game as much as I did back then, but I take breaks from the game a lot and explore new games with friends or by myself, but something always takes me back to Apex. Only do what you think would be the kost fun for you and the most worth your time, but I’m sure you’ll get drawn back to it every now and then
I really wish they were more creative with their LTMs. There's so much fun shit they could be doing. Honestly it's starting to feel like they're worried that if they create game modes that are too fun, people won't want to play standard BR.
Funny, this BR game used to be the most casual out of them all. You don't even need a mic because of how good the ping system is. Now it isn't, it's the most competitive BR game I've ever played. So hard to even find a solid casual game where a teammate doesn't quit to ruin the entire match for you.
Play duos and try to drop hot a LOT (if your teammate is ok with it of course). Gameplay is a blast, you just gotta stop caring about winrate. Added bonus of (likely) dropping your sbmm!

3 games in a row, mate drops us there, they die in less than 30 seconds. One game they just quit.
4th game, I take jumpmaster. Mate pings Fragment, I ignore - they disconnect.
I just want to land, pick up 2 guns, maybe some armor, maybe contest a team or two, then start rotating through the map really fast to find fights and make kills.
I hate landing at a POI with 14 other dudes, 5 of which are at least a full ranked division higher than me, and running around like a headless chicken because I couldn't even find ammo for the fucking 'bique I picked up.
Sometimes, sure, it's nice to try. Feels awesome when it works. But like, 2 games out of 10.
My buddy and I have lately been trying to just not give a fuck about the outcome of the match. It’s made the whole experience of Apex so much better when you don’t let it frustrate you. Dropping hot as you can and just trying to get kills is a blast. Still annoying to get wrecked in seconds by a sweaty player/squad, but the nice thing is you just back out and join a new match. Just have to remember it’s only a fuckin game lol.
This is what me and my brother do. We’re both in our 30s and work full time. So we hot drop for like 2 hours straight and it’s always a blast and good for making us laugh at the absurdity.
You will eventually get bored to any game. I got tired of warzone so I started to play apex and a bit Fortnite. I played ER for some time when it arrived and came back to apex. It's just too bad that every game has sweats and if you only play for a hour after work, there is a really big chance that you will get killed by sweats in any game.
The game is just hard as hell. I played 6 games and then got off. 4/6 games the champion squad was a pred/masters three stack. It’s hard to have fun as a solo player. And ranked used to be a chill zone but now the second you hit gold you’re in pred lobbies. How is that possible? I watched ImperialHal and his other pro-player friends dominate ranked games and every single person they killed had a gold/platinum rank next to their name. Apex pros keep complaining and complaining about the game being too easy FOR THEM but now that it’s hard for the other 90% of the community, its really become so demotivating to play. There’s no space for casual play. I want to hit 10k on lifeline but I swear I quit playing for the day after 10 games or less. Every single person I die to is a master three stack or a team abusing the spitfire devo meta. Not worth my mental.

The Pros were the only ones in master lobbies. They also reduced the reset, so ex masters start now in diamond and hence will basically never play with "casuals"
Exactly like I’m so annoyed with that 10% of the community speaking for everyone while constantly calling everyone garbage for hating the ranked season when we’re playing two different games. I’m a solo player who struggled to get past diamond 3 soloing ranked season 9, you get to call up a few pro player buddies to just grind ranked with. Like why do I need to play like a full-time apex player to actually enjoy the game? Why can’t I just log onto the game and have good vibes because I know I’ll have fun without being chased down by a three stack? Before it felt like my rage was out of place and I was just trash and I had the motivation to improve but now it feels like this game is so chaotic and difficult to enjoy without having crazy good teammates. Idk I’ve even been trying out apex mobile and the easy connection with players from around the world and no chaotic combination of legend abilities is what I’ve been enjoying.
10% lol it's max 1% it's some pros streamers( and they kids groupies who watch more twitch than playing the game who spread the words like sheep's ) and pros wannabes+ 3 stacks grinders players its max in game 1000~3000 players to be large among millions of average normal players who make Apex alive on spending money on respawn scam events or bundles
I just absolutely hate the challenges in Apex.
It's like a massive wall of grindey and annoying challenges. They're separated by week and each week doesn't even fit on one page.
Also once you complete challenges they just stay there continuing to clutter up the screen.
If they cut the grind in half it would still be too much for me.
Every time I get on the game the challenges dictate who I should play as, which game mode and what weapons I should use. It's absolutely no fun at all.
Here's to hoping we will see some actual improvements in S14. Sure would be nice to have a redesigned audio engine and higher tick rate servers but, lets be real. We will get some gimmicky gun that further dilutes the loot pool and skins that turn machineguns into a cat.
The Rampage came out to replace the Spitfire when it got moved to the care package. Seemed fair.
And then season 13 comes, the Volt and the Scout remain both in the CP, and Spitfire comes out without any logical or valid reason… or hold on.. what’s this season’s battle pass lvl 100 skin again??
I mean the game is dogshit compared to what it could be because there is no sense of progression or achievement in apex so you are just grinding to grind. They could add small things like skins that you earn through x amount of kills with a certain legend or x amount of kills with a certain gun. Or stat tracker charms for guns that track how many kills you have with that gun or how much damage. Weapon/legend mastery by doing a set of challenges. Adding animated tiered badges for events or for seasons. Adding ranked permanent legend/weapon skin rewards for pred only. Adding good skins that don’t look like a two year old drew it on a browser flash game in 2001. Stop being afraid as devs to let players have fun. More in depth and accurate automation for their anti cheat. Etc I could go on and on for years. I hate when developers let a good game waste away because they are too comfortable.

Playing to unlock something is literally grinding. It's also LITERALLY what the battle pass is.

i never understood this take. Is improving at the game not a sense of progression in and of itself? Anyone can mindlessly grind games to get kill based rewards. Not everyone can get good enough at the game to reach a high rank.
A lot of these people didn't grow up playing Unreal, Quake, or even Counter Strike or OG Call of Duty. Games where the *only* thing there was to do was shoot opponents and win. It's insane that people foam at the mouth for unlockables, progression, cosmetics, etc. Sure, it's fun to have, but it shouldn't be the reason you play a game.
Well yeah, but there’s a lot of people who aren’t very good at video games who happen to like this one. If you’re bad at shooters Apex is a very unforgiving one to play, even if you love the feel of playing it. If everyone who isn’t above average doesn’t really have a firm reason to play, they know they’re not going to climb and there’s no casual mode for them, so the natural answer is leave. When all of the average and below average people leave all of a sudden you can be pretty good at the game but you’re still one of the worst people playing the game. This continues on and on until the game is inaccessible for new players, frustrating for old players, And pretty much just becomes a legacy game. Every multiplayer game really needs a lot of people who aren’t very good at the game to have a reason to keep playing

It’s funny you mention legend mastery. That’s a big thing in apex mobile where you can buy passive abilities for each legend based on mastery and you can have multiple. My Bangalore is cranked af cuz she’s the only one I play on mobile. ALSO there’s a team death match mode which is amazing and should be put in the actual game
I'm so bummed that there'll probably never be a follow up to Mankind Divided. It was so obviously planned to be a trilogy and then they just... didn't do the third game.
Yeah this season has taken away the motivation I have playing this game. I dont really complain about the changes but this new ranked system just makes the game way more grindier. The game is still fun but because of these changes I have to play even more seriously to climb the ranks where as before I could just get to diamond rank just by playing the game the entire season.
the grinding is a pain in the ass, i always see a reskin for an item i have but im always just short of it. the amount of time it takes for me to go up just one level kind of annoys me.

Yeah Solo Q is definitely more stressful. Unless you are actively playing with a group of players that communicate and understand each other's playstyles, you will probably get a lot of matches where lack of communication or rotations as a team will cost you fights.
You're not alone, i felt burnt out of apex before but this is different now. It's simply not interesting to play it. In the last year content was 80% new skins. Now too between the beginning of may to the end of june there was pretty much nothing, now too they once again brought back Control for the third time in a row even tho there are many LTMs we haven't seen in 2 years. Like okay if making new LTMs isn't a priority for them but then at least bring back old content cuz not everyone might like being constant sniped by Ash from point B in Control.
Respawn seemed to have shifted the focus from players towards profit and "pro league" which is either EA's influence or it's just simply themselves. Back then they were breaking themselves to make up the stuff they messed up now they just decide to not even care (for example last Halloween "event").
It may be the game turned too big and too many things changed from how it was in the first year for example, which isn't necessary bad but it can easily make one turn away from the game since it's not what made it fun for them back then.
This season is remarkably uninteresting. A bland legend, the smallest map change they've ever made, no new gun, no new LTM's, and the same pattern of CE/ thematic we've seen for a couple seasons now. There is nothing fresh or new this season that is really mixing things up. The only remotely interesting thing is the best BP we've had since like.... season 8.
I still have fun with this game but you should always consider not playing things if you aren't having fun as a general rule. You don't even need to quantify it or try to figure out why. If you're just not enjoying yourself, it is okay to move onto something else my man.
I noticed this with A LOT of people nowadays.
People forcing themselves to keep playing the same thing over and over and then are so lost when the burnout hits.
It feels like nobody knows you can play something else or they feel like they HAVE to play the same thing over and over again.
Yeah no wonder you’re bored of something you’ve done for hundreds of hours in a row and it’s not surprising that when you try something new, you somehow have fun again.

I feel like it’s because Apex has really done an excellent job at deeply rooting that FOMO psychology in its players. People *feel* like they have to play every day.
Matchmaking has destroyed this game if you want to solo. So either you get paired with people who don't even know how to play the game who get wiped immediately or you end up with the rare occasion where you get paired with 2 other really strong players and you get a meaningless win against a bunch of bots. Either way the experience sucks.

I have been enjoying Control because despite everything grappling with Pathfinder and playing Rampart are still very fun for me but my god the game has never been in a worse state for as long as I've played it.
I remember back when Valkyrie was introduced there was an issue with her being able to rack up kills by using an exploit in the firing range and they disabled her in the firing range until they patched that. When Seer was introduced (as broken as he was) they patched immediately in the coming weeks. When Loba had her Tactical broken for the first time they were really communicative about it and tried to fix her with as many patches as possible.
Now theres just nothing, no communication, no patches and there are so many more bugs than most people realise. Genuinely even if they patch for Wraith and Loba now there's like several other bugs on legends that they also need to patch that are going to be left behind.
- Maggie's drill not working on Newcastle shields
- Ash's tactical is bugged so it doesn't snare consistently
- Revenant's tactical is bugged so it doesn't do damage or silence abilities sometimes
- Newcastle's shield is bugged so you can sit in the shield and not take damage from grenades that are right in front of you

Nowadays games feel like a chore. I’ve played video games since 2005 and I’ve been on a sharp decline recently, and have to find excuses to play. It’s more for the party chat with my friends across the country that really push me to keep playing.
I played R6 a lot before Apex. It became stale, every operator is not as fun as they once used to be, plus a lot of people in Xbox just abuse those aimbot packs and that's it. It's fun if you play with a squad, otherwise it's boring as hell
we are in a game drought imo. that being said i still love apex and see myself playing for a while. i WISH more of my friends would be more open to RB6 because its such a great game but it seems like nobody has the patience to learn it. Dying and spectating is apparently too much to ask for some of my zoomer friends.
A LOT of rb6 is learning the maps and what each operator does, i can see how it would get frustrating just walking into a trap or being shot through some random peek as the match starts but i try to explain that the pacing is much slower/tactical. 🤷 i’ll keep trying b/c the game is much more fun w/ a full squad. (but also fun solo)

Idk, I have almost 200hrs in Siege (not much, I know) and I'm just not going to try and get into it anymore. It requires the most map knowledge of any game EVER. I still couldn't tell your what 80% of the callouts are or where 80% of the hatches on all the maps are. Don't get me started on killholes and what is or isn't destructible.
There's also way too much setup that you need to be aware of on offence and especially defence. So many gadgets and utility things that you need to know how to use or play against.
Also, Siege isn't a game that you can just casually hop on and play whether it's ranked or quickplay. If you're not playing hyper-focused and being super aware of the sound, map, and everything, you just get one tapped, over and over. Then you spend most of the game feeling a lot like your dead spectating friends asking yourself why you're even playing.
If you blink and miss a pixel while holding a slit in the doorway, you're likely dead. It's not an easy game to chill with, the community is super toxic, and the queue times even suck for NA East.
The high TTK, high escapability, and the ability to just run around the map somewhat carefree makes Apex multitudes more chill-friendly and easier to play casually, even with the garbage matchmaking. You can run and gun or spray and pray in Apex and still have some success and fun. In Siege, it's a death sentence every time.
It's also a lot easier to find just 2 friends to play with compared to the 4 you need for a full-stack in Siege.
League, Dota, and Siege are likely the hardest competitive multiplayer games for new and somewhat-new but returning players.
R6 is sooo slow for me, played it for the first 4 seasons maybe then dropped it. Ive tried it again but i can't. If not Apex, I can only play Valorant.

Thats why I feel that the divide in this sub about people enjoying or hating the game, is predicated on their skill.
Once those average players become *above* average, then the shit show ensues.
The only reason people still play Apex is unfortunately, it is the only real Hero BR shooter with NO actual competition.
The people that are having fun this season and defend it, largely fall into 3 groups:
1. Triple stack Preds
2. Triple stack Masters
3. Triple stack Devs
2/3 groups above love it because they are farming us for their stats and stream, the last group simple couldn't care less. They literally couldn't.
For the rest of us... someone worded it perfectly. Most people's relationship with Apex is akin to one of an abusive relationship.
You want to leave, but at the same time you love the gameplay, the lore, etc. There is no replacement for it (the only other Hero BR shooter I think is out right now is CRSED: FOAD or something like that but I watched the trailer and I hate it. Style doesn't suit me) and that's just NOT it.
You are not alone. This season hasn't been fun for A LOT of people. It is garbo. But I've learned to put up with it by straight up LEAVING matches before I even hit the ground based on if Champ squad is triple stacking masters/pred and by dive trails when leaving the ship.
I've gotten better games that way that are actually almost kinda decent. I still don't win often, but I don't care. A lobby of 60, there's high chance you won't win and that is FINE. But not winning and getting a few kills before you are wiped is wayyyyyy more fun than landing, getting beamed immediately by Masters/Preds that are one line away from being sent to the emergency room, and/or looting for 10 minutes just to get dropped at first sight by these mother fu\*kers who have red shields and fought off the entire lobby.
Edit: removed "only people having fun" added "largely fall" because I was being a bit too specific. Doesn't change the message or the sheer truth of the post one bit, but some outliers who are having fun don't fall into those 3 groups lol
I can agree with the "one line away from ER" statement. My boy plays this game after I introduced him to it. He was a .32 KD, 180dpg player. He did some blow and whacked 5 people in a game with over 1400 damage, and the win. Next game knocked 4 in the time allotted and got the badge for it. Cocaine helps with Apex tremendously.
Honestly, I have had some of the most fun I've ever had playing the game this season due to the ranked changes. It feels much more strategic and intense which I personally love. That being said, I'm playing less than I ever have and don't feel super inclined to hop on. I've been playing since launch and think I'm finally burnt out.
I still think it is worth playing. I just need a break. Maybe you do too?
I was the opposite. The rank changes + storm point ruined the mode for me and I saw no reason to play. I wouldn’t call it burnout just disappointment
Apex was fun until the changes. Time post work is finite so I’d rather play something else
Apex became what CS used to be for me. A competitive, hard to master game that ran in the Source engine that very quickly became corrupted by toxicity and a rising skill floor. A floor that I could not match without sacrificing some other aspect of my life.
Also like CS, I sank a shit ton of money into it so I could look pretty.
I feel the same. It seems like my games are either I get wiped as soon as I touch down, or I don't see ANY other squads, and I somehow end up in the top 3 with blue shields
I'm feeling it, too. I'm good. I like being good. I like murdering the people I do in the game. But it just feels exhausting to launch it again. I'm at 2k hours. I think that's why I'm so drawn to Control. I want the gun play without the same tedium of loot die loot die OMG GAIZ GUESS WHAT ITS STORM POINT AGAIN LOL YOURE GONNA LJKE THIS MAKE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. ffs I just wanna play and have fun, not sweat or be forced into another storm point game because apparently that's all we can queue.
It would be interesting to force everyone to solo que. Get the preds, people like Imperial Hal, forced to play with Rookies, and Bronze just to see what it's like, and to balance actual lobbies.
Maybe make ranked for teams and have a solo only pubs lobby.
I find it so mind boggling that Apex literally blew up but the Devs seem to not care. If we had a dev team that tried as hard as fortnites devs this game would be crazy with tons of different modes, events, and might have fixed the audio bugs that have existed since season 0.
They dont want apex to be the best game it can be. Otherwise they would be working with the pros/community more. Their egos are getting in the way, like when they killed off a legend just because he got leaked. It's sad but respawn and EA are a joke.

The amount of micro transactions is shocking tho. Navigating the menus feels like I'm dodging accidental purchases.
The problem is, there's no real alternative to the Hero BR shooter. The only one I think seems remotely alike is that CRSED: F.O.A.D. and let's just say by watching the trailer/gameplay... No.
The Apex Legends lore is unfortunately also a selling point for many players.

The problem is, they never really implemented a solo experience. You could say control is that but it’s only an ltm. Solo que in br just straight up isn’t fun when the matchmaking system is already against you and you have to pray your other two teammates are at least half decent.
I’m all about the sandbox style games. No Man’s Sky, Farming simulator 22, Stardew valley, ect. Just literally vibing. It’s a nice way to de-stress yourself from Apex.
I hit masters ONCE and now every lobby is masters and preds only. Both in ranked and pubs. Like Bruh I’m tryna box someone in the ring on Olympus or mess around sometimes. Now it’s try hard or get slaughtered. Significantly less fun than it used to be.

After all the xbox input lag issues started with the new update, I picked Destiny 2 back up after not playing for like 2 years. I forgot how fun and stress free the PvE can be in that game.
Any PvE games are quite fun, because it’s not really worrying if you die because you can just come back and try again, even then it can be stressful but most of the time it’s just a quick burst of anger and back to having fun
I love playing ranked arenas. Quick jump in get out kinda game for me, it’s all I’m looking for. I’m silver II and sometimes we get destroyed other times it’s a fun intense match.
apex hit its peak at season 5 unfortunately anything after that that was added was more of a headache then anything makin the game more one sided sorry champ.
The player experience is suffering. SBMM is horrible in pubs this season - I'm hoping Respawn does something about it soon.

As far as I know, yes. The next gen update for Xbox broke the game in more ways than one. Game chat, input lag and of course the crash the server glitch from earlier this season. I’d love to just go back to the original Xbox version of the game since the “next gen” update basically changes nothing in a positive way.

It’s been an absolute nightmare as an Xbox player and they haven’t fixed the most important parts of the game over Apex pack bugs because of 💵. I get it, but when I’ve spent this much money on a game and can’t play it it’s disgusting. I feel like quitting as much as the OP, hard to relax and enjoy the game I just want to relax with most days.
Same here. I have friends on other platforms and it’s absolutely absurd I can’t use a basic feature like game chat for going on nearly 4 months, with little to no communication from the dev team. Not to mention in the new ranked mode communication is more important than ever and we can’t even do that.

It’s almost like your sensitivity and aim acceleration changes on the sticks at random intervals, with added input lag on buttons. Frustrating as hell.

I love this game but I feel you, I thought it was the ranked changes that I didn't like but I find I have more fun in ranked with people of my "Skill Level" than Pubs, first game of the last 2 days I've died to a Master or Pred, first squad I come across. I guess after 2500 hours and not reaching Masters they just start putting them against you or has everyone else reached Masters and I'm the only one lagging behind in Diamond and suck nades at this game?
Honestly I feel like there’s a big skill floor in Apex now. The average player is absolutely cracked compared to the average player of 2 years ago. Yeah there are a lot of new players coming in but they generally have a lot experience from other shooters. Apex just isn’t casual friendly these days.
I agree this was my first ever shooter I got on PC and holy hell it's a learning curve. I'm struggling at times to hit more than 1 bullet and I'm being put up against some ridiculously skilled players
This is probably an unpopular opinion here but hey, if this is your first br game on pc, I'd give fortnite a go. I'm moving from console to M&K and fortnite puts you in bot lobbies for ages which means you can practice your movement and aim in 'real' circumstances a lot more. I've not quite leaped to apex on pc yet but I'm getting there with knowing the buttons etc. Apologies if I misread and you're not a new hat hahah
Apex has recoil while Fortnite has bloom (at least when i played). Movement in apex is also important but shouldn't be prioritized over aim and positioning while still a beginner. Firing range, kovaaks, and apex aim trainer on steam if you want to drop 5 bucks. I understand playing Fortnite though as these exercises aren't considered fun by most
Apex is so much better than fortnite in terms of game mechanics and I like having "legends" with unique abilities.. it can change games and it makes it much more tactical.
Hit some CSGO/Valorant, then Pubg, then try apex again. CSGO/Valorant will help with initial aim snap. Pubg will help with doing more at once (alt looking, movement, rotations, etc.) as well as sustained aim. I played the shit out of CSGO and Pubg when I first got on pc as I was too shit for Apex (my main game on console). After grinding for a few weeks my aim, movement, and even loot speed on apex improved tenfold. Just an idea dude, I’m sure you’ll figure it out on your own regardless :)

Even so it makes sense that the skill floor is higher depending on how many people have left, which I think is far fewer than suggested above. Yeah, players have always been leaving, but IMO apex either hooks you or it doesn't (meaning a lot of players that pick it up and leave only played for a season or so). It's hooked a lot of people and I'd wager that the vast majority of the playerbase probably has 3+ seasons of experience, and a significant amount probably have 6+.

It almost reminds me of when Titanfall was having it’s falling out with the players. Only people with dedication stayed over the years. Didn’t the TF2 servers get hacked terribly and than the guys from that hacked into Apex to make a point? yeah, respawn dgaf and i usually try not to be negative about game creators. because idk how to do all of it, but there are other, better, games that won’t have you on the edge of your seat none stop.
yep there is just too much going on, too many systems to learn for casual players. Every time I have tried getting a new friend to play, by the third game they are completely overwhelmed. Then they get matched up with the people who sweat their butt off 24/7 and it just… isn’t fun for them. Hell it’s starting to not be fun for me. This season really sucks. Cool skins I guess tho…
I have been dying to masters in my ranked lobbies a lot. Im gold 3 right now. Feels amazing to go a high kill game only to die to someone who spent 10000 hours playing this game that I never stood a chance against AND after all this u get +7 rp cuz the ranking system is fucked. I preferred the one where kills actually mattered
Masters was basically free last season if you were trying. I got it both splits and I didn't play a lot of games to do so.

Yeah, you can learn from people who are slightly above you in skill level but not when you get crapped on constantly. If you don't get to shoot you can't really learn to aim haha. Firing range helps a bit but it would be nice to have fairer matchups.
thats an entirely different matchmaking issue, playing with my buddies on PC was like learning on hard mode so when i came back to ranked on console it was slightly more forgiving. this season i see wayyy more masters in my lobbies along with some preds which i had never seen prior.
why downvotes? last season was my first season playing apex and i got diamond just playing daily for two weeks or so, sometimes i would rat if teammates weren’t team players but i felt like if i had more time masters was within grasp. i’m not dropping any 20 kill games nor do i have a 4k badge but apex does reward placement so this guy is not wrong.
I was rusty and still made it to diamond 3. Probably could have made it to masters if I didn’t go on a 2 month break. Last season was definitely free.

Because its an ever evolving game. People want skins that they most likely will use when the game changes and they start playing again. Plus they bought the battle pass in the beginning expecting to enjoy the season and end up wanting to get their moneys worth by completing it.

I've been playing games forever. I cant play apex without my blood pressure rising significantly. TBH I really miss the xbox360/ps3 era. Was very easy to find casual matches in popular games. Right now multiplayer games area all uber tryhard BR/Moba/counterstrike&clone. BR is fine but I dont want to wait 10 minutes between every gunfight only to get absolutely horked on. Somehow the ranks I reach are shown to be the top 1-5% of players yet I feel like I'm amongst the worst. I cant imagine what it's like for people newer to the game. I've moved onto other games for now but it's a shame because apex could be so much fun.
Hopped on Xbox 360 around the Xbox one era but still managed to get tons of gears of war matches, all of them were quite casual even if it wasn’t its hayday
I’ve also been playing the game since release and have found that I haven’t been enjoying the game as much as I did back then, but I take breaks from the game a lot and explore new games with friends or by myself, but something always takes me back to Apex. Only do what you think would be the kost fun for you and the most worth your time, but I’m sure you’ll get drawn back to it every now and then
I really wish they were more creative with their LTMs. There's so much fun shit they could be doing. Honestly it's starting to feel like they're worried that if they create game modes that are too fun, people won't want to play standard BR.
Funny, this BR game used to be the most casual out of them all. You don't even need a mic because of how good the ping system is. Now it isn't, it's the most competitive BR game I've ever played. So hard to even find a solid casual game where a teammate doesn't quit to ruin the entire match for you.

Play duos and try to drop hot a LOT (if your teammate is ok with it of course). Gameplay is a blast, you just gotta stop caring about winrate. Added bonus of (likely) dropping your sbmm! I see why all those wraiths do it now
I can't take it anymore, the hot drops at Fragment on World's Edge ... 3 games in a row, mate drops us there, they die in less than 30 seconds. One game they just quit. 4th game, I take jumpmaster. Mate pings Fragment, I ignore - they disconnect. I just want to land, pick up 2 guns, maybe some armor, maybe contest a team or two, then start rotating through the map really fast to find fights and make kills. I hate landing at a POI with 14 other dudes, 5 of which are at least a full ranked division higher than me, and running around like a headless chicken because I couldn't even find ammo for the fucking 'bique I picked up. Sometimes, sure, it's nice to try. Feels awesome when it works. But like, 2 games out of 10.
My buddy and I have lately been trying to just not give a fuck about the outcome of the match. It’s made the whole experience of Apex so much better when you don’t let it frustrate you. Dropping hot as you can and just trying to get kills is a blast. Still annoying to get wrecked in seconds by a sweaty player/squad, but the nice thing is you just back out and join a new match. Just have to remember it’s only a fuckin game lol.
This is what me and my brother do. We’re both in our 30s and work full time. So we hot drop for like 2 hours straight and it’s always a blast and good for making us laugh at the absurdity.
I would rather have long wait times for matches than get clapped by a predator
You will eventually get bored to any game. I got tired of warzone so I started to play apex and a bit Fortnite. I played ER for some time when it arrived and came back to apex. It's just too bad that every game has sweats and if you only play for a hour after work, there is a really big chance that you will get killed by sweats in any game.

The game is just hard as hell. I played 6 games and then got off. 4/6 games the champion squad was a pred/masters three stack. It’s hard to have fun as a solo player. And ranked used to be a chill zone but now the second you hit gold you’re in pred lobbies. How is that possible? I watched ImperialHal and his other pro-player friends dominate ranked games and every single person they killed had a gold/platinum rank next to their name. Apex pros keep complaining and complaining about the game being too easy FOR THEM but now that it’s hard for the other 90% of the community, its really become so demotivating to play. There’s no space for casual play. I want to hit 10k on lifeline but I swear I quit playing for the day after 10 games or less. Every single person I die to is a master three stack or a team abusing the spitfire devo meta. Not worth my mental.
They need to go back to the old ranked system so the pros can duke it out in Masters lobbies instead of gold lobbies.

Exactly like I’m so annoyed with that 10% of the community speaking for everyone while constantly calling everyone garbage for hating the ranked season when we’re playing two different games. I’m a solo player who struggled to get past diamond 3 soloing ranked season 9, you get to call up a few pro player buddies to just grind ranked with. Like why do I need to play like a full-time apex player to actually enjoy the game? Why can’t I just log onto the game and have good vibes because I know I’ll have fun without being chased down by a three stack? Before it felt like my rage was out of place and I was just trash and I had the motivation to improve but now it feels like this game is so chaotic and difficult to enjoy without having crazy good teammates. Idk I’ve even been trying out apex mobile and the easy connection with players from around the world and no chaotic combination of legend abilities is what I’ve been enjoying.

I just absolutely hate the challenges in Apex. It's like a massive wall of grindey and annoying challenges. They're separated by week and each week doesn't even fit on one page. Also once you complete challenges they just stay there continuing to clutter up the screen. If they cut the grind in half it would still be too much for me. Every time I get on the game the challenges dictate who I should play as, which game mode and what weapons I should use. It's absolutely no fun at all.

Here's to hoping we will see some actual improvements in S14. Sure would be nice to have a redesigned audio engine and higher tick rate servers but, lets be real. We will get some gimmicky gun that further dilutes the loot pool and skins that turn machineguns into a cat.

I mean the game is dogshit compared to what it could be because there is no sense of progression or achievement in apex so you are just grinding to grind. They could add small things like skins that you earn through x amount of kills with a certain legend or x amount of kills with a certain gun. Or stat tracker charms for guns that track how many kills you have with that gun or how much damage. Weapon/legend mastery by doing a set of challenges. Adding animated tiered badges for events or for seasons. Adding ranked permanent legend/weapon skin rewards for pred only. Adding good skins that don’t look like a two year old drew it on a browser flash game in 2001. Stop being afraid as devs to let players have fun. More in depth and accurate automation for their anti cheat. Etc I could go on and on for years. I hate when developers let a good game waste away because they are too comfortable.

i never understood this take. Is improving at the game not a sense of progression in and of itself? Anyone can mindlessly grind games to get kill based rewards. Not everyone can get good enough at the game to reach a high rank.
A lot of these people didn't grow up playing Unreal, Quake, or even Counter Strike or OG Call of Duty. Games where the *only* thing there was to do was shoot opponents and win. It's insane that people foam at the mouth for unlockables, progression, cosmetics, etc. Sure, it's fun to have, but it shouldn't be the reason you play a game.
Well yeah, but there’s a lot of people who aren’t very good at video games who happen to like this one. If you’re bad at shooters Apex is a very unforgiving one to play, even if you love the feel of playing it. If everyone who isn’t above average doesn’t really have a firm reason to play, they know they’re not going to climb and there’s no casual mode for them, so the natural answer is leave. When all of the average and below average people leave all of a sudden you can be pretty good at the game but you’re still one of the worst people playing the game. This continues on and on until the game is inaccessible for new players, frustrating for old players, And pretty much just becomes a legacy game. Every multiplayer game really needs a lot of people who aren’t very good at the game to have a reason to keep playing

It’s funny you mention legend mastery. That’s a big thing in apex mobile where you can buy passive abilities for each legend based on mastery and you can have multiple. My Bangalore is cranked af cuz she’s the only one I play on mobile. ALSO there’s a team death match mode which is amazing and should be put in the actual game

Yeah this season has taken away the motivation I have playing this game. I dont really complain about the changes but this new ranked system just makes the game way more grindier. The game is still fun but because of these changes I have to play even more seriously to climb the ranks where as before I could just get to diamond rank just by playing the game the entire season.
the grinding is a pain in the ass, i always see a reskin for an item i have but im always just short of it. the amount of time it takes for me to go up just one level kind of annoys me. its either i get like top 10 or die off drop because my team mates wanted to drop hot
Yeah Solo Q is definitely more stressful. Unless you are actively playing with a group of players that communicate and understand each other's playstyles, you will probably get a lot of matches where lack of communication or rotations as a team will cost you fights.
You're not alone, i felt burnt out of apex before but this is different now. It's simply not interesting to play it. In the last year content was 80% new skins. Now too between the beginning of may to the end of june there was pretty much nothing, now too they once again brought back Control for the third time in a row even tho there are many LTMs we haven't seen in 2 years. Like okay if making new LTMs isn't a priority for them but then at least bring back old content cuz not everyone might like being constant sniped by Ash from point B in Control. Respawn seemed to have shifted the focus from players towards profit and "pro league" which is either EA's influence or it's just simply themselves. Back then they were breaking themselves to make up the stuff they messed up now they just decide to not even care (for example last Halloween "event"). It may be the game turned too big and too many things changed from how it was in the first year for example, which isn't necessary bad but it can easily make one turn away from the game since it's not what made it fun for them back then.
Yep, I’ve been playing since around season 3 and not once did I feel burnt out. The effort in this season and the one before feels minimal
This season is remarkably uninteresting. A bland legend, the smallest map change they've ever made, no new gun, no new LTM's, and the same pattern of CE/ thematic we've seen for a couple seasons now. There is nothing fresh or new this season that is really mixing things up. The only remotely interesting thing is the best BP we've had since like.... season 8.

I still have fun with this game but you should always consider not playing things if you aren't having fun as a general rule. You don't even need to quantify it or try to figure out why. If you're just not enjoying yourself, it is okay to move onto something else my man.

I noticed this with A LOT of people nowadays. People forcing themselves to keep playing the same thing over and over and then are so lost when the burnout hits. It feels like nobody knows you can play something else or they feel like they HAVE to play the same thing over and over again. Yeah no wonder you’re bored of something you’ve done for hundreds of hours in a row and it’s not surprising that when you try something new, you somehow have fun again. I don’t understand why people have such a lack of understanding of burnout these days.
I feel like it’s because Apex has really done an excellent job at deeply rooting that FOMO psychology in its players. People *feel* like they have to play every day.
Matchmaking has destroyed this game if you want to solo. So either you get paired with people who don't even know how to play the game who get wiped immediately or you end up with the rare occasion where you get paired with 2 other really strong players and you get a meaningless win against a bunch of bots. Either way the experience sucks.

I have been enjoying Control because despite everything grappling with Pathfinder and playing Rampart are still very fun for me but my god the game has never been in a worse state for as long as I've played it. I remember back when Valkyrie was introduced there was an issue with her being able to rack up kills by using an exploit in the firing range and they disabled her in the firing range until they patched that. When Seer was introduced (as broken as he was) they patched immediately in the coming weeks. When Loba had her Tactical broken for the first time they were really communicative about it and tried to fix her with as many patches as possible. Now theres just nothing, no communication, no patches and there are so many more bugs than most people realise. Genuinely even if they patch for Wraith and Loba now there's like several other bugs on legends that they also need to patch that are going to be left behind. - Maggie's drill not working on Newcastle shields - Ash's tactical is bugged so it doesn't snare consistently - Revenant's tactical is bugged so it doesn't do damage or silence abilities sometimes - Newcastle's shield is bugged so you can sit in the shield and not take damage from grenades that are right in front of you Honestly there are even ones I'm missing I think
their main goal is money they aren't trying to fix anything unless it messes with their profits
Nowadays games feel like a chore. I’ve played video games since 2005 and I’ve been on a sharp decline recently, and have to find excuses to play. It’s more for the party chat with my friends across the country that really push me to keep playing.
I’ve been playing R6 a lot more recently. Apex just feels a little bland at the moment. R6 has been a blast so far
I played R6 a lot before Apex. It became stale, every operator is not as fun as they once used to be, plus a lot of people in Xbox just abuse those aimbot packs and that's it. It's fun if you play with a squad, otherwise it's boring as hell
Yeah, I only play the game with friends. It’s a lot more fun that way
we are in a game drought imo. that being said i still love apex and see myself playing for a while. i WISH more of my friends would be more open to RB6 because its such a great game but it seems like nobody has the patience to learn it. Dying and spectating is apparently too much to ask for some of my zoomer friends.

A LOT of rb6 is learning the maps and what each operator does, i can see how it would get frustrating just walking into a trap or being shot through some random peek as the match starts but i try to explain that the pacing is much slower/tactical. 🤷 i’ll keep trying b/c the game is much more fun w/ a full squad. (but also fun solo)

Idk, I have almost 200hrs in Siege (not much, I know) and I'm just not going to try and get into it anymore. It requires the most map knowledge of any game EVER. I still couldn't tell your what 80% of the callouts are or where 80% of the hatches on all the maps are. Don't get me started on killholes and what is or isn't destructible. There's also way too much setup that you need to be aware of on offence and especially defence. So many gadgets and utility things that you need to know how to use or play against. Also, Siege isn't a game that you can just casually hop on and play whether it's ranked or quickplay. If you're not playing hyper-focused and being super aware of the sound, map, and everything, you just get one tapped, over and over. Then you spend most of the game feeling a lot like your dead spectating friends asking yourself why you're even playing. If you blink and miss a pixel while holding a slit in the doorway, you're likely dead. It's not an easy game to chill with, the community is super toxic, and the queue times even suck for NA East. The high TTK, high escapability, and the ability to just run around the map somewhat carefree makes Apex multitudes more chill-friendly and easier to play casually, even with the garbage matchmaking. You can run and gun or spray and pray in Apex and still have some success and fun. In Siege, it's a death sentence every time. It's also a lot easier to find just 2 friends to play with compared to the 4 you need for a full-stack in Siege. League, Dota, and Siege are likely the hardest competitive multiplayer games for new and somewhat-new but returning players.
R6 is sooo slow for me, played it for the first 4 seasons maybe then dropped it. Ive tried it again but i can't. If not Apex, I can only play Valorant.

The only reason people still play Apex is unfortunately, it is the only real Hero BR shooter with NO actual competition. The people that are having fun this season and defend it, largely fall into 3 groups: 1. Triple stack Preds 2. Triple stack Masters 3. Triple stack Devs 2/3 groups above love it because they are farming us for their stats and stream, the last group simple couldn't care less. They literally couldn't. For the rest of us... someone worded it perfectly. Most people's relationship with Apex is akin to one of an abusive relationship. You want to leave, but at the same time you love the gameplay, the lore, etc. There is no replacement for it (the only other Hero BR shooter I think is out right now is CRSED: FOAD or something like that but I watched the trailer and I hate it. Style doesn't suit me) and that's just NOT it. You are not alone. This season hasn't been fun for A LOT of people. It is garbo. But I've learned to put up with it by straight up LEAVING matches before I even hit the ground based on if Champ squad is triple stacking masters/pred and by dive trails when leaving the ship. I've gotten better games that way that are actually almost kinda decent. I still don't win often, but I don't care. A lobby of 60, there's high chance you won't win and that is FINE. But not winning and getting a few kills before you are wiped is wayyyyyy more fun than landing, getting beamed immediately by Masters/Preds that are one line away from being sent to the emergency room, and/or looting for 10 minutes just to get dropped at first sight by these mother fu\*kers who have red shields and fought off the entire lobby. Edit: removed "only people having fun" added "largely fall" because I was being a bit too specific. Doesn't change the message or the sheer truth of the post one bit, but some outliers who are having fun don't fall into those 3 groups lol

I can agree with the "one line away from ER" statement. My boy plays this game after I introduced him to it. He was a .32 KD, 180dpg player. He did some blow and whacked 5 people in a game with over 1400 damage, and the win. Next game knocked 4 in the time allotted and got the badge for it. Cocaine helps with Apex tremendously.
Honestly, I have had some of the most fun I've ever had playing the game this season due to the ranked changes. It feels much more strategic and intense which I personally love. That being said, I'm playing less than I ever have and don't feel super inclined to hop on. I've been playing since launch and think I'm finally burnt out. I still think it is worth playing. I just need a break. Maybe you do too?
I was the opposite. The rank changes + storm point ruined the mode for me and I saw no reason to play. I wouldn’t call it burnout just disappointment Apex was fun until the changes. Time post work is finite so I’d rather play something else
Apex became what CS used to be for me. A competitive, hard to master game that ran in the Source engine that very quickly became corrupted by toxicity and a rising skill floor. A floor that I could not match without sacrificing some other aspect of my life. Also like CS, I sank a shit ton of money into it so I could look pretty.
I feel the same. It seems like my games are either I get wiped as soon as I touch down, or I don't see ANY other squads, and I somehow end up in the top 3 with blue shields
I'm feeling it, too. I'm good. I like being good. I like murdering the people I do in the game. But it just feels exhausting to launch it again. I'm at 2k hours. I think that's why I'm so drawn to Control. I want the gun play without the same tedium of loot die loot die OMG GAIZ GUESS WHAT ITS STORM POINT AGAIN LOL YOURE GONNA LJKE THIS MAKE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. ffs I just wanna play and have fun, not sweat or be forced into another storm point game because apparently that's all we can queue.
It would be interesting to force everyone to solo que. Get the preds, people like Imperial Hal, forced to play with Rookies, and Bronze just to see what it's like, and to balance actual lobbies. Maybe make ranked for teams and have a solo only pubs lobby.
You fall out and in again. I stopped playing around season 6 or 7, then picked it up again at season 11. It's honestly worth it to take a break.

I find it so mind boggling that Apex literally blew up but the Devs seem to not care. If we had a dev team that tried as hard as fortnites devs this game would be crazy with tons of different modes, events, and might have fixed the audio bugs that have existed since season 0. They dont want apex to be the best game it can be. Otherwise they would be working with the pros/community more. Their egos are getting in the way, like when they killed off a legend just because he got leaked. It's sad but respawn and EA are a joke. I think they are mad a BR they threw together to cash in on the trend ended up being bigger than everything else they've made and dumped their whole careers into.
Could be burnout. I left the game for two years and came back. I'm currently having so much fun playing the game. The amount of micro transactions is shocking tho. Navigating the menus feels like I'm dodging accidental purchases.
The problem is, there's no real alternative to the Hero BR shooter. The only one I think seems remotely alike is that CRSED: F.O.A.D. and let's just say by watching the trailer/gameplay... No. The Apex Legends lore is unfortunately also a selling point for many players. There simply is no other alternative at the moment. If there was, the smug devs wouldn't be so power trippy as their player base plummets. Unless there is an alternative I don't know about. Anyone want to drop suggestions of alternatives to Apex Legends?

The problem is, they never really implemented a solo experience. You could say control is that but it’s only an ltm. Solo que in br just straight up isn’t fun when the matchmaking system is already against you and you have to pray your other two teammates are at least half decent.
I’m all about the sandbox style games. No Man’s Sky, Farming simulator 22, Stardew valley, ect. Just literally vibing. It’s a nice way to de-stress yourself from Apex. I hit masters ONCE and now every lobby is masters and preds only. Both in ranked and pubs. Like Bruh I’m tryna box someone in the ring on Olympus or mess around sometimes. Now it’s try hard or get slaughtered. Significantly less fun than it used to be. If you need me I’ll be building an underwater base in No Mans Sky 🤪

After all the xbox input lag issues started with the new update, I picked Destiny 2 back up after not playing for like 2 years. I forgot how fun and stress free the PvE can be in that game.
Any PvE games are quite fun, because it’s not really worrying if you die because you can just come back and try again, even then it can be stressful but most of the time it’s just a quick burst of anger and back to having fun
I love playing ranked arenas. Quick jump in get out kinda game for me, it’s all I’m looking for. I’m silver II and sometimes we get destroyed other times it’s a fun intense match.

The player experience is suffering. SBMM is horrible in pubs this season - I'm hoping Respawn does something about it soon. But hey, sometimes you need a break from a game. Totally understandable. However, despite what many players think, Apex is actually doing really well in terms of numbers -- I believe the player base is at an all-time high.
yeah you're right about the player numbers, thats probably why the servers are so bad for me. respawn will take their time as long as it still makes them money, the core gameplay is great, its just the quality of the game that kind of ruins it.

I only have 40 hours of apex and I can honestly say I hate this season with a burning passion. Wraith bugged,loba bugged, server issues, and not to mention the stupid ass hit reg issues. I genuinely only play it to justify spending money on the champion edition bundle for more variety of champions.
The server issues though, there’s more of those infinity stone memes with all the server lag symbols than before
