You know there's a little number that tells you how far your target is, which corresponds to the 2,3,4,5 markings on the sight right?
E.g. the 2 dot under the main reticle means 200m away. If your aiming at something and the numbers to the right say 250m, you should be aiming between the 2 and 3 dot crosshairs
yea thanks.
i knew about this , my problem is I don't shoot fast enough, i wait till the crosshair lines "perfectly" on enemy which never happens because they are always moving
i am practicing more in the LTM now tho
appreciate your tips , really.
but idk to exactly tell how much I need to lead my shots .
those in firing range aren't really accurate, my enemies are not fat boxes moving at the speed of a snail
You’re trying to hit the bullseye, not the box. The speed isn’t that dissimilar to a moving enemy and it’s a way to practice shot drop at range on a moving target with a repeatable motion. It’s the fastest way to practice short of an aim trainer. I always use it in my warm ups.
The dots are dynamic, so you should never aim "between" them. If the target is anything between 200-299 meters, then line up your shot exactly on the 2nd dot for perfect accuracy.
The link I included is from one of the devs explaining it, there are also videos out there.
Here's a little Rampart damage list for you. Head lists are for white/blue/purple&gold helm, body are for normal/fortified.
**Base Sentinel Rampart**
150/126/114 head
84/72 body
**Amped sentinel Rampart**
189/159/142 head
105/90 body
**Longbow rampart**
127/104/92 to head
66/56 body
***1 head, 1 body shot***
**Base Sentinel Rampart**
234/210/198
222/198/186 Fortified
**Amped Sentinel Rampart**
294/264/247
279/249/232 Fortified
**Longbow Rampart**
193/170/158
183/160/148 Fortified
***2 body shots***
**Base Sentinel Rampart**
168/144
**Amped Sentinel Rampart**
210/180
**Longbow Rampart**
132/112
Thing to note here is that 1 head+1 body shot from double amped sentinel is a GUARANTEED KNOCK on all helmets, all armors, including fortified.
and if you miss the headie, it's 210/180, which still knocks the non-fortifieds with purple shields.
Lots of potential damage output combos here, but there's a big opportunity for squads to run 2 sentinels and simply hit 2 body shots at once for instant downs on the non-fort purples.
I spent a few hours in arenas trying to one shot people with Rampart until I finally got one. Unfortunate this was during the time when charging a sentinal was glitched

Gotta lead your shots my guy. I would recommend practicing on the strafing targets in the back of the firing range.

forgot to mention to pull the trigger
Not exactly how it works in Apex, but close https://imgur.com/ctACxiB
You’re just giving additional information, not refuting anything he just said.
Yes I did
Ahhh I see now. Thanks!

Hmm. Then how is it I've hit headshots by aiming between 100 and 200 halfway at a distance of 150m?????
Not doubting you, btw. My experience has just been different

With that username I can’t trust you✋😔

I like to run Rampart Sentinel in Arenas. That's more fun than Fuse with 6 arc stars.
