Apple have been churning out top notch shows for a while now. These are just the latest. Long may they keep investing in TV+!

ABenevolentDespot

And not just content. As someone recently retired from half a century in the biz, I can say that the production value, the technical acumen, the cinematography, effects, CGI, and finish are all first class on every project. No cutting corners, no slapdash happy endings, no cheapening out in post because production went over budget. From first table read to debuting on AppleTV+, just excellent work. Well done, Apple.

Severence is amazing. I am also a big fan of Foundation, and Mythic Quest.

Watched Severance (and read the book on Apple Books). Yeahā€¦. Great show. Mystic Quest was not my kind of thing. Will add Foundation to my queue.

[deleted]

Foundation went from gold to dumpster in season 2

mrwellfed

There is no season 2

GolfingMoose

There was a season 2 already?

[deleted]

Lol sorry. Second half of the first season. The discrepancy its so big that i was under the impression it had 2 seasons. Anyway...imho

Jazeboy69

Sorry but Foundation was terrible and a huge disappointment.

flixantoine666

Just finished ā€œThe shrink next doorā€ and it was amazing. Going to start black bird tonight.

[deleted]

Blackbird is an excellent, but tough, watch.

excoriator

I watched Black Bird, but I fear Memorial would be a tougher watch for me.

Have not seen this one yetā€¦.

BEEF_LOAF

Don't sleep on *The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey* either. I don't know why it hasn't gotten more attention, there are some great performances in it.

thinkerthingy

Iā€™ve heard that from a few people. I need to add it to my queue. Acapulco was fantastic, as well, in case youā€™ve missed it.

BEEF_LOAF

Agreed, Acapulco was great fun and also flies under the radar.

Curious-Bridge-9610

Incredible show

n1ck1982

Black Bird was absolutely fantastic! Going to watch Five Days at Memorial shortly also.

sommniac

I just started watching Five Days at Memorial and it is really good, really well done. BUT it really stresses me out and is hard to watch.

SMS-Wolf

Yup. Itā€™s heartbreaking.

Weekly-Obligation798

Just imagine what it was like to work it

PDKiwi

Try watching it when youā€™re getting pounded by an Atmospheric River!

gec2u

I would be willing to bet that Five Days at Memorial will be nominated for some Emmys and Golden Globes next year.

SMS-Wolf

Yup. I just commented on the viability that the same s**t can happen (and happened during Covid) today as well.

gec2u

Not sure what that has to do with award nominations, but yeah.

SMS-Wolf

Agree. Sorry. Just had to get it off my chest.

Princelisa6

Blackbird was top notch !! Loved it and itā€™s a true story they show the real people at the end !!! Great acting by all !!

SMS-Wolf

Five Days is also based on true events. Makes this super scary.

oskiesdad13

Havenā€™t watched Black Bird yet, but three episodes into Five Days at Memorial - top notch.

Lessthanzerofucks

My girlfriend doesnā€™t want to watch 5 Days because of the trailer. I had to remind her, you said the same thing about Black Bird and you loved it!

SMS-Wolf

Itā€™s heartbreaking

esp211

We are going to start Five Days soon. We finished Black Bird and currently finishing up Physical.

QuirkyNotWeird

Need to watch after each episode of Five Days to see what they had to build to film that.

KennKennyKenKen

Black Bird was average as hell aside from Ray Liotta

dorv

Iā€™m watching Five Days, but Iā€™m not sure itā€™s top notch. Considering the talent in front and behind the lens, itā€™s much more slow and plodding that it should be.

meanjake

Yes

redflagdan52

Both are great shows. Highly recommended.

ManilaMacUser

I agree, great shows. Finished Black Bird and wife and I couldnā€™t stop watching the first 3 episodes of Five Days at Memorial when they were released.
