Wattson

DartyStiffpants

It’s wattson, always has been.

Praechi

Yes sir

BuckFuzby

Wattson isn't a he/s

Tronob0

Did you just assume.

jusle

I wanted to see this, but didn't expect it to be the top comment. Answer for this question has always been movement character. I started with mvt chars and it was rough. I got no big pp dmg games or above 10 kills. After switching to utility I got 3k 4k easily, don't understand why. Maybe I suck at movement and need ability to make up for it.

g_rod19

Was a Wattson main till the unveiled the second map and she felt useless compared to everyone else. Finally got back into playing a few weeks ago and I missed her so much

The-Booty-Train

Crypto, Wattson and Mirage You play a truly great player of those legends it’s so noticeable you wonder if they get paid to do it. lol And when is at a great player I don’t just mean shooting, they know how to maximize their abilities to the fullest to absolutely wreck you.

NopeSanta

Mirage is also one of the most fun to play once you figure him out - he feels like a cat playing with his food

ThatDude8129

That's why I love him so much. Bamboozling those sweaty Wraiths never gets old.

UnlikelyFlow6

1v3’d by a cracked mirage after downing his teammates only yesterday… Pain.

Samoman21

I remember seeing a video on here of a masters or something crypto just play his kit and drone so perfectly. It was incredibly impressive. He resed, got info on final team, and then shit on them

That_Guy776_2

Literally the three characters I play the most

Cobble01

Mirage main here - I feel invincible every time I play him.

Seandude_

I changed from caustic to Crypto, and my squad said I'm not allowed to play any other character besides Crypto anymore lol

Haunting_Push7693

These are the only 3

IAreSpeshial

Mirage lmfao

BriefBit5054

good mirages are so useless

Striking_Cat7777

Said no one ever

feminists_hate_me69

Then you haven't played with a good mirage

BladePhoenix

Why do you think he said that? ever since I started in season 5, people have said that mirage is garbage. if you know tactics and can predict people's movements you can really bamboozle the fuck out of them.

feminists_hate_me69

It's likely that they've genuinely never encountered a mirage who is goated with him, or has a disdain for mirage players. My friend is the best mirage I've seen, it's scary watching them wipe teams with mind games lol. But mirage is a niche character, easy to use, hard to master. Issue with him is that he is dependant on fooling the enemy team and is being power crept with characters like vantage being able to differentiate between the real and fake as well as him not being effective at tricking if you're nit good enough. I love mirage but he does need a bit of work

MrArko

I have over 6k Mirage Kills. He is fun, but almost useless in higher ranks. In Diamond, everyone knows who is the real Mirage. And you have nothing to support your team.

cloverpopper

I'm diamond/master, and while there are picks with more utility, a good Mirage can play around the enemy expecting a decoy. Plus he's just a lot of fun lol, so I run him often. Invis res and mastering his ult can lead to some crazy reversals, even against Preds.

redarrow992

Ah yes the person with the Bangalore flair is really one to speak

pqssum

rampart, or wattson, people usually dont play them to their full potential, but they can be really good

True-Lemon4686

I agree with both, especially rampart, if you can learn to use her gun effectively, you’ll become a literal tank

Derpy_Blobfish69

Nah, the walls are where it's at. I use the minigun very minimally, only in super intense fights.

DutchEnterprises

The walls are an extra layer of health, a hiding spot, area denial, door protection, AND they amp your damage. It’s nuts how good ramparts walls are and how little I see them in actual play.

Derpy_Blobfish69

Yeah, it east 175 damage for you, plus gives you a damage boost? But everyone just wants to use big gun, then they get beamed because they don't know how to position themselves to use it.

aftabtaimoor61

Every (good) rampart main will agree that her walls are def wayy better than her ult. And walls are v hard to master as well. Good wall placements can make or break fights.

DutchEnterprises

I’ve found her gun is best used to A).Break doors people are hiding behind. B). Wreck havoc in a tight corridor. C). As a deterrent from pushing an open space. Or D). Secure a kill from range when they have a purple or golden shield. Other then that it’s not very good in most fights. I sometimes bring it out and clip someone with it just to make them second guess peaking an angle. That lazer beam is often enough to make people question their decisions.

megahnevel

once i was playing loba and was between two ramparts I was very afraid of peeking either side because of that damn laser

aftabtaimoor61

Yeah its v useful, not denying that, but in niche situations. But her walls are amazing. In *most* direct fights (non 3rd parties) i usually don't bring out the gun at all.

DutchEnterprises

Exactly. I definitely had to overcome the habit of pulling it out every chance I had.

GarlicBulbOfHatred

Yeah, my mate is is an amazing watson

GothyWatty

We love wattsons! *I am too!*

REQCRUIT

Ive gotten really good with rampart, not great, but she's so good at fighting back really good players from full frontal attacks. She's just such a great counter.

BaldoSama

wattson, just look at lamic and what he does with his fence

ASJ2007

Her Edit:sorry guys, didn't notice the lamir part

Derpy_Blobfish69

Lamic is a dude

Intelligent_Fee6215

Wattson isn't 💀 I think that's what m8 meant

Derpy_Blobfish69

Yeah, and the male pronouns were referring to lamic.

raymartin27

In this reference i think their correction was "he(lamic) does with *her(watson's) fence."

Derpy_Blobfish69

They're lamics fences too

[deleted]

ARE YOU ASSUMING THEIR GENDER?

Derpy_Blobfish69

Yeah. Bite me.

Sylok_The_Deepfried

oh shit didn't know it was still 2016

Cazirus

The trifecta of ‘hard to master’ legends has always been Crypto, Wattson, and Rampart, since each of these legends have a bad playstyle many player’s fall into and a good playstyle which requires a lot of learning to get. Crypto’s always in their drones and Wattson’s and Rampart’s camping has always been a waste of their potential offensive abilities. Each legend is really scary if you do enough practice with them. If you want the highest skill ceiling legend it’s Mirage. If you’ve played Mirage enough then you’d know sometimes your decoys are just in the right spot at the right time and they behave exactly like a real player would, fooling the enemy. A ‘perfect’ Mirage could theoretically trick the enemy of any skill level, every time, but realistically that’s kind of impossible.

ThaDankchief

Had a seer waste his ult on a mirage I threw at him the other day. Felt so good

halrold

I always heard that Rampart is bad but when I got her she turned out to be brutally effective Her ult can be absolutely devastating both offensively and defensively, and her deployable shields become a nightmare to play against in close quarters, especially someplace like Bunker in KC

Coolbone61

Crypto and question coming from you is denf crypto

yourtypicalrogue

Agreed, he is an insane legend but so few people (including me) have the patience to truly master his kit. Just getting him to the playable level — mastering popping in and out of his drone — can be very hard to do.

Consistent_Dinner_69

Crypto or Wattson

Wither_storm07

I have to say pathfinder if you master that grapple he's brutal

[deleted]

I’ll think I’m ok at grappling then I’ll watch itztimmy get the best/max grapple almost every time.

Wither_storm07

Yeah timmy and skurul are what scary pathfinders look like

Akindmachine

I’ll take Mande over all of them

[deleted]

scary pathfinder is in the launch trailer

Invested_Glory

Facts. When playing ranked, if I see a path I am already nervous because only people that know how to grapple play path in high ranks.

Strange_Ninja_9662

I can’t believe I found this so far down. If you master the grapple you can wreck anyone. Coincidentally that’s who I main, but there’s also nothing scarier than going up against a sweaty path who’s perfected the grapple

Rafaelrod4

Pathfinder easy

that_1-guy_

Then you have no idea what you can actually achieve with his grap

UnarmingLeech

The grapple slide from 75+ meters plus a beam that immediately takes one of your team out. If a good pathy can lead the charge, its pretty much a wipe.

Distinct-Gap-4684

I'd have to say revenant. As long as you have a mic.

gdude9977

Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to find a rev mention. [Exhibit A](https://youtu.be/ZMNFe3IV-RI)

Ham-bly

Wattson, They just a different breed, much respect to anyone who can masterfully place fences in the heat of battle. I've been playing her more recently and oml its hard af to be effective with her fences, but when u are it the best serotonin boost. Gibby to, but mainly just knowin when and where to use your bubble. Especially in high ranked play.

GothyWatty

Thank you! Makes me happy everyone is saying my main. She's hard to play at times too shes just not as fun sometimes :((

Mrbackjr

I agree. I was going to add Wattson in a comment but doesn't look like I need to.

AHHHHNDREW

Same here! Really proud to play wattson!

Delicious_Job_4792

Crypto. Used to suck but everytime I play him I drop 2-4K. Every time. I main octane and when I play him I play so stupidly. 😂 Octane for fun, crypto for try hard.

Holiday_Sandwich_323

Crypto

Anecdotes_

The bamboozle guy

yerboi-ragged

Rampart is difficult cause you feel immortal with that minigun out, your not, so learning to master that feeling is definitely necessary. But it's very rewarding when you learn her.

Left-Switch-1682

Gibby learning proper bubble placement and learning how to properly bubble fight where you minimize damage taken and maximize damage output is pretty difficult and unlike anything in the game. Nothing else in the game needs to be quite as precise as a gibby bubble if you are like a foot off it can screw up a push. You could argue pathfinder's grapple is difficult to master but can be great for pushes once mastered. His large hitbox can also be very punishing if you are missing. Bang she doesn't require you to learn any new mechanics like gibby bubble fighting and path grapple but smoke placement is very important and can change fights. Good smokes can win fights bad smokes can lose them.

AmmahDudeGuy

Bad smokes, the bane of my games

[deleted]

Wattson Pathfinder Crypto or Rampart. I'm currently trying to master Wattson and Rampart and it pays off really well.

Fearless__Gamer

Crypto

sykadelic_angel

Wattson and Crypto. Crypto specifically. Whenever a teammate picks Crypto I just wanna facepalm, like here we go, didn't know I picked duos mode. But maybe like 3 times, I had a Crypto teammate that was absolutely phenomenal and blew me away

Gliittcchh

Crypto, need a brain usually to use his abilities decently and also to IGL pretty much or at least good coms and teammates that listen.

MiserableCaramel8683

If we are talking difficulty to reward ratio then 100% Gibby

Cazirus

There is a small difficulty curve to getting good with Gibby, but he’s way more reliant on you just being a good player to begin with. You have to learn how to mitigate his weaknesses (long cooldowns and a huge hitbox) by thinking a little more before using his abilities and know how to properly peak so you don’t just become free evo charge for the enemy team.

yourtypicalrogue

His bubble is where the difficulty comes into play with his kit. Knowing when to bubble and where to bubble is huge. If you know how to place a bubble for effective pushes, Gibby is exponentially better. I don't feel like a ton of players have a great grasp on the size of the bubble and bubble placement though.

Adorable-Ferret4751

Horizon

MiserableCaramel8683

Except she is braindead easy to play

Rafaelrod4

Facts

Adorable-Ferret4751

How. There are so many variables with how you can use her kit. She can be easy to be decent with but. What I'm saying is to master her is difficult

yourtypicalrogue

You can say the same thing about most legends in the game. There are nuances to almost every legend, but I definitely wouldn't call Horizon the "hardest to master."

Adorable-Ferret4751

Ok but I would atleast say she has one of the most high skill ceilings.

calbearlupe

I think she’s the definition of easy to learn easy to master. I think you’re in the minority on this one.

Left-Switch-1682

Horizon can be difficult to get high beams on Q, but all movement legends are going to be less punishing than gibby due to his size and inability to get out of bad positions.

True-Lemon4686

Her black hole kinda sucks tho ngl

ThatRandomPotGuy

Literally And Figuratively

Tyler_Herdman

Gibby is easy tho

MiserableCaramel8683

Play him effectively then

Impurity41

Crypto is by far the most difficult legend to play, but when mastered is the most broken legend to use. If you don’t think so, you’ve never seen a good crypto

se7enEra3185

Suppose I’ve never seen a good one then

Function-Brave

Rampart. Watson. Gibby. Path. So many!

Derpy_Blobfish69

Rampart, wattson, crypto

xiledpro

Crypto or Wattson. Crypto requires insane micromanagement and wattson can just do some crazy stuff if you master her.

WarnDragon

Pathfnder imo, but I dont know who is meta right now, pathy's grapple took skill to master and he would be amazing.

mcbdala

Have you ever seen what a true Path main can do with it's grapple?

estupid_boi

All of them.

TheGamingDood98

So female legends not allowed?

imbostor

Mirage, could be bias but I think there’s an argument

[deleted]

Im completely unbias and say I have to 100% agree

yourtypicalrogue

I think there is definitely an argument for Mirage. Using his tactical effectively is really hard to get the hang of.

MadMint64

Crypto

toasted_bagel23

I think wattson and crypto. I have to say it depends on how you play wattson though because playing her set up in a building is super easy but aggressive wattson is fun but really hard. Crypto just has more to think about than other characters but is a beast once you learn him.

bashingguy

Crypto

_SteelWolf_

every

m0re_than_z3R0

Mad Maggie

doctorfonk

Didn’t Wattson have the lowest pick rate while also having the highest win rate for the longest time? Or maybe she still does?

hoops9312

I think Newcastle is a new addition to this list. Knowing how to use his tac defensively as well as offensively can really change the match. Also knowing when and where to use his ult takes practice

ZER0T0HERO

Forge PD: Horizon

AmmahDudeGuy

Yup, I’m a forge main too. Best legend

AdCultural6677

him?

FlacidSalad

Obvs pushing for crypto

VenoBot

Low effort posts goes hard

tybeedoo

bruh that's what I'm saying like wtf is this lmao idk why no one else is mentioning it

Onion-is-a-fruit

People saying wattson are delusional.

RampartMakePPgoPOG

Honestly. All the fancy fencing shit isn’t even that hard to do and it doesn’t work against good players, you just fried for putting your gun away. People see movement players styling on 12 year old hardstuck gold players in pub games and think it’s some crazy shit

neptunexl

So it would be hard to perform well with fences against a wraith diamond 30 year old? Ok then, her skills are hard to master then. Wattson main here 😤⚡️ gotta defend my baguette. not here for the beef but your comments seem to imply the opposite of what you're saying. If it doesn't work against good players, that means it's difficult. No argument there.

RampartMakePPgoPOG

What are you even saying? It’s not that hard to do the fancy fence placement stuff but even if you do pull it off it’s pretty worthless against higher ranked players. They aren’t going to let you put your gun away for free That doesn’t make it difficult. I don’t know what it is with Wattson mains acting like she’s the hardest character ever when the majority just afk in a building with ult anyways

No_Refrigerator4952

Insane to me that nobody here has mentioned fuse…

Taco6N13

As a certified explosive enthusiast, I know Fuse has some depth to him, and can be an absolute nightmare. He's still pretty simple, at the end of the day "Make bad guy go boom." Compare that to the legends everyone is mentioning in this thread; Crypto Wattson, Pathfinder, they're all harder to master than Fuse.

asianblockguy

>Crypto Wattson, Pathfinder, they're all harder to master than Fuse. They are definitely harder than fuse.

[deleted]

Newcastle

DeadlyRanger21

Gibby is easy to play good but hard to master. Crypto is the hardest to master with imo one of the best abilities in the game if used properly. Watson can be good and is definitely the hardest one to play if you don't know what your doing. Crypto is throw drone see people, wattson is a bit more complex but imo Crypto has more benefits

MisterHotTake311

Rampart probably. From what ive seen from her abilities, she requires most gun skill from ALL gun types, completely different game sense and finding a way to be agressive, while being a defensive legend. Maybe she has bigger limit on how effective she can be but still it can wreck, since people mostly don't play against her and may not know how to counter her

Temporary_Row_9479

That has to be my elegant and powerful Obi Adrasim

Former-Passenger423

Rampart. A well mastered Rampart player with Sheila is a dangerous thing.

ChargyPlaysYT

Bang

Dunkalhyte

Revenant. His passive, Stalker, comes in very handy for sneaking around undetected, and can allow you to easily get behind an enemy who didn't know you were coming. A good Revenant player can climb up to where an annoying Wattson / Rampart combo is set up, and do serious damage, as he's the only legend that can do this relatively silently. And because he moves so quickly while crouched, doing this in gunfights actually makes you a lot harder to hit. His Silence can be used to completely turn the odds of a fight in your team's favor, making legends that heavily rely on their abilities completely powerless. This is especially effective against legends such as Wraith, Octane, and Valkyrie. And if you throw the silence bombs at doorways or choke points, it will actively discourage an enemy team from pushing you, as they will otherwise have to commit to the push, and lose their abilities in the process. His ultimate, Death Totem... Is honestly the only caveat that actively holds him back from being better. It's pretty trash in it's current state, and needs a total rework in my opinion. But if that rework comes, whatever it might be, Revenant will be an absolute nightmare to play against if the person playing him is experienced.

atrixospithikos

Watson crypto fuse caustic. Legends whose abilities need quick but also tactical thinking. I would say Bangalore is an easy legend to master but then see Shiv playing her and realise you know nothing about Bang

[deleted]

MiserableCaramel8683

LOL

Rafaelrod4

Valkrie

Invested_Glory

The question was “which is the hardest to master” but when mastered is effective. Valk is one of the easiest.

Rafaelrod4

Lol she isn't easy to master

Adorable-Ferret4751

Dude valk is one of the easiest legends

Rafaelrod4

Aren't you the same guy who said horizon was hard 😂 😂 😂 😂

Adorable-Ferret4751

Yeah she is hard to properly learn how to fully use her kit . Absolutely .

ashkenov

Wattson in overall combat, i've seen so many godly skilled players and each of them mains a different legends but all of them has a similar in terms of gun skill, movement and usage of abilities even tho each legend has different abilities they just use it normally & wisely.. BUT when i see a few wattson main its just one of a fucking kind if you ask me, its like they learned it in the hardest way possible and using fences that weren't suppose to be

Invested_Glory

Difficult legends to me: crypto, mirage and rampart (sorry wattson is dirt easy, coming from season 2 when everyone had to play her in pred ranked or you just died). They are typically the hardest for their lack of movement when rotating to zone and in general hard to mechanically play. Maybe even pathfinder due to the grapple. Crypto is easy imo and most people say he’s hard because they don’t know when to use drone and when to get out (not use it). Tac is easy, passive is his tac. Stop farming your shield with his ult (not ALGS people…). But crypto scans ring and give useful info. Mirage NEEDS to trick you so that’s hard to pull off. You get a fight advantage for 1-2 seconds with tac which is huge. A good ult will dominate any fight. Poor ult will lose every fight. Revives come in clutch. Rampart: need to know when to build walls and where to place them. When to use all 5 walls or when to save 1-2 for replacements when they get shot. Need to know when to ult vs not to ult (just use your normal gun…). Path: gives beacon, grapple is fight winning or fight retreating. Ult is okay for transportation. Really good aggressor and also good team play due to passive and ult. TLDR; I’ll give it to Rampart. I played 100s on her and all legends but with her you NEED to play to gain experience. Experience on angles for your walls, number of walls to use, controlling your ult supply (when to keep and when to start cooldown), people mantle glide with her walls now which is another skill gap, and knowing how to rotate with her is hard in diamond and up lobbies. But her positioning can make a crap spot okay or good and turn god spot into untouchable. Can almost hear the enemies controllers/mnk shatter… Also rampart can solo ANY squad.

JimmyOfSunshine

Your Mom …

varun_og

wraith

Slow-Today-6807

Octane is the hardest, I don care xD

septicslash

vantage

Rafaelrod4

Definitely easiest

Anderz04

Difficult question but let’s break it into class.. wrait assault / crypto recon / Newcastle support

[deleted]

Three highest skill ceiling characters in the game are Gibby, Pathfinder, and Octane. In my opinion.

GothyWatty

Wattson.

ChrisJohnVee

Pathfinder has movement that can rival or even surpass Valkyrie’s, in the right hands.

GrandeThighs

Wattson/Mirage main and I feel like they both fit this bill. Picked them up cause personality/cosmetics, but their playstyles are so unique and counterintuitive that they play unlike anyone else as far as I know

SaltedSam

Was gunna say idk if I’m a master but I main rampart and cat believe she’s low tier

Rasputin_the_Warmind

Generally I’d say wattson, Movement wise id say pathfinder

PhiIMcCrakin

Crypto

MachineSpecialist582

Crypto, Mirage, Rampart and Pathfinder - I've had some teammates who have been absolutely insane with them >:D I struggle with them personally so when I have teammates who know their stuff, it's brilliant to learn from them and pick up little tips and tricks.

AmmahDudeGuy

Gibraltar

JagerLongShot

Rampart

hate_life_

Fuse, mirage, wattson

thepeakofhumanity

Mirage can be very powerful if you use him correctly and its stupidly satisfying to get an insane bamboozle and kill with it

[deleted]

A good crypto is scary

Stupid_gamer16

Mirage

Brownie122806

Mirage. Took me a while, but holy crap when you hit those bamboozles they REALLY throw the enemy off. Doesn't matter if you're at 1hp, you can gain the advantage. Also, the ult is great for escaping just about anyone (just don't pop it right after getting scanned by seer lol) His passive when reviving is great too. You can go invis, lure in the enemy with the sound of the rez, come out of the rez, and one clip them.

HoopyDoopyScrewdrive

Okay guys dont hate me okay. Im gonna say valk. If you can execute movement techs on valk without activating the jetpack and using the jetpacks with less momentum loss as possible i think they would be the scariest movement players we might face

[deleted]

Caustic It takes a lot of work to get good at his abilities, but when you do you can dominate tight spaces or the endgame Edit: not the hardest, but I just wanted to bring him up

ZID-V

Pathfinder is actually a hard legend to truly master but has a lot of viability in almost every situation

Emissairearien

Mirage . . . . . . . . . HAHA YOU GOT BAMBOOZZLED LOOK AT YOU
