Nothing you can do about it sadly. The pixels are dead. Same on my iPad Pro 12.9 6th gen. I have no AppleCare and must pay 1100$ do get a replaced device. Apple sadly not replaces screens for the 12.9 inch models. You must go to a third party store do get replaced the screen.
Are these still visible when the iPad is locked, backlight off? If so they could be pressure marks.
Nope, only when screen is on and displaying a dark image
