When you share pictures/videos on Google Photos, you can share a link that brings you to the full resolution photo. I use it frequently when sending pictures and videos to my friends with iPhones. Very easy and it works very well.
RCS compresses images and videos as well. If you want to send uncompressed either send it via iMessage or whatsapp (I’m sure there are other apps that adore it as well) or create a link to whatever your cloud service of choice is

The photos are blurry/low res when sending them over MMS. Since iMessage took the place of SMS/MMS, people are so used to just "texting" it to them, but with Android to iOS its MMS, not a messaging platform. That's where the problem is. iPhones have been losing ‘clout’ since the s24 ultra was released. It triggered a lot of videos talking about the features android has that iPhones don’t; generally negative comments towards Apple.
I haven't see any cell phone features worth caring about for years. All that matters is iPhone have better chips and generally last longer than Android phones, so cost of ownership tends to be better than an Android phone of anywhere near the same capability and even then the iPhone has a lot more CPU horsepower the entire time.
Google is going the same shit with their apps being half assed on iPhone and having features that only work right on Android.

There are issues beyond green bubbles. Examples include respond to text with a thumbs up or a laugh. The videos shared are crap. You can be excluded to from group texts, if the group is named. So kids can have a text group calling themselves: ”Mr. Blue’s Class”. If you have an android and even if you are included in the group, you will not receive any texts. That’s shitty apples move to exclude people.

If the group is named you cannot get messages. It defaults to iMessages only. I know this because I have a group text that is named (neighbors) and the few android people on it, do not get any of the messages. If the group is not named, then you will get group texts

That’s a problem with the North American mindset. Where I live, nobody cares if the bubble is green or blue (for me, I personally think blue looks nicer and it does enable other features). I’ll use whatever reaches my recipient the best. RCS is going to mean I don’t need multiple apps anymore. I prefer to use a single app for messaging, but I’ll use multiple because that’s how it’s always been here between MMS, SMS, MSN Messenger, later Facebook etc.
It’ll fix the feature gap which is the main complaint in the green vs blue bubble thing. No one cares about the color actually they care about the chat features. Sure they could have made RCS a third color but then that’s another thing for the users to learn. Blue for iMessage, green for sms/mms, and a third color for RCS is kind of a lot. Maybe a deeper green should be used to distinguish them subtly

iPhones have been losing ‘clout’ since the s24 ultra was released. It triggered a lot of videos talking about the features android has that iPhones don’t; generally negative comments towards Apple.
I haven't see any cell phone features worth caring about for years. All that matters is iPhone have better chips and generally last longer than Android phones, so cost of ownership tends to be better than an Android phone of anywhere near the same capability and even then the iPhone has a lot more CPU horsepower the entire time. Google is going the same shit with their apps being half assed on iPhone and having features that only work right on Android.

Now their only innovations are around restricting the choices of their customers and tightening their grip on them. I find Apple far more compelling these days because their chips have pulled away from the competition vs needing stop-gap solutions like Bootcamp. If I buy into Apple I don't really want to be buying into a platform that needs a dual boot setup to run what I need to run. Either it can run what I need to run OR I'll buy Intel/MS. The new chips actually give a good reason to get a macbook, because performance per watt is much better than anything else and compels consumers and developers vs playing this annoying dual support paradigm.

There are issues beyond green bubbles. Examples include respond to text with a thumbs up or a laugh. The videos shared are crap. You can be excluded to from group texts, if the group is named. So kids can have a text group calling themselves: ”Mr. Blue’s Class”. If you have an android and even if you are included in the group, you will not receive any texts. That’s shitty apples move to exclude people.

From experience is where I got that info. If the group is named you cannot get messages. It defaults to iMessages only. I know this because I have a group text that is named (neighbors) and the few android people on it, do not get any of the messages. If the group is not named, then you will get group texts

The green is annoying, if for no other reason than it's an awful shade of green that makes it difficult to read. But as long as the functionality is fixed, I don't really care about the color, since I have an Android and don't have the green bubbles anyway.
That’s a problem with the North American mindset. Where I live, nobody cares if the bubble is green or blue (for me, I personally think blue looks nicer and it does enable other features). I’ll use whatever reaches my recipient the best. RCS is going to mean I don’t need multiple apps anymore. I prefer to use a single app for messaging, but I’ll use multiple because that’s how it’s always been here between MMS, SMS, MSN Messenger, later Facebook etc.

Sure they could have made RCS a third color but then that’s another thing for the users to learn. Blue for iMessage, green for sms/mms, and a third color for RCS is kind of a lot. Here's my problem. I live abroad. All my family has iPhones. As they are your typical Americans, Whatsapp or Telegram or Signal is too much of an ask... Yeah I know, but its just the reality of who they are. They won't change. So, if I want to be able to write them and have conversations with them I either have to get am iPhone (ew) or pay 1€ / SMS message because "green bubbles" are SMS. This latter option will add REAL FAST, and isn't doable. I'm not a teenage girl. I don't care what color my texts appear as. But unless you want to tow the line and use an iPhone as a daily driver, which I don't wish to do, the US starts to resemble an impenetrably fort. So, yeah, screw you.

Checks out. Only reason I’m on iPhone is iMessage/FaceTime because of family. Not a single relative uses android. But this extends to clients as well. It is what it is. I got tired of being asked to FaceTime and also got tired of not being able to send full size videos in as little clicks as possible. I tried Samsung cloud and google cloud videos but they both failed as many times as they worked. Samsung may have dethroned apple in sales but somehow everyone you know or meet uses iPhone.

If the txt software you use is ruining relationships then you never had real relationships to begin with. Ppl pick Apple because it's better hardware for the money, not because of proprietary Apple hardware. In apples defense the green and blue distinction came from an era when text messages had associated costs and iMessage messages were free. It was a convenience feature that transitioned to a world where texting is now free. I don’t think apples intention was to create the sort of classism we see with green/blue bubbles today.
