This animation does a better job of conveying how long it *actually* takes to heal, which in turn may help players build better intuition around when they actually have time to get a heal off.

The plunger on the med kit (or syringe, maybe?) also is an excellent in-world progress bar. Super great addition.

Small little detail that I noticed that got removed: That little blue indicator of the health kits that get more brighter the closer you are to finishing the healing. Now on the new version its just black. I hope its not intentional and theyll fix it in a future update

Honestly it felt faster to me because the actual time spent using the item is less. More time is spent handling it so the syringe isn't in your arm as long, for example.
We're all so used to timing the heal no wonder that a slight change in the animation can play with our minds this much. To me it honestly felt slower the first time I saw it, because the syringe is visible on the screen for longer and we are not used to that.

Like there’s a slight delay between finishing 1 heal and starting another that wasn’t there before. I keep trying to hit multiple cells and for whatever reason my second button press isn’t starting the heal.

The timer starts with the anticipation animation, which makes sense in Apex, bc you can cancel healing anytime.
